Not entirely convinced he'd put up RvP, Suarez, or Agüero numbers consistently in this league. He's 18 years old. Paying £22m or whatever it is for someone who could be with the club for 10 or more years sounds like a wise investment to me.

And rightly so, in my opinion.We're in the same position United are. Aging LB who's past his best and will likely be gone in the summer. Couldn't be a more perfect buy for us. He's a Chelsea supporter, he's young, and he's English. Everything falls in line with the new philosophy of the club. Would be terrible if United get him instead of us.
