yorkie reacted to ChelseasMessiah in π§πͺ Kevin de Bruyne
I feel sorry for the lad as he's a talent, but if we play devil's advocate, he really hasn't taken his chances other than the game against Hull. Having said that, there are players who have been utterly terrible and yet play every week.

yorkie reacted to Jype in π§πͺ Romelu Lukaku
You mean Andy Carroll who has only 27 PL goals in his career compared to Lukaku's 25, despite being four years older and having played double the amount of Premier League games than Lukaku has? Andy Carroll, whose best season goalscoring-wise was 13 league goals and hasn't done fuck all in the three years since that? The same Andy Carroll who is not even a regular at a mediocre West Ham side and only managed seven league goals there last season?

Clearly not ready for chelsea, scoring as a striker, how dares he. He has to take that aspect out of his game to make a chance for a starting spot as our striker.

yorkie reacted to Las7 in πͺπΈ Fernando Torres
Real had Cronaldo and Ozil which can play in Kaka's best position(behind the striker); we've had Torres forced down our throats due to the fact that none of our other options are quite as big of a name as him. If we had Falcao/Cavani/Zlatan or some other big game he would have sat his ass on the bench for as much time as Kaka has set his ass at Real.
It's not even about how good the player is, it's the fact that our board fucked up and made the blunder in the History of the EPL transfers and have been trying to justify it ever since. If our board had gone and signed another high profile striker after Torres(even Eto'o at this point doesn't count as one), Torres would not have played 134 matches to score 35 goals.

yorkie reacted to Goemaere in πͺπΈ Fernando Torres
Torres biggest quality in my opinion is scoring important goals, not for the club but for himself. Every time we think it's impossible that this guy is going to start the next 5 games he makes a nice goal. And immediately afterwards has a dry spell of 400 minutes of pure awefulness and mediocrity.

Since Lukaku only played in the league, you should only count Fernando's league goals. Which means 17 goals for Lukaku compared to 8 for Torres.
Please be honest in your comparisons. ;-)

yorkie reacted to Vybz Kartel in πΈπ³ Demba Ba
I am sorry to say but BA, Torres and Etoo is not a champions league or league winning strike force at all. There is no wild card like Lukaku would have been. I really fuming that Lukaku was sacrificed for Ba.

yorkie reacted to bushman in π§πͺ Romelu Lukaku
So much for Jose promising to bring young players.
This was the wrong move for Chelsea.
The kid established himself last year, played well enough in pre-season, was promised to get a chance by bombastic Jose & now, he fucked him.
Chelsea bought an old geezer EtoΒ΄o & who knows how he will perform.
BA, Torres, EtoΒ΄o 3 useless strikers. Meanwhile, Lukaku = young, explosive but was sent packing.
He would have provided plenty of quality minutes as a substitute. His 17 goals were 6th most in the PL last year & more than fucking any player from Chelsea.
As I said, WRONG DECISION.

Indeed, when you write it you have a lot more time to come up with an answer then in a conversation.

You are right. We should judge him on 1 game instead of 50.
Oh and btw: FUCK YOU TORRES

Many people can understand written English at a good level, and even write themselves, but if it came to the actual speaking of the language they would struggle a lot. It used to be like this with me for instance, and probably is similar with Eto'o. After learning English at school for 7-8 years you can basically write and understand most words, tenses, etc but speaking wise you can only string a few sentences together. A bit like mastering theory of football from textbooks but not being able to play the actual game.
I think members whose first language isn't English, would probably agree with me.

Torres brilliant backup? Why is that?
Because he finally made a goal again?
Because he was expensive and therefore gets unlimited chances..

yorkie got a reaction from Sheva. in π§πͺ Romelu Lukaku
Drogba played his first match for a 1st division team at the age of 23 (in france) and moved 2 Chelsea at the age of 25, Lukaku did this at the age of 16 and moved at the age of 18...
Drogba's prestations weren't always on the same level either, he had only 2 or 3 good season (check wikipedia for stats)
So Romelu has stil a lot of time 2 get on the same level as Drogba
Chelsea has been pursuing him since the age of 13, so i don't think he already reminded people of drogba back then.
They want him for is talent, the possibilities and for what he already achieved.
