  1. Gonna call mine Ronaldinho because it can lob Seamen from 40 yards. 2002 World Cup joke for those who don't get it
  2. He's young. Therefore he can't be trusted because if we play him in the mickey mouse cup we will automatically concede 5 and he'll make several obvious mistakes. Even if he was the best centre back in the dutch league last season, it would be stupid to show any trust in him
  3. Curbishley if he is ever going to return. Apart from that it's the two you mentioned unless Zola leaves Watford as has been rumoured. They need a Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor or Alan Shearer and Ian Dowie or a lone Steve Kean if they are to save their season...
  4. Can't believe that. Always thought West Brom were a club with a bit of sense who would give people time. Feel sorry for him really, he deserved much, much better.
  5. I actually thought Hazard was shit today. Lazy, didn't beat his man often enough, some shoddy passing. At the risk of a bollocking, I don't think he has done enough to justify his price tag yet or shown enough to demonstrate that he will be the best player in the world one day. Solid but average performance. Happy with the win but defensively we're a shambles and attacking we are incredibly predictable at the moment.
  6. That documentary was the absolute nuts. What a guy he is. Greatest Chelsea striker ever in my opinion.
  7. Could we use him as part of a swap deal for Shaw? Tbh I think he is good enough to stay, he hasn't looked out of place in the games he has played and this could be Cole's last season. I really doubt Cole would take a pay cut because we wont give a 34 year old £80 000 per week. I doubt Azpilicueta would be happy to play as a left back on a permanent basis either. Although I rate Shaw I wouldn't put him straight into the first 11 as first choice left back, but rotate him with Bertrand. Would be a real shame if we let him go. He hasn't often got a solid run of games in his natural position.
  8. It opened in 1840, so well before Stamford Bridge was built (The area was previously home to a large estate and its grounds) and is now a royal park. It was built as one of 7 large cemeteries on the outskirts of central London as the population of the city rapidly expanded. There aren't many burials there these days but quite a few famous people including Gus Mears, the founder of Chelsea FC are buried there. It does have a very interesting atmosphere I must admit and there is something quite nice about walking through there on a winter's day. It's very strange and historic and is one of the unique sites around Stamford Bridge. Not many supporters really associate it with the club, even though the founder is buried there and the stadium is clearly visible from it. Some people find it ironic that the east stand almost backs onto it and that the east stand almost brought the club to death in the 70's. I've got some more pictures around the cemetery, I'll upload them in the next few days.
  9. Yeah Brompton cemetery is behind the east stand
  10. AND IT'S NECESSARY TO DRAW YOUR ATTENTION TO THE FACT WE DON'T GIVE A FUCK WHAT YOU SAY CHELSEA, WE'RE STANDING ANYWAY edit: this was the lovely, respectful email sent to fans with tickets in the MHL for this Saturday
  11. "I think Chelsea are in trouble" Phil big nose Thompson, the resident div at sky sports. Doesn't realize we are still joint second with his beloved Liverpool
  12. FA cup 3rd round draw tomorrow Would absolutely wet myself laughing if we got Kidderminster. Reality will probably be same old boring home game against Derby or Ipswich
  13. Not a knee jerk reaction because it's happened all season but can we drop Cech for a few games. It's not like Mark Schwarzer is a totally incompetent goalkeeper like Turnbull was
  14. Stoke is an absolute shithole, I can confirm
  15. Amazing photos Bir! i especially liked the first one like yuvala, really nice colours and blending between the sky and water
  16. I heard it was a bruised kneecap for Basle and he'd be 2 weeks so I assume its that
  17. Yeah I forgot my tripod that day haha. It was a cold night as well so was difficult to keep my hands still holding the camera! Its really blurred if it is bigger but its a good spot again edit: I use a Canon EOS 1100D
  18. Thanks I love the HDR effect on your photos and that photo is a really great spot for photos in London. Hardly any people are there often but you can get amazing photos of Tower Bridge from there at all times of day. You have some great ones on your 500px profile too, especially the ones of Trafalgar Square and Big Ben at twilight
  19. Seeing as Yuvala has produced some amazing photos on his trip to London and a few other members on here seem to be a bit into photography I thought we could make a thread showing our best ones These are some of mine taken in central London (I don't have Photoshop at the moment and lost my camera card last week so some are gone )
  20. Big fat shout out to all the chaps making the midweek trip up to the cold north tonight UTC
  21. Doing really, really well apparently. Has been one of the standout players in the league, scoring and creating lots of chances and improving every game. His strength is improving too.
  22. Have been speaking to a Vitesse fan who said he sometimes doesn't even make it onto the subs bench, really cant see us keeping him beyond the end of the season.
  23. if there is one thing I hate its Sunday 4PM kick offs. If there is one thing I hate even more it is Sunday 4:10PM kick offs.
