I think lots of you are exaggerating with him staying here. It seems to me that chances are actually really high that he may leave to Atletico and I'm bloody happy about it!

This would be a brilliant transfer if we pull it through. Return to Atletico would be a great thing for Torres and they really would need another striker. Signing Torres for 10m is a bargain considering how much he loves the club and how how much he's still popular when it comes to marketing even though I fail to understand why. He should stay and compete. Besides he's young it's not like we can't sell him later on needed. He should at least be given a chance. We can send him on loan or sell even after the start of premier League since the transfer window is still open then.

I would really want Varane here. I don't think I have ever seen a young defender that impressed me as much as he did when he was instrumental under Mourinho. Even though I am not someone to support big fee transfers I would support 30m for Varane. He is so young with immense potential and could be our CB for quite some time. But that that said, somehow I can't see this transfer happening and instead they are just milking Real for a new contract...

I would love him here to provide some depth on our midfield position. He has a good season under his belt and is certainly an upgrade from Mikel. Look at the Eto'o transfer last season. He was physically in worse shape then Thiago yet he has done well for us. As a short term squad player for free he would be a great deal. Especially until we check Van Ginkel and Romeu. I can't escape a feeling we will be playing 4-3-3 next season because of Fabregas which means we only -have 3 regular midfielders in Matic, Ramires and Fabregas. That's absolutely not enough. I'm omitting VanG and Romeu since I'm not sure what will Mourinho do with them.

Aye...I'm no financial expert and I rather hate finance and stuff, but it seems teams are easily avoiding FFP...well as teams are adapting, I hope FFP get modified too. Ah I always feel unmoral to talk about clubs with loads of money spoiling football considering Chelsea started it But I like to belive we actually aren't high spenders as media likes to point us. Almost every season you see a club sign someone for incredible fee, like Barca did Suarez this season, Neymar, Mata and Bale last season, Aguero, Falcao and Cavani also...Barcelona with Ibrahimovic few seasons ago, Kaka and CR to Madrid also, Carroll to Liverpool...without Torres, Chelsea actually wouldn't have anybody on top 20 most expensive transfers of all time (depends on reported fees of course)
