Yeah nobody seems to have mentioned Madrid are the real idiots here, buying James Rodriguez for however much millions when they have a player who was twice as good and also tactically very important to their team. Still 60M for a player that doesn't want to be there is exceptional business. Also all this laughing at United for spending 60M on a player, who is very good and I would consider world class, its not as bad as when we spent 50M on Torres when he was already looking to be finished is it? United are still well off the pace though, top 4 will be a struggle unless they get another central midfielder and center back of a very high standard if they intend on playing this 3-5-2.

Promoted teams are always difficult to play against. You don't exactly know what your going to get but 6 points out of 6 against Burnley and Leicester with some great football and not so great football (1st half vs Leicester) is great because promoted teams always look to get scalps against the big boys. Diego Costa 2 in 2 as well.

I think he'd be a good buy for Liverpool, offers something different to Sturridge, physical presence (although they do have that in Lambert) but a much more mobile and technical player (although Lamberts technique aint too bad to be honest) who can win a game in an instance. I'd say we should make a move for him to be a back up but hes too good to be a back up in my eyes, sure he has had problems in the past but we've all seen how good he can be.

Well that what happens when you have young footballers that have come through a big academy, had everything given to them and then went on to sign a pro deal on a massive salary for someone his age. Islam Feruz is another guy who has caused a lot of controversy doing things and reportedly saying things since bursting onto the scene at Celtic however many years ago and well now he is still here and hasn't done much other than play for the reserves and decline the opportunity to play for Scotland u21s because he doesn't want to play internationally at u21 level apparently. Honestly if he said those things and he goes over to Holland with that mentality he will fail. Its always better to earn something through hard work, English u21 players have it to easy, bigger salaries than Brazilian u21s or Spainish u21s. Some players get cautious because they think I'm getting X Y or Z amount of money, some don't. Things need to change though, even Andreas Christensen here, he is getting 20,000 a week apparently, that is ridiculous.

Think it makes sense to sell him. No point paying a number 2 goalkeeper over 100k a week when hes hardly gonna play because I can see Courtois being our number 1 for the next 10 years.
-
They spent 32M on a CB who isn't even much better than Nastasic in my eyes. Nastasic have struggled with injuries the last year and a bit but hes a very talented player and hes younger than Mangala.
-
Is that an Ivanovic cross hitting the post.... jesus haha. More of the same please though Diego, goals goals and more goals. Heard he should have had a penalty too after pressing a back pass.
-
Just seen his assist for Schurrle. World class. Arsenal fans can fuck off hopefully he scores at the Emirates.
-
Just stop. Your favorite player is Cech. You claim that Courtois hasn't earned a right to play even though he played. Shhhhhhhhhhht.
-
My god what a load of shite. Jose isn't going to play Courtois simply because he has demanded he won't sit on a bench. He will play him if hes done enough in training to prove hes the better goalkeeper out of him and Petr. You said people are writing thinking they know what they are talking about even though what you said is pretty fucking stupid. Jose isn't going to make someone first choice because they demand it. Look at what happened with Lukaku. Idiot.
-
No chance hes making it here now we have Matic and Cesc, should have just sold him. English or not hes hardly developed since he turned 17 whats the point keeping a player who has shown no improvement in 4 years?
-
There was also a rumor going around that Chelsea wanted to offer Eto'o another contract (on twitter and in the link) but he didn't want to negotiate after the comments Mourinho had made but I don't know how true that is but if its true I doubt he wouldn't want to negotiate if he hadn't fallen out with Jose... I mean we are contending for titles, playing CL football and paying the man decent wages. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/arsenal-sign-samuel-etoo-theyd-3620735
-
To be honest the only reason I think Jose resigned Drogba was because he had fucked up the chances of us signing Eto'o this year with his comments towards the end of the season. Eto'o suits our team more than Drogba does in my eyes.
-
It really does make sense though because Navas and Casillas have good reflexes and shot stopping ability but both are poor in the air coming and dealing with crosses. Madrid just sold Diego Lopez (or are in the process of doing so), the only keeper they had/have who was strong at coming for crosses and dealing with them. Cech's always been a very good keeper in terms of coming and dealing with crosses from set plays, open play and corners. Also Casillas is he really that good anymore? Not really. Is Navas good enough to be number 1 at Real Madrid? Also you could say not really.
-
Rojo is a CB though but yeah he can play LB. Daley Blind makes more sense for them, although they also need a CB, as hes able to cover LB and CM.
-
I'd take a nice 2-0 win, the same as against Hull at the start of last season. Going out, winning 5 or 6-0 and sending a message would be nice too but personally I'd prefer a 2 or 3-0 win, with a great Costa performance, something that isn't exactly going to maybe put pressure on us to score 5 or 6 goals every game or make people expect that like with City last season.
-
Na why would we loan him? We'd go back to being short in midfield in my eyes. Matic, Mikel, Ramires, Oscar and Cesc for potentially 3 places if we play 4-3-3. As well Ramires will be the only really box to box midfield player (even though you could say Cesc is one now but I'd say hes more an advanced midfield player) so if Ramires gets injured then what? Mikel and Matic in the pivot? Can't see Jose loaning him. Honestly selling Cech would make solve a lot of problems.
-
Would be gutted if we sold Schurrle especially after his second half of the season at Chelsea and exceptional World Cup performances. He finally found his feet and was impressing so to sell him despite him being 23 and a very good system player who can play various roles I would be gutted. Not to mention the genuine enthusiasm he brings to when he plays, you can see he enjoys being at Chelsea and plays with passion every game, like Luiz did - although Luiz's footballing ability left a lot to be desired at various times throughout his stint here. I know we have one foreign player too much and we need to sell but I think it will be Cech to be honest.
-
No way Ramires will be benched. He brings the athleticism and energy to the midfield that Matic and Cesc in particular can't offer/match. Sure Matic ran the most kilometers in the games vs City and also Liverpool but still hes not the same as Ramires in terms of mobility. Also if we are going to play with high pressing, Ramires is a must in my eyes. Cesc is also a must in our team high pressing or not because he can control games like nobody else in our team in my eyes even if we line up playing him as the furthest forward midfielder in a 4-3-3 or as a number 10 in a 4-2-3-1. I personally think Oscar could have his work cut out to be first choice number 10 in a 4-2-3-1 or as a more advanced midfielder in a 4-3-3.
-
To be honest this guy could end up as a regular for us in a few years as a LB, CM or possibly even CB if he decides to bulk up a bit. Where is he going to be at his best though?
-
Italian football should suit him. Lots of space and a slow tempo, will give him a chance to shine if he can stay injury free. Hopefully get a decent loan so Fiorentina will buy him, pity his spell here turned out to be quite bad (even though I didn't have much high hopes) as he did have a decent reputation in the Bundesliga before coming here.
-
Mans an absolute brute, I know its pre-season but I haven't been as excited about a striker we have signed since Sheva (who let me down with his poor record haha), can't wait to see him in action in the PL.
-
Tbh Demba was one of my favorite players here when we signed him, mainly because of the whole strawberry syrup thing hahaha and the fact he scored that beauty vs City. Good to see him doing well albeit for a lesser club against a lesser team.
-
As long as he doesn't get booked for being a diving shitebag I couldn't give a fuck. He wont either because that is one thing he isn't.
