While Ramires played a good game and much more useful then Schurrle, i wouldn't say he changed the game. What changed the game was when we pressed very high, and didn't allow Swansea bring up the ball with ease. Watch the game from 30m up you will see how much more difficult Swansea had and that point we really pinned them back and controlled the game. Ramires addition only further helped in that department. Also early in the game our passing was very sloppy, Matic and Schurrle were the biggest offenders of that. The midfield of Ramires-Matic-Cesc is flawed, i could tell you what is wrong with it but i suggest watching the Everton game again.

Same could be said for Ibra and Suarez. Suarez last season lined up behind Sturidge at times and played on the left or right. Ibra drops back play in the hole to connect PSG midfield and attackers.

I can comfertably say Ibrahimovic is the best player on that list. It is unfair for numerous reasons for him to be on the list, especially since his body of work is so much greater then all of those players, we are talking about arguably 10 years considered one of the best at his positions and still in fine form. After Messi and Ronaldo, Zlaten will be remembered as the best and gifted forward of his generation. Second on the list for me is Suarez. For all the fuss about Ibra CL and international goal scoring/performance, few things should be mentioned about Suarez l. Suarez performance against top EPL sides has left a lot to be desired, and he has not even take great part in the biggest club competition in the world. Still think he is the runaway second on that list. It is a shame Aguero cant stay healthy, i would love to see what he can achieve if he stay stayed on the field. Been injured and inconsistent last two seasons. Where is Sturridge on the list, not saying he is the best but i would definitely take him over a few on that list. Without saying if Costa has another season like last season, he would make an argument as arguably the best striker in the world.

Huge if is right, i wonder some realize Willian is 26 not some 21 year old. People need to accept that he is what he is. A very good player but will never be a great finisher and always lack a great end product. For me his best position is through the middle, always has played his best football in that role. But i hardly doubt he would get regular games there with us, with the options we have. Huge fan of Reus and love to see him here, but i have a feeling Bayern will buy him next summer to replace Ribary.

Going to say it now that Ancelotti will not be at Madrid next season, he is getting sacked this season. That team is going to struggle defensively mightly. Early season sturggle, unbalnaced squad and Carlo weak league resume is enough for me make that predicition. I don't know if it was his decision to allow Alonso, Lopez and Di maria to leave, but having no backbone to stand against Flo is no excuse either.

Yep Everton absloutely controlled the tempo and midfield in this game, Oscar distribution ability and droping back in our build up was seriously missed.
-
Mikel the closer specialist
-
Oscar had a better game and didn't face tired defenders.

Whats with the Cahill cristim? Am i missing something he was arguably as good as any CB in the PL last season and he started this campign with a good game. As for who in the Terry/Cahill partnership make who look better? They both do, Terry is benefiting playing along Cahill, Terry at this age is not mobile he very much helped by Cahill and his athletiscm who does more of the running between the two CB. Cahill is benefited by playing alongside Terry, who organizes the back four gives instructions to Cahill. Best CB partnership in the PL, and sure this season we will play more attacking and be less protected at times. But you look it another way that by playing more attacking you pin your oppenonent more down, and they will react to our team and play more defensive. Matic-Cesc-Oscar controlled that midfield against Burnley that haven't seen all last season. Those two combination will help our defense, and we might end up with less goals conceded this season. I know Cahill had many doubters before last season, it seems like some don't want to admit they were wrong. Even though Cahill deservedly ended in the PL team of the season. Ivanovic-Cahill don't work because of one game against Swansea? One game, yeah that makes sense.

Ineista type game, used his dribbling to create space for others and penertrate through Burnley defense.

More likely scenario is PSG paying Real Madrid Di Maria transfer over a period of time. They don't have to pay upfront if Real Madrid agrees to it. Di Maria transfer fee will only partially apply to PSG in this fiscal year. As for Cavani is not going to happen, to much resources would be allocated to the striker position. I believe Cavani makes 250K a week at PSG, that is contract i don't see many club touching + transfer fee.

I personally trust German clubs and their respective managers to develop young players. I have no faith in English clubs and their dinosaur managers. Bungesliga has a much better environment to develop, and EPL relies too much on physical abilities in contrast to technical abilities. A league that values physical abilities will always have a hard time developing young players, since most kids don't develop physically until much later. It is good the club realizes this, smart choice by the club to loan Hazard, Kalas, and now Piazon to Bundesliga. On the other hand Lukaku and Zouma are perfect for a English loan. Also managed Diego and Ozil, so he knows how to use Am's. Bring back memories those Ozil and Hunt days were fun to watch.

