Nani, Young and Valencia are just as inconsistent and frustrating as some of ours. I watch United sometimes at some of the stuff those 3 do and i think to myself if they were Chelsea players ill be screaming at the tele. Mata and Danny without doubt are streets ahead in terms of consistency. Your right about things going downhill since last season, personally i think the double brought the "oldies" more time and the back to back 6-0's at the start of the season convinced all of us there was no need to spend. Personally for next season's team i think we need to establish which players from the current side are cut out to play for a top side and build around that, so for me its. ---------------Cech--------------- Ivan------JT------Luiz------Ryan ---------------Oriol---------------- ---------Ramires---?????------- Danny------------------------Mata ---------------?????-------------- I think we need to slowly bleed Terry out and Josh in, we need to sign 2 wingers (Hazard and Gotze will have me dribbling). Basically we need to return to the old blue print, young, hungry players determined to suceed.
-
Ivan will take care of Bale, Romeu likewise with VDV while Mata and Danny will murder their fullbacks. The only worry is Modric. No way will Spurs win 3-0.
-
He's hardly in love with Malouda, he (Florent) has only started 4 league games all season.
-
Don't think Drogba was great V City bar the timewasting at the end which was genius, but the only problem is Drogba is nearly 34 played twice in the last week and didn't he play a charity match or something inbetween not sure? Plus Drogba might start thinking he has got a sorted place if he gets picked after the shocker he had today.

-------------------Cech------------------ Ivanovic-----Luiz------Terry-----Cole ------------------Romeu---------------- ----------Meireles-----Ramires-------- Sturridge---------------------------Mata ------------------Torres------------------ This lineup we win, any other we lose it really is that simple right now.
-
Last season Malouda was starting every time, atleast we don't have to put up with that no more.
-
The fact we look better at the back whenever David Luiz plays is looking less and less of a the "inconvient coinsidence" media, opposition fans and even some of us want it to look with every passing game.
-
I was on another forum at the time but after Josh nearly lost us the game at Villa Park last season he was getting stick Kalou would have been proud off.
-
It was all David Luiz's fault he is too wreckless, oh wait......
-
This is the first should win game we have lost by being sloppy. It's hardly like were Liverpool and making a habit out of it, yet.
-
Its lose lose, had we brought him on and he contibuted to us dropping points we would have blasted AVB for "throwing him the deep end". Before we go over-reacting and writing this lad off, lets remember Sturridge could not even get on the bench off a mid table pre Sheikh City side at 18 and Josh is getting on the bench for one the best sides in the country. So he is in a better position than Danny at the same age. Infact he is the same position as Danny was last season and Danny was 21.
-
Bound to come against us. The 15,000 goal did (Maurice Voltz for Fulham at The Bridge)
-
Ill start worrying when we start conceding numerous goals in games he plays in.
-
Only Liverpool and Manchester United have scored more than once against us in a one off game where Luiz has played (Levekusen aswell but Luiz went off before they scored their goals). He can't be that bad looking at things like that. He might have been a bit reckless at times but he isn't the only defender to be so and he hasn't done it nearly as much as some think, i think some here have been far too brainwashed by the media when it comes to Luiz if im being brutally honest.
-
i want to see this lineup ------------------------Cech--------------- Bosingwa----Ferreira----Terry---Cole ----------------------Mikel----------------- ---------------Lampard------Ramires--- Kalou-------------Anelka---------Malouda :
-
Would u accept an offer of a Kalou and Cavani straight swap?

I don;t think any one compared Lukaku to Neymar or said he was better (i hope not anyway). In terms of pure talent there is only one winner. One thing Lukaku does have over Neymar is attitude. Lukaku is determined to be a success and football as BL said is 10% talent and 90% attitude. Only worry with Neymar is will he have the hunger to come to us and succed, im not too sure. If he joins us and proves me wrong i will be delighted however because on pure potential alone (Neymar) could become one of the best if not the best in the world.
-
Part of me wants to see us rotate but if we rotate and it goes wrong who's arse will be on the chopping line?
-
Hamsik, Lavceskiwhatitsface and cavanani are the main threats, with any luck one of them will leve them in January.
-
Apparently Ryan has convinced AVB that he is the long term succesor to Ash. The sources so far aint reliable but great news if true.
-
Thinking back to my comment a few days ago i think i was too hasty to say we should cash in this January. He has to stop this trend of one step forward two back all the time. Signs for Chelsea (step forward), horrific debut (two back). Decent ish performances in March (step forward), stinker in the CL at Old Trafford (two back). Finally scoring against West Ham (step forward), his IMO 3 biggest stinkers in a Chelsea shirt against Spurs, Newcastle and Everton (two back). Decent display against Stoke (step forward), horrendus displays against Norwich and Sunderland (two back). Goal at Old toliet (step forward), open goal miss (two back). Goal against Swansea (step forward), red card (two back). Double against Genk (step forward), stinker against Le Arse (two back). With Villa injured and Drogba off to the ACON shortly this 2012 (the first half) will be a vital year for Torres.

