Wouldn't sell him for £200m. He's pretty much totally unique in world football. No one else is as good as he is at what he does.
-
Super fucking annoying how the bastard running our official Twitter account is constantly tweeting about our players at the World Cup and trying to be funny by tweeting jokes while millions of fans are desperate for news about signings and the managerial situation. It honestly feels like they're trolling all of us.
-
Like his opposite number today who we've been heavily linked with. I mean, if Tibo were to sign a new 5 year contract so we don't have to ever hear about him leaving for the foreseeable future I'd be fine with it, but every other week all season and all summer long a new quote comes out about how he wants to go back to Spain. I'm sick of it. If we can replace him with Alisson I'd do it in a split second. We wouldn't be losing much if anything as a shot stopper and we'd be gaining a modern goalie who keeps City's excellent Ederson out of the Brazil side.
-
By getting one who's just as good with his hands but significantly better at distribution and playing from the back?
-
That's the sort of performance that may push Real Madrid over the edge and go hard after him. Especially if CR7 leaves. The whole world watching, against the most famous team in history, and he was dominant. We simply could not replace him. I pray the club are offering him the moon.

Another day slipping away with no news... Resigning myself to seeing Conte back on the touchline and for us to make only 1 or 2 inexpensive signings.
-
I just don't know. If worst comes to worst and Sarri doesn't happen, maybe we just have to hope that not only Conte, but the board as well learned a harsh lesson and things could get better. He tweaks our style a bit and will now know the league like the back of his hand. That to me would be better than bringing in a last minute panic manager after our top choice falls through. Gives me a headache just thinking about it, tbh. What a fucking mess.
-
Hasn't Zola failed pretty miserably as a manager at pretty much every stop? He'd be a disaster here, too. If Sarri falls through Conte has to stay.
-
What top players are going to want to sign for essentially a lame duck manager everyone knows the club wanted rid of? Why the hell would our players who have criticized how we played last season want more of the same? There would be a cloud hanging over us from minute 1 and every press conference will be questions about his future and relationship with the club. One poor run of results and Conte will be risking the sack. The only way I can see Conte staying and being successful is if we lock Hazard down for another contract and we go al out in the window and bring in 4-5 top players. The fans can then rally around him and back him like we always have done. But that feels impossible now. He must go or this season is doomed from the start.
-
Might be a different story behind the scenes, but from the outside where we stand Chelsea are the worst run club in the PL and have been now for a few years. Thank fuck we've had some excellent coaching jobs to mask the incompetence from above. If we don't have a manager in place soon...we are in for another disastrous season. But unlike last season it won't be us finishing 5th but rather midtable.
-
Morata and Giroud will be our two strikers again this season. We should get used to this fact. Was always a long shot to think the club were going to sell off a £58m signing after one season. Just have to hope Morata improves drastically under a different manager in a new system.
-
Hot bullshit more like.
-
Nothing surprises me with this club anymore.
-
It's like we're still operating in a world where the transfer window is still open for weeks after the season starts and we therefore have a long while left to sort things.
-
Would surely spell the end for RLC's chances of ever becoming a proper Chelsea player if we signed both Golovin and Kovacic. Both would be long term signings who are in their early 20's. There would be no path back in for Ruben. Tbh, if you offered me the chance to sign both Golovin and Kovacic but it meant Ruben was sold to a club outside of the top 6 I'd do it. A midfield 3 of Kante, Golovin, and Kovacic would be amazing and allow us to play fantastic football. Cesc, Barkley, and Baka for rotation. Think we'd have the best midfield options in the league.
-
I know I've already said this but it needs to be brought up again as a reminder of how ridiculous our situation is. Arsenal, the most notoriously stubborn, patient, slow acting and slow reacting club out there have signed their new manager (after an extensive search) they've signed their new starting keeper, their new starting CB, solid fullback cover, and are on the verge of signing two more CM's. All of that before we've even done ANYTHING! That's just madness.
-
No WC matches tomorrow, right? Maybe the club will announce something for maximum exposure and headlines. Ah, who am I kidding. Marina G will probably be leading our returning players out for training at the start of preseason at this point.
-
Don't know which I'd be more excited about, seeing the back of Courtois or seeing Alisson as his replacement.
-
Too fucking bad Mahrez is about to (idiotically) join City. Would've been the ideal Willian upgrade who could've taken our attack up a level. Here he could've been a nailed on starter playing every match and being an important piece. Instead he goes to sit on City's bench more often than not since they have Sterling and Sané who are far too good to lose their spots. Since he's off the table it'd be amazing to see us target Bailey or Martial. Or why not Marco Reus?
-
Isn't he the "hot days" guy who's said Sarri is on the verge of being announced any moment for like 3 weeks?
-
Has Conte gone into hiding in a remote corner of the world or something? How have we not heard anything from him? You'd think a journalist or TV station or newspaper would have tracked him down wherever he is and asked him questions. Even if it's just catching him at the supermarket, lol. It's like he fell off the face of the Earth after the season ended.
-
And you know with England playing tomorrow the club won't want to announce anything to take the attention away.
-
How about we send a Russian assasin instead... Seriously, though. Why does De Laurentiis need to be such a colossal asshole? You have a new manager in place, FFS! I could understand if they were utterly desperate to keep him and he had 4 years left on his contract or something. But they already have a bloody replacement manager and a great one at that.
-
I mean, that our owner is mates with CSKA's should certainly help things, but they can't force him to come here if he doesn't want to.
-
What's most exciting about him is how much better he should look in an attacking team who want to take the game to their opponents. Russia basically set up like a Mourinho/Pulis coached side. Defend for your life and knock it long to the big #9. Golovin has performed very well in a team that doesn't even play to his strengths. Alongside two top midfielders and in a Sarri coached side I think he can be awesome. Just trying not to get too excited because I'm still worried Juve/United/Bayern or someone comes in for him and offers much more £££ + CL football.
