1. You rarly seen him creating his own goals? you havent seen him enough. 2. That sentence with Drogba playing LB at Camp Nou.... what? thats realy isnt something to think about when you're buying a striker. 3. Any decent striker would have won us the CWC, but thats it? winning CWC means something? we should have a striker who is good enough to win us the CL, the leauge, not just a striker who is "Better than Torres". Because Torres is so awful alot of you just want to change him for anyone, for January its ok, but in the longer term we should get someone in the highest level because thats the team we want to be.
-
Imo we need an exceptional striker, like one of the best, thats if you want to have one of the best teams and you're not satisfied with less. Main reason is that we dont have other big scorers in the starting line up. I dont know any striker with this profile that cost less than 35m euros. And i dont think Higuain is good enough for example.
-
I realy dont think so. Napoli said he will leave for more, dont remmember how much, and i think he have a release clause for around 50m euros.
-
You dont have an example of a game which United destroyed a team that plays like Bilbao played. How your opinion can be convincing?
-
There is a question about it. United are struggling against shity teams in PL this season, they would struggle against Bilbao of last season who can easily hart their weaknesses. You dont have any proof they would destory them because United arent good against this kind of football, i have proofs. I never said we have a good striker, what do you want....
-
its like you didnt read my post at all (and dont know enough about football). They wont merk Bilbao (of last season, Bilbao are pretty poor now). United havent improve anything but improve their attack force, so Bilbao would still play the better football and control the game. "Regardless, you can look at any formidable team in Europe and I guarantee you will find holes. What you won't find is a lack of finishers" maybe, but there are teams with much less "holes" than united. They shouldnt be an example, absolutely not.
-
But my point is there is a big difference between Barca and Real to United. United win games mostly because they have better attack than most oppositions in PL, Real and Barca (well Real arent that good all the time at this moment, but generaly they are) have a much better midfield, they control games, teams cant get comfortable against them, cant hold the ball too much because of their good pressure. Its a totally different level of football.
-
Omg you actually compared united to Real and Barca... read my post up there. Real and Barca have much better tactics and defend than United's.
-
Doesnt mean we need to ignore it as well. Utd isnt near as good as other teams in the world, and the reason is that they ignored those issues. You should all stop with this "Look at Utd" talk, main goal is to win the league (and they havent won it yet btw, and imo they wont but never mind), but we should build a much better team than Utd's team if we want to be a real force in Europe. The reason United could have ignore their big issues in midfield is that in England the midfield is much less important than in Spain for example. most teams in England cant hurt United's weakness in the midfield because they have an even more rubbish midfield, so Fergouson got RVP- another match decider. In this move+when he havent bought better midfield, Fergouson must knew United wont improve too much when they play in the Europe against teams that could hurt them. Look at what Bilbao did to United last season- they ripped them with their tactics, pressure game and midfield. right now the EPL, imo at least, is weaker than La Liga in most parts. Tactics there are better and up to date, most teams there (and some in Germany) play football that most English teams cant handle imo, so my question is - why not play similar to them? we know how English teams arent comfortable with this football (also look at City in the CL against Dortmund, Real, Bayern. They btw have a good squad but awful manager), we should go for this kind of football, not go for the "United's way"- buy strikers and ignore our mifdield problems. Yeah we should buy a striker, maybe even two, but we need more than that. This way we will succeed in England, and will compete against the best teams in the world (which they arent the English teams those days).
-
Who said 60m euros for the best striker in the world is over the top? those are the prices today. 32m pound for Hazard wasnt over the top as well, they could have asked for more. If you want Chelsea to be one of best teams, we need to spend.
-
We got Meireles in the summer. In January we got Cahill, De Bruyne and Piazon.
-
i would have had a new CM to play next to the DM.
-
Whats that thing about "defend in epl"? the thing is about having a system, you dont have to have big and very strong midfielders to defend well. English teams gets very confused and have difficulties when you're playing a good pressure game against them (you could even see it with us, Utd and City in Europe, becuase we arent very familier with that in the EPL), if we want to be one of the best 3-4 teams in the world we got to have that anyway, and i think playing this way will also be very effective against English opponents. If Oscar/Pjanic could defend well and play well in the double pivot in other places, they could do it in Englend (though we dont know that about Oscar).
-
i havent thought that at all, especially not since March when we started playing realy well, and i think that team was a lot more solid than Utd's team today.
-
But what about the dates of every game? they didnt say it. It will suck if Real-Man u will be played in the same day of Shaktar-BVB, for example... so how do we know that?
-
Josh? Lamps? come on. i mean you could say we dont need him, but you got some weak reasons, thats all..
-
Swansea is the best team out of the 3, so its good for us to play them in 2 games and not in the final. that way there's a bigger chance for us to show we're the better side. I dont know why you're upset. i wanted us to get swansea.
-
PRESSURE. dont do that to our russian, he likes to make decisions slowly and calmly.
-
If they dont win this trophy this squad can seriously fuck off. (and im mad only about the CWC, in the super cup we played a better team)
-
Am i the only one who just had enough of seeing this team in all of those little cups tournaments? we are just so weak, i just cant see us play anymore. i kind a want us to get eliminated here and in the Europe League, i know it sounds bad but ffs, who cares and why would we win this Europe League when there are better teams? lets focus on getting this 3rd place.

Anybody wants news from pretty unreliable sources? ChelsTransferGossip@ChelsTransfer Higuain, Cavani, Walcott, Remy, Schurrle and Ba have all been monitored by Chelsea over the past 12 months #CFC (London Evening Standard) Chelsea officials have already flown to Madrid to open negotiations with Atletico over the transfer of Falcao #CFC (London Evening Standard) Moutinho, who has a £28.5m release clause, is high on Chelsea’s wish-list, while Fellaini is also under consideration #CFC #EFC (DailyStar)

Sitting in a chair you say...

Remember when we signed Hazard/Luiz/Mata and on and on...? it could go either way with this media talk. We'll know soon. I have a good feeling about this, but its still seems like a long shot that he'll join in January. idk.
-
Agree about both, but what would you say about Oscar in this position instead of buying one of them? Im starting to think that Oscar wont have a place in the first 11 if we'll get that midfielder, becuase our next manager could not want to play Oscar-Mata-Hazard (and play with Moses for example, like Benitez is doing most of the time). question is if Oscar could play in the double pivot too, otherwise his career in Chelsea could not go big as we thought.
