If we can't beat this lot at home without their two best players...
-
The chairman has said that none of their players are for sale this month. We'll either have to pay a large premium now or wait until the summer.
-
He said he's not starting out of respect to the other players. He COULD start if Jose wanted him to.
-
So has Diddling Dave had his press conference yet to confirm or deny whether Rooney and RvP will play?
-
True, but that release clause is probably astronomical, right? I'd imagine so since he just signed a new contract.
-
Would Jose really throw a kid like Kalas who hasn't played a minute for us this season in the deep end in competitions like the CL or a close title race?
-
If getting Costa mean letting Courois stay there permanently then I'd say no.
-
Hmmm. With Ivanovic injured, what happens if Ash gets hurt too? Azpi already looks like he's fatigued at times in matches. Could we really be getting Shaw now? Hope so.
-
If we go for him now while there's turmoil at the club I think we have a better chance than in the summer when United and a City will push hard for him too.
-
That could be a good idea.Although Shaw could benefit from playing the business end of the season under the tutelage of his hero Ashley Cole. What if he's gone in the summer? Makes so much sense to get him in now. Azpi won't have to play on the left anymore. We'd have 2 right backs in Azpi and Iva, and two left backs in Ash and Shaw.
-
Can you imagine how much jizz will be blasted if we got both Matic AND Shaw in 1 month? Two positions we need to fill, two who are connected to the club in some way already. Perfect, really. This rumored deal looks reasonable, too. They get a nice chunk of cash and a direct replacement for the player they're selling. Not sure I trust the source at all but it makes sense.
-
Can't look past them at the moment. Only a long term Kompany or Yaya injury will stop them.I think Jose will get our boys really close, but we're just missing that one important key. A striker. I can see us having another couple of matches like our Everton one early this year where we don't have a world class, clinical finisher to bail us out RvP-style if our midfield isn't effective. City have proven this season so far that any of their 3 strikers can score loads.
-
I think that City will win the league by a comfortable 6-7 points with us in 2nd. If we think this years race for the title and top 4 is intense, I can't wait until we have a striker or two worthy of a club of our ambitions. A part of me thinks that Jose has something fucking MASSIVE planned in that department this summer. If not Rooney, and if Liverpool fail to get top 4, I really do think Jose would have the balls to spend an EPL record fee on Suarez. We'd have a first XI easily on par with Bayern/Madrid/Barca.
-
I'd rather one of our direct rivals lose than Barca. I despise Barca as much as anyone here but the only English club I want to see do well in the CL is us.
-
It'll be difficult of course. I'm actually picking them to beat Barca. They aren't exactly good defensively and I don't think they'll be able to completely contain Agüero and Negredo. Yaya back in world class form this season too.
-
City are fucking ridiculous. Legit quadruple contenders on this form.
-
Don't trust the injury news! Could be Moyes/United mind games. I'm paranoid, I know.
-
If there's even a hint that Shaw is obtainable I'd seriously hope that our board are on it. If any club makes a bid we should be in there too. If Shaw really is a big Chelsea fan, we could try to undercut a bid form City or United in the hope that Shaw would turn them down and force his way to Chelsea and Mourinho.
-
Sky have just said he's at Cobham now!
-
Maybe he's failed the medical. Tumbleweeds at the moment.
-
Still not announced, huh? Weird. Maybe the KdB deal holding it up? What could be taking so long if he's been in London for a couple days now?
-
You're right, but imagine they beat us and while morale is at a season high, the United owners give Moyes a fat wad of cash to bring in a few. Then they can have the Özil effect and lift them back into contention. Makes me sick just thinking about it. My dream scenario would be Hazard, who so many idiot United supporters were calling overrated, to score a couple and rip their defense to shreds. Maybe a John Terry header to seal a 3-0 victory and blow a few kisses to the United away fans. Only club I hate ALMOST as much as Arsenal.
-
I just hate this fucking scummy club and want desperately to smash them while they're down.We can't be the catalyst that sparks their ascent up the table. If we lose it would not only bring them to within 6 points of us but they'd be massively confident going forward. If we can win and the other top 4 sides also win I don't see any way United make top 4. We MUST win this one! I seriously will be depressed if they come to the Bridge and steal one.
-
I'm still of the mind that RvP's injury is being blown out of proportion and they're planning his return for this match. They're gonna make him out as a savior returning to rescue United when everyone thought he was going to be out longer. He and Rooney will both be back for this I think.
-
So....there's another Serbian who captains a certain Manc side who's out of a contract in the summer. We should troll the fuck out of Moyes and sign him on a free for a year. He's still a pretty class player and he'd have his mates Ivanovic and Matic.
