I agree that Dan boy is selfish quite a few times but he has the potential nevertheless, i would still give him a season and play him more on the center rather as a winger to exploit his potential. Cavani can wait and honestly like i said in the other topics i dont want to buy a 30m+ something at this point of time when we have Torres coming in his groove.

We ran out of gas finally last nite. Guess yesterday's match was a clear indication of the quality that we have at our disposal. Yes we have been playing quite a few games off late and winning quite a few but still there is no quality once the rotation start. I m not very disappointed because the damage had been already done, all we were doing was trying to fill in the holes. Well played Newcastle and specially the credit has to go to Alan Pardew (he should be a clear favorite for the Manager of the season)
-
I completely understand your point, but i would still not want to go for a striker at this time atleast not someone like Cavani who is going to cost us 30m+ maybe a backup who should not cost us beyond the 7-8m mark. (i m more into saving money than spending it lavishly) I would still try to keep the faith in Sturridge for another year and maybe he mite just mite mature next season. Midfield is something we need to look for real bad because thats what is going to drive everyone right from the players to the team to the managers.
-
Why do we need to buy a star striker next season? Torres is coming back on form, lets get Dan boy in the middle plus we could use Lukaku as backup or if Drogba doesnt go then we got 4 strikers. We have been playing with the lone striker up front dont think it would change. What we need is proper midfield, invest the money in good midfielders rather than strikers! U want 30+ goals from Torres/strikers, get a proper midfield who can feed your strikers.
-
Do we really want him? He is a good player nevertheless but we have Romeu waiting who can pair up in the CM position with Ramiers. I wouldnt mind Fellaini as a backup to them if he comes in real cheap.

Is it Time to Start Drogba and Torres Together?
coolhead23 replied to Justin_3d's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Maybe Torres and Drogba playing together now (strange things have happened after RDM took over) mite just work in the 4-2-3-1 where either one of them can play in the hole. Again as a shot term measure it could work but beyond this season strictly a NO. -
We need to win all our league games which would be real tough. And if we dont then we have to rely on the others so it going to be very tough however we do have the short cut route available now. Beating Bayern is going to be very tough as well but it is just one game and if we can give everything that we have like we have been doing then we are in.

Just the right kind of signing that Chelsea need to be looking for the rebuilt. Versatile (can play both flanks and center), pacey and importantly not much money spend along with quick transfer. I m not sure how did he perform in the last few season but his addition i believe is more of a squad player because he can be used as an offensive player anywhere upfront. Great piece of news!
-
I think what RDM did was completely right in doing what he did. I know there was some consequences to it but if you look at it, it was something which was totally absurd on that yellow cards. It couldnt have been prevented even if the players knew that they were one card away from suspension because those cards were not from the book ( how can u yellow card someone for stamping the penalty spot or just arguing with the ref)

Purely on emotional ground, it would be Torres's goal against Barca. However i would vote from Ramiers chip something which even Messi would be proud of as well. Thats not only the best goal for me but a moment defining one for us.

Couldn't this have waited till the finals.

From the ashes we rose like the Phoenix! That's what is our achievement has been in the last 2 months and right now i feel as the proudest man alive! Thanks Chelsea for these moments.
-
I m sure we all are hoping that and to be honest, that is something which would be the reward for everything he has done so far. But then it is Roman and unfortunately he or the ppl around him doesnt think the logical way. So we all can hope for the best now. Last nite during the post match analysis i heard one of the analyst stating that Chelsea should come out and declare RDM as their permanent manager before we play the final. I agree to that and i m just hoping for the same. But i guess we dont live in an ideal world ...
-
Damn! Woke up and it still feels like that i m in my dreams. What a feeling! The image of Lampard's through ball with Ramiers's awesome chip and Torres's goal seems as if it has been embedded into my brains. The smile on my face just doesnt leave me. Hats off to the entire team for having the belief and staying firm on their feet despite being 2 down. And RDM, TAKE A BOW! I dont know what is gonna be your fate in the coming few months but U would be always be remembered as a true Chelsea Legend.

Van Persie Wins the PFA Footballer of the Year
coolhead23 replied to FranklyFrank's topic in Football Chat
I dont think there was anyone other than RVP who has managed to pull out his team single handedly from being the shame of the season to being atleast respectful. -
Why do u we need another striker, We have Torres, Lukaku, play Sturridge more as a striker/CF and as backup promote one of our reserves/youth in. Bringing another clinical star striker means less exposure to the likes of Sturridge and Lukaku in the striker's position. Llorente is really good and is in the form of his life however if we are to really put in money for a forward position (i mean if we are hell bent of putting money) i would prefer someone like a Lavezzi (who can play in the hole, attack, backtrack, tireless runner) over Llorente any day.

FA Youth Cup Final - Chelsea v Blackburn
coolhead23 replied to Bir_CFC's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I totally forgot about the finals, Damn work! Great work, lads! -
Cahill for his price tag was a steal for a backup CB any day, Arsenal are actually stupid to let that opportunity go away. However Cahill has really stood up with every passing game and is now good enough to play in the first 11. We really got a good deal on this one.
-
Honestly, Mata has to play. I know we would be parking bus at Nou Camp however we need to also remember that Chelsea needs that all important away goal to have a fighting chance. Like someone pointed play Mata in the center, i second that. And more over, Mata has that frighten acceleration which would always come in handy on the counter. Plus you need your best players on the pitch to fight the best in the world.
-
I sincerely wish and hope to see that at the Allianz arena.
-
We gave them pain in every possible way .... And Terry just didnt wanted to let go of that opportunity. My mates and me were laughing on this one even after the match was over. Good one Terry
-
Time to get dirty ... we cant match them in pace but lets rock them in pure strength. I dont mind losing but in turn they should endure the pain on the field for that win. They should f****** remember what hit them, this should not be a game of football. Really liked the article: http://www.football365.com/john-nicholson/7678779/-By-Any-Means-Necessary-For-Chelsea...

FA Youth Cup: Chelsea v Manchester United | 1st Leg
coolhead23 replied to Steve's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I m not sure if u guys actually watched the match but i really don't believe what i saw in the second half, most of our players were actually outrunning the United players. I mean were they were on something or the United lads were slow or are we genuinely so fast. If its the 3rd options i really want to see where do some of them go from here, seriously hope Chelsea dont screw up with these lads. Few of them are actually gems. Good one, lads. Keep it up. -
My MOM would be RDM for this one for finally playing Bertrand .... FINALLY! I dont care what we did today because what i care now is 3 points. Beg, borrow, steal is the mantra. We have been playing shit most of the season, no point analysis the performance now 3 points is all i care and yes playing youth for more game time would be just added bonus.