1. He does not let the media talk shit No offense to Carlo, but last season the media were spouting bolax last season and Carlo was just letting them do it, now AVB is in and telling them in no uncertain terms what he thinks of the bolax they spout and to be quite frank im loving it. 2. He drops players who don't perform Last season we were screaming for this. Lampard, Malouda, Anelka, Torres, Drogba and Mikel amougst others basically had their place in the team by default last season and in turn their performance rate's dipped. This season as we have seen any drop in performance and they are on the bench and in turn when they do get back in the team in general put in better displays (especially Lamps). 3. He has brought back Roberto Di Matteo Enough said. 4. He has sorted out major problems To put it quite blunt last season was dire to watch, no creativity, no pace and players who looked to put it nicely over the hill, the lack of pace, creativity and width in the team was becoming so evident it was starting to hurt. AVB's decision to sign Romeu, Meireles, Mata and decididing to give Sturridge a more prominent role has not completely got rid of the problem but we are looking 100 times better in those departments than last season. 5. He is slowly performing the over-haul we have needed for years Last season more than ever the need for a overhaul was apparent and at times it looked like it was never going to come but the youthfull signing's made in the summer is to be surely joined by more of the same come January aswell as the frustrating/ageing players on the way out. Lets be honest not so long ago we would have bit some one's hand off for this. 6. We haven't been totally outplayed this season Taking the Liverpool carling cup match aside, no team has walked all over us like many times last season and in the Scolari era. All the games we lost bar the CC game we lost on fine margains and on any other given day the luck would have gone in our favour. 7. Un-deniable passion The passion he show's on the touchline is really refreshing, it's clear he takes loses personally and is like a fan when we scores. 8. He has broke 2 hoo doo's that were getting annoying The penalty shootout hoo doo that was becoming beyond and a joke and the Everton hoodoo not once but twice. 9. He is a very talented manager Don't be fooled by people dismissing his achievements at Porto as it being "only the Portuguese league". What they fail to mention in the same time is that Porto were in a mess when he took over, just finished outside the CL places and deviod of confidence. AVB not only brought back the confidence and won the treble, he also did it by playing superb attacking football, breaking numerous record's not even Jose and Sir Bobby could touch and making Porto nearly invincible that season, what's to say given time he could not do a smiliar season with us? Also lets not forget also he took over Academica mid season when they were bottom and winless and guided them to mid table safety. 10. Signing's Leave the best till last. The signing's he has made have been quite frankly brilliant. Thiabut Courtious. Excelling at Leti and making MOTM performances time after time, we do look like we finally have some one who can challenge Cech and eventully suceed him. Oriol Romeu What's to say that hasn't already been said? Class holding midfielder and the closest we are ever likely to see to Claude Makelele again. Romelu Lukaku Not the best start but he was not wanted by the likes of Real Madrid and Arsenal for nothing, be patient with this boy. Juan Mata No words can describe just how good a signing he is, best since Cech and £23m in this market is an absolute bargain. Raul Meireles Like ive said in this market £12m for a player of his calibre is an absolute steal and has always been impressive when played. Ok he is no Modric but he is good enough for us, why Kenny thought Henderson and Adam were better ill never know. There has been a few hitches here and there but all in all im delighted with the work AVB has already done for this club, he has single handedly made the future look 20 times brighter than before.

Unfortunently in any walk of life heart rules heads. If he establishes himself here and makes himself a regular all logic will say he should decline Barca but will his heart let him that's the problem? Its the same in every walk of life, like when their's a lad/girl who worshipes you and will do anything for you but your heart leads you to a troublemaking player/bitch. Strange example i used their but if Barca come back in for him i am worried that his emotinal attachment there would be too much for him to turn down.

Sturridge still doesn't get the credit he deserves from the outside. Even more so when you think that the media waxed lyricals over United's new "golden english generation" in August.
-
Carvalho was hardly invincible either, the amount of free kicks just outside the 18 yard box he gave away as infuritating.
