  1. Yeah, of course not... That is the child, Mohammad Al Durrah, being shot dead in his fathers lap. They didn't kill the father, just aimed at the child's head. I don't want a debate, but do you think your media will tell you when Palestinians are shot for no reason? I don't even want an answer for that question, I just want you to think about it.
  2. Planning a testimonial for him means the club announcing that they will not be offering him an extension, something I'm not sure they have decided on yet and even if they have, I doubt they'd want to reveal that at this stage of the season. If he ends up not renewing his contract, then we can plan a testimonial for him ahead of next season or during it or even when he retires from football all together.
  3. Apparently Sky have reported that Luiz trained today while Ash did not.
  4. Hahahahaha I was imagining it from his point of view
  5. Please, Lebanese people are the pioneers of mindless provocative news reporting, or as I like to call it: the "Breaking News" culture It's very simple and very effective, at least in our Arab world: Keep the focus zoomed in on small pointless details, over-dramatize and over-sensationalize every little piece of news (if you can make it rhyme, all the better) and keep it coming all day long. And since people only listen or read the media that agrees with their general political "view", you end up with two different societies inside the country, each made up of people who are unable to see the bigger picture and act wit their instincts instead of reason. Those people are obviously very easily manipulated.
  6. Of course. The role of "traditional" media is diminishing with every passing month.
  7. If our strikers were Cavani and Ibrahimovic, then yeah, it was awful. But for the standards set by our strikers, it was decent.
  8. Yeah, his movement and runs and perssing were good, but his first touch and decision making was awful. That's what I call decent.
  9. Ron, no one blocked the MOTM poll. Steve added Chris Foy at the end as a joke. If you could not see it for sometime, then it must have been your browser or a problem with the forum loading because no one else had this problem.
  10. Decent in the first half, absolutely hopeless in the second. I get Jose's decision to start him, in fact, I said that he should start before the match, but he really needs to find his start of season form if we are to have a chance at the title.
  11. FFS can we move on, please? Stop calling our own players shit, but more importantly stop calling our members racist because of a football opinion!
  12. Was bad in the last 20 minutes, and should have done better in the goal, but he was still my MOTM. The first 70 mins, and especially the first half, he was IMMENSE!
  13. Just like Chelsea, it just wasn't his day yesterday. First touch let him down more often than now. As stated above, he would have been perfect starting the game to exploit the high line, but then again Villa surprised us with that line and we could not have known before the match.
  14. I don't care about the ref, I care about our players. The game may have been over but because Ramires acted mindlessly we are now missing a key player for three games in the last of the season. That maybe much more damaging losing a game. He's compromised the work that was done by his teammates, the manager and himself because of his idiotic act. I don't blame Ramires for us losing today, but he did do something incredibly stupid.
  15. He stamped his foot down on his leg. You can tell it's intentional by the force with which he put his foot down. If this was an opposition player on one of our lads, everyone here would be abusing him. We should not be defending such actions. This kind of violent play does not belong in sports.
  16. Reckless, irresponsible, disgraceful, mindless,, plain stupid "tackle" to make. He's let the whole team down and put a huge dent in our title challenge just because of he again showed zero intelligence on the pitch. And I do think it was intentional. He actually put his foot down harder than he would if he didn't mean to stamp on. There is no point defending what he did and we as fans should not tolerate such a behavior in the team.
  17. I know no one wants to hear this, but Villa were robbed from a win at the Bridge earlier this season. It's football it happens. What I am disappointed and disgusted by is what Ramires did right there at the end. He's let the whole team down. I'm not sure our title chances can survive this.
  18. Can someone explain the offside rule for those linesmen. Same applies to all of our front four and has been the case throughout the season, not just today. I'm well aware of Torres' limitations, especially when it comes to his first touch and decision making, but his movement has been good, which is a positive for the team.
  19. I think it clearly hit his arm. On any occasion, Foy gave the ball, it was the assistant who gave the handball. As for Torres, his movement has been great, imo. How many times has he run behind them with a diagonal run down the left flank?
  20. Good half. Credit for Villa, they tried something different with their defensive organization with a fairly high line and two very close banks of 4. Basically they have a 2v1 in central areas in the middle every time. But we've countered them well and were unlucky not run behind them. Linesman has been shocking. Schurrle on for Willian is a must, imo.
