  1. Have a bad feeling they'll slip up in a couple of matches they should win easily and Spuds will capitalize and win it.
  2. I feel like they've been reporting that the announcement is imminent for a month. Everyday I see "could be announced today" or "within the next two days." I'd still be surprised if we announce it before the end of the season. Pleasantly surprised.
  3. Isn't the whole reason Cavani is unhappy that he wants to play in his best position up top and not moved around all the time?
  4. They're both better playing as the focal point of a team I think as pure #9's.
  5. Like I said yesterday, I wouldn't be shocked at all if United or PSG who are losing Zlatan forked over a huge sum to sign him this summer. He's clearly good enough for that level of club now. Bangs them in with service from average players at West Brom and Everton. He'd be deadly with top players around him. Imagine the headaches Lukaku and Martial together would give opponents. Or Lukaku flanked by Di Maria and Lucas. He has huge ambition and big mouth when it comes to the media so it's only a matter of time before he's out of Everton. First big club to throw in a massive bid and he'll ask away.
  6. Knowing the FA, they'll still ban him for 10 games for "looking threatening."
  7. Just think about the signings we've made in the last year. You literally couldn't make up a more hilariously atrocious set of transfers. It's honestly as if someone drew random names out of a hat. Someone got fucking paid to sign these players. My word. We signed a striker in Falcao on loan who came off of an embarrassing season and has been broken beyond repair for ages now. We signed a defender from a shit Ligue 1 side that the manager at the time had never heard of or seen play and loaned him out without ever playing a single minute in our team. We signed a 20 year old kid from NY Redbulls that no one had ever heard of who will likely never play a minute in our first team. If all that wasn't enough, we sign a player in January who's literally not even close to match fit and still hasn't made even a sub appearance appearence and we're approaching the end of March. It's like someone flicked a switch in the brains of our board members. All the work we al praised them for in the past few seasons was just flushed down the toilet. Even the deals we all thought were fantastic look shit now. We thought we were pulling one over on Everton by selling them Lukaku. He's becoming a beast now. We thought the money we got for De Bruyne was great and that Oscar was better so we wouldn't miss him. We sold the "clown" David Luiz to PSG and are now desperate for a CB that is proactive, comfortable on the ball, and mobile. Depressing as fuck. Now we have to blow the thing up and start all over.
  8. The one thing I don't like about him is his demeanor. Like Hazard, he seems so timid and meek. It's like he doesn't understand the talent he has that everyone else can see.
  9. Only reason we have a slim chance of a point here is because we're at home and will want to make up for that shit on a stick week we just had. If this were at their place we'd lose this 3-0 or something.
  10. Meh. He'll say "I always liked him and wanted to give him a chance but the money was too good to turn down for someone who didn't start every game." He'd say something like "he's developed well since leaving" and say he's ready to be the #1 now. I can definitely see it happening.
  11. Will be even more salt in the wound when he turns up at City or United. Nailed on to happen. Way too good to be at Everton long. Like KdB he will likely haunt us for years at a rival.
  12. Papy, Falcao, Pato, Miazga, awawrding our worst defender a new contract and telling our biggest ever legend to fuck off. And this is the lot we need to trust to rebuild our great club. Unless Roman digs deep into his pockets and allows Conte to do as he likes we're going to see many of these same bums starting for us week in and week out next season stealing a living. Except next season it may be without our two best attacking players in Hazard and Costa. And against Pep/Mou/Klopp/Poch/Wenger.
  13. If he's truly unsettled here like we keep hearing maybe after this latest incident the club won't stand in his way if a big bid comes in. The club will be desperate to rid ourselves of the image we have and Diego personifies it. I love his game but hate worrying about him each and every time he takes the pitch.
  14. Cahill, Pedro, Ivanovic, Oscar, and Matic should not be anything more than squad players next season if not a couple of them sold. Give Conte total authority to sign who he likes.
  15. Without Costa for a while I doubt we'd be able to score any goals even if we played a full strength team. May as well do as you say and play the likes of Traore, RLC, Kenedy IN HIS REAL POSITION, and Baba.
  16. How can Emenalo possibly remain in a job after this season? How? Disgrace.
  17. Glad I couldn't watch this one. I may have broken something. What a monumental job this summer will be.
  18. Indeed. They showed almost all of our FA Cup matches on FS1 last season so I was able to watch. This season they're all on FS2 with fucking redneck, hillbilly NASCAR on FS1 instead. Fuck off!
  19. I'm on an iPad so I can't watch flash streams.
  20. Another dodgy, blurry, Russian stream on YouTube for me again.
  21. The Saints utterly destroying Stoke who we struggled with last week.
  22. Not sure why all of these papers keep linking us with Cavani. Unless they're just assuming Costa leaving is 100% nailed on which is stupid. If they're thinking that Cavani would come here with Costa staying that's stupid as well since that's why he's unhappy in Paris playing second fiddle to Ibra. With Zlatan leaving surely Cavani would stay there.
  23. The club seem to be doing their homework and are serious about setting up like a proper, long-term thinking team with a set style and identity. Let's just hope that this summer is fewer Miazga's, Papy's, Falcao's, and Pato's, and more Costa's, Fabregas's, and Hazard's. Otherwise we'll be looking for a new manager again a year from now.
  24. That mentality is basically why we've regressed so much. Persisting with players who aren't up to scratch. Oscar has played under how many managers now and still hasn't really progressed? Of course we don't need a huge overhaul of 7-8 first XI players, but we certainly need 3-4. If Conte is told he must start next season with the same midfield and same defense as this season then he's doomed from the beggining. Same thing that happened to José. "These players won the league last season so we don't need any big signings." Let the manager decide whether the players are good enough, don't tell him.
