Our chances this season. Premierleague? i laud it over when in right so ill happily take the egg on my face now im wrong. I thought we had a chance this season at the start, now i realise i got it horribly wrong, we need to get 3rd place tho if we get 4th and Arsenal finish below us preforming a Liverpool 05 style fluke show :doh: FA Cup? Hope fo a kind run to atleast the semi;s then who knows? its a knockout competition so any one stands a chance. Champions League? Difficult, very difficult but as scum showed in 2005 you only have to be in it to stand a chance, litrally.

FFS why are we writing this lad off after 6 fucking games (3 of which against Liverpool, Arsenal and United) at 18 years old? Sturridge was just like this for City at 18, never really made that many appearances and never really convinced when he did and now look at him. You don't get targeted by numerous top clubs if you are a rubbish player and he has shown some glimpses of his talent (at Goodison Park he was absolutely fantastic). If he is still in this situation in 4 years then panic but come on lets not press the "£18m wasted" button just yet.

Did we have to ban that Scouser? We should have kept him/her on and let him make a fool of themself like most of them do, i know i shouldon't really sink to their level but i just can't help it.

Lets compare now to this time last year. We wanted younger players, we have now got it. We wanted creativity, we now have Mata and Meireles. We wanted Sturridge to get a proper chance, he is now a key player. We wanted Kalou to have less game time, that has now happened. We wanted the underperforming "superstarts" to be dropped, now after a bad display they do get dropped more often than not. We wanted Lampard to get rotated and kept more fresh, that is now happening. Bit of prespective, our big game record this season is awfull but ever since 2008 bar the double winning season it's hardly been great either lets be honest.

Yes lets sack him, sack him and let the underperforming players get yet another chance and a new contract while the new manager "asseses" them. Infact lets bring back Scolari

Alex is too reckless, he has already given 2 penalty's this season, far too clumsy and should play defensive midfield.

It's not about age or anything like that, whenever i see the reserves play and often McEachran runs the show until about the hour mark then disapears into thin air and playing for the first team is much harder and much more demanding even more so if you're team get reduced to 10 men which is why he was probally the "fall guy" when the subs were needed to be made. Van Der Vart often gets subbed around the hour mark for Tottenham for the same reason and when he doesn't how many times has he impacted a game late on?

He doesn't have the stamina to play 90 and especially 120 minutes just yet, if we kept him on by about the 75th-80th minute we would have effectively been down to 9.

^ he came on against Swansea in the same situation. Remember his circumstances are similar to Sturridge's last season and Danny was 21, Josh is only 18. If Josh plays a game soon and makes a mistake which loses us it, we would all be slating AVB for chucking him in at the deep end.

I think JOsh has been unlucky this season, lets remember he is only 18, Sturridge could not get a game for City (before the Sheiks took over) when he was 18 now look at him. It's not like he has been completely frozen out, he has been on the bench a fair few times this season (more than a lot of 18 year olds) it just happened that whenever Josh is on the bench the score's close. If he was on the bench today he would no doubt have came on.

So yet another convincing defensive display with Luiz playing If he is a liabilty i can't wait until he "learns to defend", no one will score past us.

Don't see why there are too many complaints tbh. Yes it would have been nice to see Bertrand get a game but lets be honest that line up could have been A LOT worse.

The point is if Cleverly was/is so amazing compared to McEachran then where was he when he was 18?

Joker10 My suggestion to bench him for Wolves is more to keep him fresh as much as anything else. He is 33 he can't play 3 full games in 7 days anymore.

Will be a test for him against Liverpool in the CC, first time he has faced one of the "top teams" i think.

He needs to be benched again along with Terry, both need to know that their places are far from safe, otherwise we will carry on seeing the drivel we have saw from them in the last week.

Why don't we sack some of the players? Im being serious, the likes of Malouda are the problem here not the manager, what will happen if we sack AVB? Malouda and co will get yet another chance. If we sack managers and pay their compensation if they are not performing why not do it with the players and all, Malouda and Anelka will command fuck all of a transfer fee anyway so threaten them with the sack, we need to start chucking the well fed players away and not the manager.
