  1. If Modric is going and not coming to Chelsea then i hope he moves to RM rather than moving to United which would be very devastating.
  2. All i can say here is : Empty mind is a devil's workshop. People actually have so much time to think, then plot it out and connect a card game to a catastrophic event and create videos out of it with their justifications and then involve other fools like me to actually watch it. Wish if these minds were used for productive stuff, the world would had been a safer and better place to live in.
  3. I guess there comes a time when we stop going to daddy for each and every thing, we need to get independent. Roman has been shelling out money ever since he has taken over and honestly it is time that we become self sufficent. I know it is not a big deal for him to shell out some extra pounds but it has to stop somewhere. 38m is way too much for a player who is not proven plus we arent in a bidding war as well, just being held to ransom by the club. I agree with some of people here that we can buy some one cheap and utilise the remaining money for better use. It time for the club to start being smart and also for all us fans to stop creating fantasy squads.
  4. You just dont shell out £38m on an unproven player in the English league. We have already taken that gamble with Hazard. Besides why should we be held to random by other clubs, if the player wishes to play for the European Champions then let him force his exit (like Alexis Sanchez who was quoted at 35m+ by the club and he ended up at Barcalona for 23m something). There are plenty of them out there, if only our club would look for them.
  5. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/7797338/Ivanovic-denies-agent-claims "Reports on Tuesday suggested that the Serbia defender had no intention of quitting west London following comments to the media by Vlado Borozan." Hope this clears the air.
  6. I believe before we start talking of getting the youth introduced to the big bad world of football, the priority should be who would be the manager and stability along with it. because the futures of these young guns in waiting would be solely on who is on the hot seat and his philosophies. If he is a risk taker than the youth have a real good shot at their careers within Chelsea but if he someone who plays it safe then the chances would go down considerably for them. Other than that it has been a mixed bag so far, so being good on their loan tenures and some not so good. It would be too early to say where would these guys land up.
  7. I think what is important is to get specialist in each position, that is the mark of a strong team. For us the right side has been always a hole ever since Joe Cole's decline in form and then he moving out. We have tried to gamble to Struddige and Ramires last season with mixed luck and if i m not wrong i dont think we have anyone in the youth ranks as well to fit into the RW position. I know we would say Marin is the one who would come in that position because he a versatile player who can play across the line but he wouldnt be drafted into the first team right away (I really have my doubts). So what are the options for us, get back Danny boy in that position and hamper his progress as a striker or get in Ramires and create a void in the middle. Makeshift plans wouldnt work in the long term, so we need a young and established RW who can be backed up by Marin. Not saying we should get Hulk (he is really costing the club hell lot of money) only but a RW who can do the tirelessly running and crossing on the flanks eg: someone like Valencia
  8. I m not saying get Hulk, i m saying get in a RW because that is the need of the hour. Again Ramires and Lampard/Mikel/Essien/Romeu r the ones who would bridge the gap between the offense and defense. because of Ramires pace and energy is why he is more needed at the center. Last season we played Sturridge in the wings and by the latter half of the season he just vanished. We cant take the same risk again. And if it is about investing in a player than would prefer a RW rather than CM at this point of time.
  9. Come on, mate. Ramiers is better at the center and has really done well in there making it his own. He wasnt much of an impact when he was playing in the wings for the few games which he was there so why push him there unless there is no other option. We need to utilize his pace and energy in the middle and not at the side. Again by pushing him into the right we would then need to look out for a CM to fill in the void. Better get a RW with Marin as the backup and we dont have to worry abt it for few years.
  10. U just cant go ahead and sign a striker when u have 3 in waiting. Signing a right winger makes more sense at this point of time because 1.we dont have a specialist RW. I know Marin can play because he is more of a versatile player but again i believe he would be used more of backup still we need a cover of him if he starts in that position. 2. I dont think we have a RW coming from our youth rank as well (correct me if i wrong here) 3. Let's not have a makeshift plan like last year which just didnt work for us. We can strengthen the entire midfield this window and provide the platform for the strikers to perform because then there shouldnt be any complaints.
  11. Yes the hype around Josh is a little over but then the guy has talent/potential. The unfortunate part in his case is that he has not been able to showcase but then again he is just 19. He would surely get his chance under the sun to perform, so right now it is too early to be worried about Josh. He needs to have more game time whether here or somewhere else on loan and i believe he should come out good. Until last year, Danny boy was not even getting starts in the team and look what those 4 months did to him. So let's be patience and stop jumping the gun.
