Was he wanted by Juventus when Conte was there or was it Allegri? I have a feeling we'll be seeing him waste space in our XI for yet another season. Poor passer, very limited creative vision, weak shooting, highly inconsistent technically. Has little to no impact on matches. We need an upgrade.

Not going to dig Courtois out. Unlucky with the punch but saved us numerous times to keep us in the game. Agree with criticism of Oscar once again. He's simply not good enough. Doesn't do any one thing exceptionally well. He's just decent at everything and nothing more. Shows a flash of class once every 10 matches. We got into so many fantastic positions around their box but failed over and over without having a focal point to score. If Diego played I think we'd have scored more. Surely, surely we have to be in for Imbula? That was a masterful performance from him. He utterly dominated us and is a tank! Forget Nainggolan, forget Vidal. Get this kid! Only just turned 23 as well.
-
It would probably take a crazy amount like that for them to sell after only 6 months.
-
Imbula is a beast. Not the first time he's bossed our midfield, either. Should've signed him.
-
Annoying as hell. Luckily the stream quality on the NBCSN app is outstanding.
-
Welp. Doubt we'll see very fluid football with many chances created with no Cesc.
-
What an extremely underwhelming summer that would be. Cuadrado can fuck off. And hasn't Pelle been shit for a while now this season? On some super long goal drought, isn't he? Plus he's getting old. You'd think if we were after any Italian striker it would be Icardi who we've been linked with recently before Conte was coming.

José being gone is indeed a very good thing when it comes to Musonda. The problem is (if you can really call it a problem) that the club and new manager will Ben of desperate to get back to the top that a top player may be brought in that plays the same position. I'd hate to see a Pogba situation here where everyone can see his talent but he isn't given a chance, moves clubs, and becomes a superstar. Already rumors of several of our rivals sniffing around.

Looked like CR7 with that assist!

I just wanna know what the trigger or incident was that led to him being so out of it this season. It's like a light switched between last season and this. Still remarkable that his form just completely dove off a cliff and is just now reaching about 60% of what it was last season. He's still not anywhere near his best. Did Mourinho just completely run him into the ground? Or has his head been so turned by Real Madrid that he's checked out mentally? My wish is that the club and next manager can convince him that the league is there for the taking next season and that he can play a major role in going for it.
-
Agreed. Think the title may be a step too far in our new managers first season with Pep and Mou to compete with (and their infinite budgets) but I definetly think we'll be right amongst them challenging for the league. Think we'll 100% finish above Spuds and Leicester won't get remotely close to theses heights again.
-
Imagine if we had taken that step up we all wanted and expected heading into this season. We would've pissed this league with ease with last season's Hazard, Matic, Cesc, and Costa from the start.
-
Oh fuck off you fucking lucky Manc cunts! The teams above them are so shit that United may actually squeak back up and finish in the top 4. They're bloody awful!
-
Fabregas. It's his best position.
-
On paper, Nainggolan could be our Busquets, Cesc our Rakitic, and Pjanic our Iniesta. A shield/worker and two magicians. A bit like Conte had with Vidal, Pogba, and Pirlo.
-
It could spell trouble defensively, yes, but we see with all of the great Europe that if you dominate the ball it sort of masks defensive weaknesses. Barca for instance don't play with a pure DM. Nor do Real Madrid or PSG. They have players who can put in a shift defensively when necessary but their teams keep the ball so well that opponents don't get many opportunities.
-
If we get him and a top class B2B what an insane midfield we'd have. Would also hopefully mean we would play 4-3-3 under Conte. Assuming we keep hold of Hazard: Hazard------Costa-------Willian Pjanic------Fabregas------Nainggolan A midfield that can actually dominate possession and has more than one creative outlet unlike what we have now.
-
Quite possibly the worst half of football I can remember this season in terms of effort. We literally stopped playing. Pretty alarming as well how easily a relegation favorite like Norwich can keep the ball against us and not let us have a sniff. We also made Redman look like fucking in-form Marcelo, ffs. Like the commentators kept saying over and over we just sat on the 2-0 lead and tried to coast through without exerting ourselves and it nearly bit us in the ass. It was Mourinho-esque. When teams press us and get physical our guys can't deal with it. Happy with the 3 points obviously, but can't even pick a Man of the Match tbh.
-
Please do not make any half time changes or before the 60-70th minutes! Keep pressing for another and then change things. Norwich are still threatening a bit. Oh, and Oscar was atrociously bad that half. Simple passes he fucks up. Get him outta there.
-
If we win this we may as well continue the momentum and play our strongest side against Stoke.
-
Hopefully Kenedy remains disciplined enough back there.
-
Wow, no Willian. Deserves a rest I suppose. No Naismith for them at least.
-
This. At this point I just want us to keep winning in hopes that we possibly finish above clubs like Liverpool and Everton. Maybe even United if they collapse even more. I mean, how hilarious would it be if even in our worst ever PL season we still finish above Liverpool?
-
Ah, fuck. I forgot about that as well. Nailed on for either him or their keeper to have the game of their lives against Chelsea. Or both. Then they'll proceed to lose their next match 5-0 or something.