Don't think he is shit either, like his talent personally. But my point against an Isco signing is simply this: We already have Willian who we are hoping he could take his game another 1 or 2 step in his second season at Chelsea. We have Oscar who has not put it all together for a whole season. So we are waiting on two players, no need add another who comes with similar questions marks.
-
Isco being unimpressive at Real Madrid is a fact, not many would argue with that who seen Madrid regularly. No point in signing Isco, massive talent but serious under performer. We already have Oscar and Willian, hoping these two players would pick up their performance next season. Adding another player in the same category makes no sense. Going after a more proven commodity like Di Maria or Reus is a good argument to make on the other hand.
-
When he signed that contract he was an 18 year old and was a 4th choice CB at the club. He signed a 6 year contract, Real are not going to renew until next season at the very least.
-
He needs to stay healthy, he seem to be picking up injuries left and right. He could do a Sahin, broke into Dortmund squad at a early age, youngest player to play in Bundesliga then his career pretty much stagnated then overcame his early struggle and became pivotal in Dortmund rise as champion of Bundesliga. So it is not unheard of for a player to face career stagnation and able to overcome it down the line.

Dude Mata was on below 70k a week and Oscar is far below that too. Are you gonna conclude the same about Chelsea players wages? You have to remember that Hiquain came from River plate and Kheidra came from Stuttgart on a very low key transfer. Market dictates wages, their is no reason for Madrid to offer them 100k wages or higher. Just like why we didn't offer Mata and Oscar high wages. And also neither Higuain or Khedira are much valued at Real. OT: No thanks to Kheidra, i am hoping Arsenal finalizes this deal as soon as possible.

Di Maria was mostly used as a CM/CAM last season, he had his greatest season there. He proved last season with Real and last few years with Argentina that his best position is CM. I think it should be noted that Di Maria( or agent) is also very much pushing for a move away from Real Madrid, he has never been really appreciated at Madrid and Madrid do not want to give him the wages that Mendes want for his client. It is a big loss for Madrid, he is by far a superior player to Kroos.
-
People need to calm down the Zouma hype, the guy got outperformed and was benched at ASSE. He is no Varane, at this point i think his potential is Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa or Sahko. Zouma might be up there with Varane athletically and i might even give him an edge, but Varane is absolutely on a another galaxy with his understanding of the game and maturity. He will also get absolutely get overrated by a few cameos, where he will put in a few hard tackles. Knowing how much of a hard on some have for hard sliding tackles. Down want be a downer, but some need to come down to earth.
-
Have you considered Sanchez and James don't want to go to Liverpool. I am sure they would like Sanchez in the Suarez transfer, but if the player doesn't want to join they can do nothing about it. Liverpool cannot compete for elite talents that are wanted by Europe biggest clubs.

RIP A player who Pele rates as the greatest ever.

Is L'Equipe reporting it or are they citing another website? because that makes a big difference.

Come on are you really suggesting he doesn't get criticized enough? There is 570+ pages on this thread, you think it is all filled with a wankfest over Hazard? There are many over the top criticism of the boy. I think it was @Barbara, who mentioned that there is seems to be a lot of revisions of history. Apparently Oscar was only good against Juve, now according to some Hazard was only good for a few games last season. It seems like you want a unanimous opinion, you won't get that there will always be people on different aisles in discussions. Go to the Azpilicueta thread if you want to see a player enormously over praised. I don't see anything unnatural on this thread. For every action there is a reaction, people start criticizing Hazard it will lead to others defending him. On to his World Cup performance, it would be unfair to say he had a horrible world cup. Lets have some perspective, he provided two winning assists in the group stage and his general performance beside the Argentina game have been decent. He definitely hasn't been a top performer in the world, but to say he has been "garbage," "horrible," "Terrible," etc is not true. Belgium made the quarter-final and imo that is a very good finish for them based on their talent. People who are saying that they should have done much better are extremely overrating their players. They have absolutely no Fullbacks that can provide any threat going forward or can overlap out wide, and their midfield is average. Witsel is decent not world class like some people think he is on this forum. He has absolutely regressed since going to Russia, need to leave if he wants to get his career back on track. They left their best midfielder at home, Radja Nainggolan is better then anything they have. I have not even got to their strikers or their incapable manager.

Seems like Illarramendi will be made available. I would take him here, since he will most likely go at a cut-price.
-
I think Kroos will be an alternative to Modric.