  12. I would say better than 1 in 10 weeks or 0 in 10 weeks. It is a good sign he is among the goals and let not judge him with his the price tag, because of it the expectation automatically go up 10 times.
  13. Honestly mate, even we combine the two into one we still wouldnt get even half of what is Modric, from that combination.
  14. I dont quite agree that he is not coming back to his groove, i believe he has improved a lot under RDM's tenure and has also worked on the other aspects of his game. And off late he has been showing signs of the old Torres. I agree that it took time for the coaches/managers to bench him but we need to understand that the owner has spend ridiculous amount of money to get a player so u cant just bench him after a game or 2. On the AVB thing, he really didnt handle Torres well (as a matter of fact he didnt handle quite a few players properly). Torres had started to play well in the initial part of the season if u remember until he got suspended after which he again went into his shell, i mean on the whole suspension thing, no one supported him. What do u expect the player is going to feel like, the morale of the player would just come down. At Liverpool he was well fed with the passes and he didnt have to backtrack to get the ball. At Chelsea there were so many times u would find him in the box and the other player/players would come and shoot away to glory rather than passing the guy who is in a better position. These are things which would frustrate any player but having said that he has improved his game a lot. THe heavy touches are clear signs of a demotivated player and i believe the difference in the performance was so evident under AVB and under RDM I m not a Torres fan but i do believe that he was not handled well at Chelsea, it would had been the same story with anyone else in his position. I hope this is a chance which he can take and prove his worth to the team, the coaches/managers, the owner and the fans.
  15. Whether the likes of Gerrard, Lucas, Kuyt, etc in the Liverpool squad was better than ours can have a different thread altogether. But he excelled at Liverpool is the reason we got him plus he was decent enough for his national side too. He is among those who excelled for his clubs than his national team, it is as simple as that. There are lot of players who have not been good for their national side as compared to their clubs, so what? The 50m tag was sufficient itself for the coaches/managers to make him a first choice whether u like it or not, however when he was not doing well he was kept on the bench as well. And now when he is getting into the groove, u think he is not good enough. So what u suggest should be done?
  16. Do u really want to get digging into the past as to what was done and what not. Yes he didnt play the way we expected him to, yes there is a lot of time spent to revive him, Yes he has been out of form for most of his Chelsea career but the thing is that after all this he is getting back his form, he's worked on the other aspects of his game. With a proper midfield (which we lacked atleast from the time Torres has come in) i believe he can really fire. And at this point of time if we are to get another striker so that he can play second fiddle to him, wouldnt that be a screw up? Yes we did everything to help him expect fill up the hole in our midfield which could and should had been done at the start of the last season or in the mid January window. I m not saying he would come in and score 30 goals next season ( we all wish that happens) but the confidence is there so lets cash on that and importantly he also has the support of his team mates. Provide him with a good midfield setup and who knows .... Form is temporary, Class is permanent.
  17. Looks to me someone is regaining his lost confidence back and is wanting to go out to give it all. Thats a real good sign for us. Chelsea should really use this momentum and if we dont screw up, we could very well see the vintage Torres in whom we have invested heavily or maybe even better one.
  18. http://www.thenational.ae/sport/football/ajaxs-gregory-van-der-wiel-offered-to-chelsea Not sure how much reliable it is.
  19. If Burma is getting regular playing time then this is a good move for him to continue on loan. This season at Chelsea, Terry should be given the support/backup role while Cahill/Luiz/Ivanovic should lead the central defense line. And then next season Burma and Kalas should be introduced into that frame, if everything goes smooth then we mite see Burma making first team appearance after 2 seasons (ideal world scenario)
  20. Great job! Cant wait for the second part now.... I sure that would have an extended timing
  21. As much as i want him to stay, if he decides to go i would really be happy for him because u dont get a send off in this manner. And his last kick would penned with gold in history of the club as the midas touch which made us the champions of Europe. In one game itself he became the hero to the villain to a Legend.
  22. Had so much to write about RDM but to sum it all in short ..... Hats off to u, RDM. True Legend! :tophat: :tophat: :tophat: :tophat: :tophat:
  23. FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE THE CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE. . . . . . . . . . . this is not going to sink in so easily
