Completely agree with everything you've said.
It's very raw at the moment and I think given time people will look back at Lampard's time here in a more positive way with regards to last seasons achievement of getting top 4 and the longer term rebuilding job he's done of the squad through the academy and transfer market.
I'd love nothing more to see my club be successful under one of its biggest legends and personally one of my all time favourites. But realistically the head has to overule the heart and this season so far has been unacceptable.
I felt there was some progress earlier in the season with regards to significant improvements to our set pieces at both ends of the pitch and our defensive shape that would help set us up for a successful season. But our attacking play has got progressively worse which has really come to a head since the Leeds game. At the time when we went behind early against Leeds I had nothing but confidence we'd still win the game but just a month later I wonder where the goals will come from and like you said, I'm not very confident about the Fulham game. Unfortunately as our attacking play has spluttered along, old problems have arisen at the back too such as defensive mistakes and being caught naively on counter attacks.
As a couple of people have mentioned, there have been a couple of times in recent weeks where we've had free weeks finally in between games but if anything we've been worse after which would suggest problems in the coaching department.
I think ultimately the club trying to ride through this now becomes nothing more than a stay of execution and a change in the manager and coaching setup is needed for the long term outlook of the club.
Whilst most have been completely reasonable with criticism levelled at Lampard's management and separated that from his legendary status as a player, a couple of people on this forum are nothing short of a disgrace with some of the rubbish they spew which is usually reserved by plastic fans on twitter. If the inevitable happens, hopefully it can be done in the most respectful of ways. The club will get a media shitstorm for it, but we've rode out far worse in the past.

    Embarrassing. Seriously embarrassing.
Criticism of aspects of Lampard's management at present is all fine and well but it shouldn't be forgotten right now that he is one of the greatest players the club has ever had and anything during this period should never tarnish or warrant disrespect for that.
A player that spent 13 years at the club, was a major component in winning a bucket load of trophies and broke all sorts of club and premier league records here. Wasn't given a new contract by Chelsea but is a Man City mercenary?!
It's everything that's wrong with the current football fan, and infuriates me because it really makes our club look like a joke when comments like this are chucked around.

We better beat West Ham because you know how the next match goes.
Arse will be on the brink of sacking Arteta, in relegation form, their fans calling in meltdown, losing game after game in humiliating fashion, missing key players. You all know what that means whenever Chelsea plays a team like that. 😂

Anyone else struggling to motivate themselves for this one? As much as we banter Moyes for his United failure his WHU side are starting to resemble his best Everton teams and they were cunts to play against.
Even on form i'd be wary of this one, on recent form it's got a frustrating night written all over it!

Things looking terrible in time for this match.
Modern football teams performances swing wildly with confidence levels.
Liverpool winning against nearest challengers Spurs (in a game they could have easily lost or drawn), and not to mention the timely arrival of the Fifa awards (for Klopp etc), seems to have buoyed their confidence, and it showed in their result against Palace.
Conversely, I've seen recent Chelsea teams of the past 3-4 seasons tending to 'give up' after a certain point in the season most notably when the team thinks that the title challenge is no longer realistic.
This is followed by a slump, and before you know it, there's a chasm in terms of points between the first placed team and Chelsea.
This month has been a SHITTY month of football.
In a regular season, November tends to be our bogey month, but given the delayed start to the season, December sounds about right.

Wolves was a must win, we blew it like amateurs, now this is def a must win or down we will go. Losing 3 on the bounce is not acceptable in any shape or form if we wanna go places.

It's just a sign of how crazy this season has been. Last season, we lost back-to-back games twice and still stayed in 4th while now, we lose back-to-back games and we're suddenly close to being mid-table.

Waking up this morning actually more annoyed than I went to fucking bed.
That was a shit show yesterday, but to be honest it's been coming. We do not take games to teams from the off and more often than not allow teams to dictate and get at us. Yesterday was written in the stars, crowd allowed back in, claiming for every fucking possible, our slow and lethargic play and most of all fucking lazy minded players wanting everything on plate rather than work their fucking guts out.
I'm fuming with a lot of those players yesterday but mostly Havertz, once again another display of complete laziness and lack of awareness around him. Giving the ball away time after time and bringing nothing what so ever to the party. Fuck that shit of him playing out wide, that doesn't excuse lazy passes, bad pass choices and all round bad play. This fucker needs to wake the fuck up and start tuning in.

Just watching the sky sports videos of the greatest goals in this fixture and still to this day I'm at a loss at how we allowed Jermaine Beckford off all people to score a solo goal running from one end of the pitch to another performing FIFA street esque skill moves in the process.
    Just, like, how?

Who is gonna play on place of James? The tiny Brazilian I suppose
Tbf James has not really been in super great form most recently. Richarlison is more dangerous rn and he has good chemistry with DCL. I expect them to sit deep. We really should win thsibif we get our act together. Tough test tho
games like these vs the Upper mid-Tier Clubs away at Everton, wolves, arsenal are the ones that will decide if we can Mount a challenge.

Oh, shit. Everton were already in a rough patch of form with James in their side. Without him they aren't nearly as dangerous.
That's their best attacking player out and both starting fullbacks. Their CB's are shit and their keeper is shit. Absolutely zero excuses for us. All 3 points or this is another horrendous night at Goodison.
This is a weekend where multiple direct rivals will be dropping points. Must capitalize!

Two of Leeds' most recent defeats were 4-1 losses, against Leicester and Palace, and they both played with pacey, mobile attacking players upfront to take advantage of Leeds' open attacking style. #justsayin

Have we all given up on Werner as a striker? I mean, I get that we have great crossers in team so having Abraham/Giroud maybe makes sense, but come on... Havertz and Pulisic are fit, let's try them with Timo upfront.

We have beaten a lot of the lesser teams recently, which is good, but here's the real test. Next 6 Premier League games before 2021...
    Leeds (h)
    Everton (a)
    Wolves (a)
    West Ham (h)
    Arsenal (a)
    Aston Villa (h)

I'm more worried of Pulisic's glass made body than Werner's finishing. This guy is a proper striker with a proper mentality, will miss some, will score lots, he is not Martial who United fans rate him as one of world's finest when the truth is he is in his what? Fifth, sixth season in England and has done fuck all to prove he is even on par with Jamie Vardy, nevermind Europe's best strikers.
Pulisic though... this is one situation the club and the player himself must sort out in the coming months

The thing with Abraham and Giroud is that they each have something that the other person lacks. For instance, Abraham's hold-up play isn't quite as good as Giroud (yet, maybe) but Giroud doesn't have Abraham's pace and mobility.
Based on how Lampard wants us to play, having pace, mobility, agility etc is important and given he is also trying to build a team for the future, it's also clear why Abraham is preferred over Giroud. Giroud was never going to be part of our long term plan, especially where being first choice is concerned.
