I can't remember Eden playing as a false-9 under Rafa at all. I think he only played it once the entire season with Chelsea (vs Juve). That said, he can be ok there but the problem is that if he's dropping deep you require the wingers to run past him (we're really bad at this, the biggest problem having 3 number 10s who rather run towards the ball than away) to exploit the space and in turn create space for Eden to turn as well. Yeah Schurrle will do that but Mata can't.

Meh, you can't get everyone you want. There are a lot of players that would be great at Chelsea but we can't get them. That said, Chelsea is probably the envy of the world in that respect considering the talent we have on our books.

4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 is not a minor difference. 4-2-3-1 you have two defensive mids who both are responsible for defending their zone depending on where the ball is and holding and covering the back 4 is inherent in both roles. Additionally, the 3 attacking mids are asked to do a lot more defensively as they play deeper than they would in a 4-3-3. 4-3-3, there is only one holder who is responsible for covering the back 4 whereas the other two centre-mids, one is a ball-winner/box-to-box player and the other oftentimes a more attacking player. You may move around a few players in a 4-3-3 and turn it into a 4-2-3-1 but the actual roles of the players are considerably different. The good thing about our team is that we can switch between both formations without making a substitution.

Can he tackle? Yes of course he can, he's one of the best tacklers on our team and undoubtedly the best in the world in his position. Does he have the discipline? Yes, marking out Pirlo and Arteta are prime examples of instances where he was asked to do a job and not run around chase the ball. Can he get physical? Yeah def does look like it, makes more than enough tackles and commits his fair share of fouls too.

There's more to football than just winning games. I love Chelsea like my family and I wouldn't want a player like Suarez at Chelsea. You can argue Azpi over Rafael, but I like Rafael too, he struggled against us but overall he was pretty awesome last season. I'd argue Evra over Cole, Cole was disappointing last season and Evra bounced back and had a good season I thought. Vidic is class when he plays but he's barely played now for almost 2 years, I'd replace him with Rio tbh. I'd replace Oscar with Ramires too. Our first 11 is def better than United and possibly the entire EPL but United won it cause of Fergie and they had great depth within their squad. If you create a first XI and second XI then I bet United might eclipse us (last year, probably not now).

He's better offensively than Bertrand, but he's been known to be very poor defensively. That said, he should have gotten a tougher loan, he's outgrown Vitesse. But I guess if Vitesse are going to give us MVG for dirt cheap they expect something in return.
