Pedro, Oscar, Matic, and Cesc...wow. Look like different players. Costa's best game in ages. He's actually playing as a striker! Who would've thought that works?
-
I'm as pissed at the players as anyone but I wouldn't boo them like this.
-
I'm sure Fabregas and Costa are thrilled to go out there and perform for fans that are booing them.
-
Imagine the scenes if we come out in the same lethargic, can't be bothered way and allow Sunderland to boss it. We better se the likes of Costa, Cesc, and Oscar with a point to prove and at the races today.
-
Were people honestly expecting Steve Holland to instantly chop and change the entire XI? As if. I expected maybe 2 changes, if that.
-
Did RLC secretly break his leg or something? Can't even get on the bench anymore.
-
No Hazard. This'll be a difficult one. Even more so than it already would've been.
-
If he said it we can all assume the opposite is true.
-
But if Pep goes to City and Acelotti to Bayern they'll be left with no other world class managers. They may not have much of a choice unless they stupidly give it to Giggs far before he's ready.
-
I'd love that, but it would be pretty hard to see him not only screwing Atleti by leaving himself, but also taking their two best players with him. Would be amazing to have Koké in midfield next to Matic and Griezmann in the hole as a second striker behind Costa. We'd essentially be Atletico de London with half of our XI having played under him before. --------------------Costa-------------------- Hazard---------Griezmann----------Willian --------------Koké--------Matic------------- Baba-------New CB------Zouma-------Azpi -------------------Courtois------------------- Goddamn, that's a hell of a team.
-
Or you have a load of pussies in your ranks not playing to their ability...
-
I'd happily have Simeone IF Koké is the first "must buy" he targets and brings with him. Wouldn't the language barrier be a serious issue, though? It doesn't matter too much when it comes to talking to the press as we've seen the likes of Pochettino use a translated for that stuff, but would he be able to communicate well enough players like Hazard etc?
-
Honestly, many of them are so desperate to get back the the summit that they won't care about his "style." They just want to win again and go further in the CL.Can't see him wanting to go to PSG for the very reason you said. Piss easy league and no challenges on a week to week basis. Not winning the CL is a failure of a season there because walking Ligue 1 is no problem. I think back to Madrid or United are his only two options.
-
A Chelsea legend and our all time greatest manager winning and stopping us winning with a direct rival wouldn't bother you? That's madness to me. Especially if some of the players who got him sacked fuck off and abandon us.
-
If we don't get Pep or Simeone in the summer we risk becoming Liverpool for the foreseeable future. Struggling desperately to get back into the top 4. We won't be able to attract or keep star players without a respected, top class manager and CL football.
-
I wonder how the majority of Chelsea fans would react to him not only going there but also being successful (and therefore preventing us from being successful). He can make Chelsea look terrible and stick a dagger in us that'll hurt for years if we get our next appointment wrong.
-
As expected, that statement makes it sound like he's pissed off (as he should be) and will take the United job. He'll try his damnedest to make Chelsea regret sacking him again. He'll be even more motivated and determined than he was before.
-
Yeah, but I don't think that's down to him sabotaging Mourinho. I just feel he's played so much football over the years that's he's burning out physically. He looks like an old man against any midfield with some pace and athleticism.Other clubs have figured him out. He's not going to surprise anyone anymore. They'll target him and take him out of the game.
-
Personally don't think Fabregas has been tanking it. He was slow as fuck and unathletic last season as well. Still don't think he'll suddenly turn it around in the coming weeks and become the highly motivated player he was when he first joined. If anything I think Costa is the biggest bad apple in the team. And I do think that Hazard was getting annoyed with Mourinho and his methods.
-
What if Guus thinks it over and decides not to take the interim role?
-
*sigh*Would completely kill me.
-
Please just go to Real Madrid so I can still root for and love him.
-
Sad, sad day. It's gonna be terrible seeing him on the touchline of another PL club. The blow could be softened by knowing who our permanent manager is going to be going forward.
-
Whatever ££££ we can offer City and United can match and exceed. With Pep specifically I doubt money is the key factor in where he goes next. We could offer double what the others do and I doubt he'd come here.
-
Who will be available in the summer? Brenden Rodgers is the only one I can think of that won't have a better opportunity. Chelsea would be by far and away the biggest club he can manage. Every other worthy manager will have options like Bayern/City/United to choose from and other managers that we are reportedly after like Simeone are already at top clubs and have no reason to leave.
