  1. Make one of the senior player the manager atleast we dont have to hear "Chelsea sacks another manager". I m sure if Roman decide to take this step none of the players would take this, because they are happy enjoying their life.
  2. Its a f****** sad day yet again .... And the players win yet again. I just fear the worst now with Rafa rumored to take over .... seriously cant think of any words right now ... Why, Roman, Why ...
  3. Now when i look back on the season, it looks as if the manager is not been able dictate his policy rather he has been fighting with the players to show who is the boss. Not that i m happy with the tactics or strategy that the coach has employed but i think we as a club has to have a certain level of stability at the manager level rather than at the players level which is the current case. Like i mentioned it earlier, the so called players at our club have been spoiled a little too much. They are pretty happy with the money they make and there is really no passion or ambitious to give back. I m all for stability even though it means that we do not playing in the champions league for the next 2 season. Need to give the support to AVB more than anyone else and chuck off the players who arent interested in doing their jobs.
  4. Guess u didnt get what i was saying ... I know rebuilding a whole team is a challenge but when a manager comes over here his challenge is more of survival if things dont go their way
  5. What Challenge? That only challenge would be to survive like all his predecessors. This season and probably the next was suppose to be transition phase for us where we get in new players and roll out the old ones. And i guess that why we got a young manager who would be adventurous to do it but whatever he did with the current lot has mis-fired terribly and now his ass is on the fire. So under pressure he cant take risk and he is left with passion less players who dont give a damn abt the gaffer because they know there would be a new one next season. This is what is going to happen with any new manager that comes in and the only reason to come in at Chelsea right now wouldnt be because of a challenge but because of the money they would be getting.
  6. Still want AVB to stay and see through his contract. Sacking him means we would have to start all over again, If someone has to go then i believe it has to be the players (in bulk). There is f****** no passion when they play. Our present team can be more or less compared with the United team of today (in terms of ageing and young players) but look at them, the way they play : total commitment, dedication and they play for everything like a team. And us, there is nothing called as passion. Seriously for some players Chelsea has became a place where they can enjoy their life on the club's expense, they are the ones who need to go not AVB.
  7. Point taken, Mod. But i never said it was reliable i merely pointed that they were rumors catching on ... There was nothing to be so serious.
  8. Links from unreliable sources, such as Goal or Tribalfootball will be deleted from the forum, due to their relative lack of credibility. Quotes from these websites will be removed at the discretion of the moderating team. Sh0n3x
  9. This thread should be closed and buried. We have quite few issues on hand than to even imagine the thought of Suarez joining us. He may be good in his play, but do we really someone like him. Hell NO!
  10. Oh Gosh! Another AVB thread ... I know AVB has not able to live up to the expectations that everyone has but then how is sacking him a solution to everything. As fans we need to understand that we support the club on the whole and sacking him, getting another manager with his team of support staff will have nothing but financial implications for a club which has already made quite a loss. I know shedding out a few million pounds for Roman is not a big deal (I m sure he would keep letting out those pounds for Chelsea) but then it is high time that we dont keep depending on Roman for anything and everything. With the fair play coming, we need to get our finances right as well. Secondly and importantly, sacking coaches/managers season after season means there is no stability at the club and among the players. The players would always be confident that we would have someone else coming the next season. Stability is the key for any top club and unfortunately that is something missing at ours. I know that AVB has been adamant, one dimensional and at times i really wish that i could punch him on his face for his baffling decisions but as a fan i need to look at the bigger picture and support him as the manager of this club for stability. I hope and pray that whatever is the outcome of this season, AVB is there atleast till the end of his contract. It is not about believing in him at this point of time but believing in the club that we all love.
  11. Well done, Fabio u finally did something right in your England tenure as coach. At least u stood by to what u though was right. This mite not be a good news to Spurs because Redknapp is the and was the fav to take over Capello ...
  12. Can someone plz plz plz kill Malouda ... I swear he has become more than a liability for the club ...
  13. I completely agree with lot of us that AVB has been really not living up to expectation. But then, Is sacking him a solution for us? can anyone guarantee the next coach would get us the wins/result/vision? ... We lose out loads of money for the new gaffer and then again a new philosophy and if that's not happening again the same old loop ... I was annoyed with the selection to start with and i never expected a win ( my predication was a 1-3 to United) but we were good in lot of areas and kept pressing despite being average. I m not giving AVB the credit but then we really dont have any option but to continue with him, like it or not .... If we sack AVB this season i dont see any good manager coming here for sure ...
  14. Can someone please please please KILL Malouda for me .... i swear this guy has become more than a liability to the club
  15. Yupieeeeee .... Bosingwa on the left .... .... United to win 1-3 ... though as always i would hope for a Miracle
  16. Completly agree with the change in formation as per the team requirements. One thing which really bring down the confidence in AVB is that he is not ready to try anything else and is hell bent on a formation which needs pace and creativity combined. At time AVB comes across as Wenger who is stubborn with his policies. AVB is trying to play the same formation week in week out like he doesnt have anything else in his bag of tricks. For me thats is worrying. I completely agree on pairing Danny boy with Torres/Drogba/Lukaku because 1 he is one who has been getting goals (in form) and 2. He would fare well as a striker with an experienced hand beside him.
  17. Great article. Nicely presented parts by parts. We all know that we can beat Napoli but will we? That is the biggest question. Their strenght lies in their offensive play our weakness is our defensive play (for now). It is more or else the same on the other side, our best department for now is our midfield and they are not known to be a defensive force. So more than relying on Drogba i would want Torres to find that exclusive goal before the start of the champion league which (i really hope) can open the floodgates for him and us. Chances for us winning this season would be close to a mircale but if our defence play like a strong unit and with less injuries i fancy we going till the semis.
  18. Exactly .... Thats why i would love to use the resources that we have in hand and i think we have some real good talent with us. It is just a matter of using them appropiately. Roman has spend a lot, i think it is time that we repay him back and be self sufficent.
  19. Completly agree with u.... We would keep waiting for the "right player" .... I would really not mind that provided we forget about winning the league/cups (have realistic goals for 2 seasons) and concentrate on our youth getting more and more gametime and experience.
  20. Well let have the first signing done before we even think of the second. With the way things are going, come Feb 1 we would ruining the fact how we lost out getting new players and would have all our hopes focussed on the summer transfer.
  21. Best dribbler in the last decade has to be Robben for me. Among the current lot Dan boy would get my vote because of the pace and finishing he bring to his dribbles.
  22. The problem is that Torres is trying too hard to get a start in the team. Hence he is trying to be a Tevez like player so that he can show the manager his hard work but in turn his actual game is going for a toss. Torres is a striker with clinical finisher and a dangerous one, he is 27 and a little too late to have a new skill in his arsenal. All he need is confidence and the motivation from his gaffer and that lad can do wonder. Lets not hope that he turns into a AM.
  23. Damn! Are we so scared that we need to have our first team playing the game against the Championship team. Come on! When are our youngsters gonna get a chance (will they aware get a chance?)
