  1. Those bitter Scouse tears will taste so sweet if we sign him. Everton v Chelsea will be comedy in a couple of weeks if he starts that one in a Chelsea shirt.
  2. Like every Ferrari driver in London?
  3. Insane. They'll have spent £150m this window.
  4. Going to assume you're being cheeky there.
  5. Can't see a positive in him starting from our perspective.
  6. Conspiracy theory: Stones feels terrible about the transfer request and now wants to stay. Everton tell him to go down with an injury which ends Chelsea's interest and he stays. He then gets a nice pay raise, continues playing brilliantly, and the Everton fans forgive him. /trollface
  7. Isn't playing after handing in a transfer request counterproductive? It shows Everton that even though he really wants to leave he'll still play with no problem. Why wouldn't they then just refuse his request and make him stay? If he's serious about leaving he'll tell Martinez that his head isn't right and he won't play to try to force a swift sale.
  8. Do we know for sure if he's in their squad today or what?
  9. All very true.Though, I'd rather have Stones than any of their CB's and I'd certainly rather have him starting than a midfielder like Blind. He hasn't really been tested in any of their games so he looks decent so far. You're right that they need an experienced, top class CB but there really aren't any out there who are available. Ramos, Otamendi, and Hummels are all off the table. They could just say "fuck it" and bid for Stones who -like Shaw- can anchor their defense for the next 10 years.
  10. That's why I think a hijack attempt is a possibility. Save themselves from the embarrassment of being snubbed by all of their main targets.Don't think we'd have bid for him if we didn't hear from the player himself that he's desperate for a move here. He'd only take the drastic step of handing in a transfer request if he was dead set on Chelsea I'd hope.
  11. What you say makes sense, but nothing at this point would make them explode with joy after the perceived Pedro "snub" than them storming in at the 11th hour and stealing our main target. After all that big talk all summer from their idiot of a chairman about how much money they have and how they can afford any player in the world, they'd look extremely bad if they don't get anyone else. They ain't getting Bale, Neymar, or Müller. If they can get the best young English defender AND get one over on us their fans would love it. The fact that only Beasley has said it is comforting. He's wrong 90% of the time it seems like.
  12. wonder if they'll boo him. He may get boo'd by the home and away fans!
  13. For once I hope this bastard IS trolling.
  14. He seems to be pretty unreliable when it has to do with English clubs. Seems genuinely ITK with the Italian clubs, though, so I tend to believe what he's been saying about Pogba.
  15. Wonder if they're now silently negotiating with us as we speak and that's why they haven't yet come out with a statement or if they're just talking amongst themselves and deciding what to do. You'd like to think that if they were rejecting it straight away they'd have said something by now, right?
  16. Never even heard of them. Spuds one and only hope for a trophy gone in the first round!
  17. My bet is still on Real Madrid next summer. They've never given a shit about how many top midfielders they have. They'll try to sign him whether they need him or not.
  18. Always under the impression that they'd demand a world record fee. Don't think they'd sell for "only" £70m, do we?
  19. So fuck off and block me. That's what you can do. Sick of you basically quoting me constantly talking absolute shit. I'll block you too so we don't have to interact anymore. On topic, this supposed Everton "ITK" over on their main forum reckons they'll put out a statement tomorrow rejecting his transfer request and reiterating their not for sale stance. "The club cannot control a transfer request. Stones on signing his recent was asked to be kept informed if a champions league club made an enquiry - which Everton did. The valuation is 34m but..Chelsea have played this badly by going through the press which has soured and be it hardened Martinez not to sell. Despite what many say this is far from a done deal and the statement will come again that he is not for sale. Chelsea have talked themselves in having to make a significant increase in the current offer to change the managers position. This is not kenwright but a Roberto decision." Reading through that thread actually had me on the verge of signing up and telling them off but I'd get banned quickly so no point. How on earth have we "played this badly?" That's the common statement thought that thread. We're interested in a player and we put in bids. Like any club does.
  20. They've also shown that when they really want a player they'll pay absurd fees to get him. It would be a statement signing for them and "get one over" on a rival.Wouldn't put it past them at least trying by matching whatever we bid for him.
  21. Exactly what I'm concerned about and what I think will happen. Then United swoop in and pull a Pedro to get revenge and appease their fans.
  22. And isn't that cunt a City fan? The irony!
  23. Have to hope now that Everton don't phone our rivals now and say "come and bid." They may be incensed and want to sell anywhere but Chelsea.
  24. Have to contain my excitement. Everton may pull a West Brom and reject his transfer quest.
  25. Normally the media would be slaughtering us for this Cuadrado situation but even they've realized how shit he's been and have pretty much given a blanket "fair enough" on us getting rid.
