  1. I don't get the embarrassment thing either. For one Matic, there will be a group like Sinclair, Borini, Stoch, Tore and Mancienne, who's career's haven't amounted to much.
  2. There is financial benefit's, but United are such a big club (some would say stubborn), that they won't want the physiological shift it will bring. The Torres transfer (despite being a disaster) signaled something similar. I have just have a feeling United will take the Dortmund approach to this, to the point they will offer him abroad for a bargain price.
  3. That may be a point if it started with Eto'o but it's been going on since he came here, Torres gets praised for thing's Sturridge and even Drogba got slaughtered for. You mention the Eto'o-Lukaku thing (which is a fair point) but we practically lost Sturridge due to a last ditch attempt to save face with the Torres deal. Torres may put in good shifts at times but he also has his lazy days, and when he does he's at Berbatov level. Eto'o has also put in shifts aswell (to the point he has been harassing and pressing goalkeepers) and has also scored vital goals (Cardiff to make it 2-1, Liverpool). But at the end of the day, neither are good enough and Eto'o will be gone in the summer, hopefully he can take Torres to MLS with him.
  4. My favorite part of the match was some point in the second half Willian was one on one with Eustace, and he just took the ball around him like he was a pillar in a shopping centre.
  5. United will not sell to us, at best we will get him on a bosman in 2015. Them selling their star player will send out a significant statement of inferiority on their behalf, and they just won't let it happen.
  6. Im dreading the West Brom away game, the ref will have a 2 wrong's make a right mentality for sure, we will get denied a stonewaller or have a soft one given against us, possibly both.
  7. There could still be a chance he will back a our #6 next season with KDB likely left. Aslong as it ain't Marin im not too bothered who it is.
  8. That is what he said in public, he is probably telling the team we are winning it at Anfield.
  9. -------------------Cech---------------------- Azpi----Cahill/Luiz------JT----------Cole ----------Mikel------------Rami------------ Willian-----------Oscar-------------Hazard -------------------Eto'o----------------------- Hull are a percentage team, which is why Eto'o is the better option to start as his turnover count is pretty low compared to our other two forwards, then if they game get's stretched late on, we can make the late change with Torres. Rest of the team pick's itself apart from Cahill or Luiz. Just need a win, last minute winner of Azpilicueta's backside when his back is turned from an failed Hull clearance will do.
  10. I like the way Jose has dealt with the attacking midfield situation on the pitch. Most standard-good manager would have probably stuck to the Mazacar, with De Bruyne immediate back up filling in when one needed a rest, with Moses and Schurrle (who was coming in regardless of who our manager was) playing the squad role. Willian would be a Tottenham. I like that Jose pretty much sussed straight away that the Mazacar leaves us unbalanced, exposed and well to narrow, and it seems like the way forward is Willian and Schurrle in one spot, with Mazacar fighting in the other two, and the AM has a lot more of a balanced look for it. Pro-activeness like that, is what separates the good from the great. Also i like that he seems to have sussed that Cahill-Luiz partnership is not a good one, hench the fact it hasn't been used since Basle at home, outside of domestic cups.
  11. I don't know who's worse, the troll or the people here getting baited.
  12. We played the right game against a Championship side away from home, when they host a PL team, especially one's on form like Derby, they sniff a chance of an upset, we dealt with that in professional fashion. Not a world beating performance, but job done.
  13. I think it's something different other than the manager, players will always go to a club if the project is right, i mean, do you think Hazard signed for us over Fergie's United because he watched Robbie's MK Dons team as a kid?
  14. Lets not forget Strachan's passionate defense of Moyes.
  15. It really is funny, Torres is the one that cost £50m, yet he is the one with the least expected of him. Eto'o misses chances against Swansea he's shit full stop, Torres misses chances today and he's "getting involved in the game and working hard". Oh and don't even go there with the fans chanting "Torres, Torres" everytime he turns over possession. For the record i don't rate Eto'o either, but the sheer amount of double standards and excuses made up for this guy are absolutely hilarious.
  16. Reckon if we ask nicely they will bring back their 07/08 team for one more game?
  17. Last time i can think off is when we put Le Saux in the deal for Wayne Bridge. Edit: and Luiz obviously, but before that Bridge-Le Saux.
  18. Hopefully should we get back to the same levels we were at between 04-10, we would have learned serious lesson's which will prevent us having to witness it all come to a horrible head like it did in 10-11 this time. Even if it looks like there is no way a team could be improved further, there always is, and standing still will lead to stagnation somewhere along the line. Things have got slowly better since 10-11, but it was always going to take time after we let ourself's get to a position where we needed a complete overhaul. United have been in slow decline since 2008, and yeah they have won 3 title's in that time while the squad was still competitive, but it would have came to a head eventually even if Fergie stayed (although not to the extent it has with Moyes). We seemed to stop our policy off bringing in young, hungry players in 2006, and 4 years later it came to bite us in the bum. 10-11 was horrific, 11-12 (league wise) was not much better (i know we finished 4 places below in 6th, but i reckon if we got knocked out of the FA Cup and CL earlier like we did in 10-11, we would have got top 4 and matched the 71 points from the previous season) but in 12-13 there was signs we were slowly getting there, but we still had an unbalanced team which showed in inconsistent result's, but our good displays gave us cause for optimism for future season;s. Now we are getting closer, Mourinho's has implemented the high pressing and energy style he wants to adopt (while last season we suffered a bit of an identity crisis in terms of playing style), there is only a few bits in the jigsaw left needed, if we win the league or run the league close this season, the signs will be ominous for the years ahead. Good times.
  19. From his recent quotes about ringing up the board and telling them not to let him go, Jose clearly admires Mata on a personal level just as much as the fans do, so lets hope these conspiracy's that Jose has an ego driven agenda will stop. Mourinho makes decision's that he believe have the best benefit for Chelsea, and by doing that that means head has to come before heart.
  20. Suspended betting at one point i believe, triffic.
  21. Wolsburg are unlikely to find another player of his caliber in this window, milk them Chelsea.
  22. Jose hasn't won what he has by letting his heart his rule his head. If he thinks making the change is the best footballing decision for Chelsea going forward, he will do it.
  23. The beauty of hindsight, imagine if we kept Jimmy instead of signing Kezman. We would have probably hit 100 points and almost certainly would have scored atleast 1 past Liverpool in the CL.
