What Was The Most Absurd Appointment
nadavTKL replied to Changingman_2000's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
The Israeli legend off course... funny (awful...) days. even dow i was more annoyed with Benitez's appointment. -
Can he play in the double pivot? that's the real question.. Otherwise off course we don't need him.
-
It's January, you cant fix all your problems in this window, it's more about getting some players in if your situation is bad (or if you have injuries and stuff).
-
What would you do? See the game LIVE with my cell phone? or get back home like 5 hours after the game has ended, download it which will take like 2 hours, and watch it on tv?
-
Why do we "have" to buy a CB in January? Luiz, Ivan and Cahill can handle it until JT will be back. We dont need 5 options. Our next CB should be the one who will replace JT in the future, it could be Hummels, Yanga-Mbiwa, Subotic... it could happen in the summer, but than i think we should sell Cahill. We do have to get a DM.

I think Lampard is sad when is seat so much on the bench, so yes its worth it. i dont want him to end his career that way.
-
But in other-weaker teams he could play a lot more, and be a regular starter, thats the point.
-
But he wants to play! if he cant play near as much as he wants in Chelsea, i think he should leave himself. It will be very sad for us Chelsea fans thats for sure, but the good thing is that Lamps will get to finish is career happy. As a Frank Lampard fan i wont be sad about it, Frank is just not someone who can seat on the bench so much, we know him. And its not a bad thing, he's just that kind of a winner.

He's 1.84 according to WIkipedia. Azpi is 1.78. Would love him here.
-
You were saying? 5 goals for the BEST striker in the world.
-
Dont know about the penalty but it should have been 3-0 with Young's goal. Kind a depressing, still 10 points gap.
-
24-14 (in matches) It supposed to be a good comparison for our striker?
-
What would you say about playing 4-3-3 like this: -----CDM----- Oscar-Moutinho Mata----Hazard --------ST-------- And you dont have to look at Real or at any other team and say "with dont have that, so it wont work", I think its too much for any of us to declare "That would work 100%" or "that would never work". the thing is about to find the right system when the manager will come and do some serious job, and imo we can get results of succses with the three of Hazard, Mata and Oscar with some changes. The formation i wrote is another option. I do agree we need players in, like i said in this topic a deep lying playmaker could change our game. I dont realy want Bale in my team, i think he's too one-dimensional to play in a realy realy good team which is what we want to be. You talked about Di maria, another winger, i dont think he's good enough either to be a regular starter for Real, fact is almost every Real fan i know thinks the same, especially this season. Imo a winger this days (in ther highest levels) has to be more versitale, Di Maria and Bale arent imo. I also think Hazard and Moses can offer enough width, but again- orders from the manager are key, and the speed we are playing in is vital for them to be more direct. With a good double pivot our game will flow better and faster. Today Hazard always need to come back to midfield and organize the game with Mata, it doesnt need to be he's job! * btw, no matter what your opinion is, i think its important to remmember that when we are talking about Oscar and Hazard we are talking about players in their first season in England and in the team.
-
1. I do think we could be very good with "passing game", that also build on fast transitions from defense to attack and pressure. I think we could do that with a midfield of Moutinho and Oscar beside the CDM, and Hazard, Mata and a striker uprfront. I think it could work with the right manager. And it doesnt have to be one-dimensional, it depends on the players you have. With fast players in midfield which we will have with the players i've mentioned, explosive striker (like Falcao or Cavani) this side can play fast, with width. btw you are talking like Barca dont have width at all, they do play it alot, familiar with Dani Alves? 2. About width in our current team- you answerd yourself. If we want to play this way we do have Hazard who offers width, he did it very good at Lille and in the last few games he does it more for Chelsea, and we have Moses who play regulary under Benitez so far. With those two players in the line up i dont think we lack width. What we do still need is someone to organize the game, and i would like to see Oscar in the position he played today. Yes Oscar still look a bit soft to play this role, but with more hard work from Mata, Hazard and Moses (and it depends on the manager orders only), it could work better then Ramires and Mikel.

But why you're still talking about tiki taka? its not the point! Real dont play tiki taka, Bayren, Durtmond, Shaktar.... but they are all play very progressive football that bring the results too. "Real is trying to play nice football, but even they have issues with inconsistency"- who doesnt have issues with inconsistency? no one is perfect. and what Arsenal has to do with that? when they had great players their style was very efficient, in the last 7-8 years their players havent been good enough to win the league or CL. They played with a very young team, and when the players grow to be one of the best in the world, they sold them.
-
i've changed my words to "Old fashion", because im not sure im 100% know what "Pragmatic" means.
-
Ok, i wasnt sure about writing Barca actually, and i can agree about the things you said about them. The thing with Barca is that they have such great players, and they are playing their game so good that even if you know what they are going to do its very very hard to stop them. So i think they can let themselves be so one-dimensional. "Do you really think Barca would be that much weaker if playing in a vastly different way?"- well, yes. not sure if i got you question but yeah their game suits their players perfectly. And about the second one, Messi would be imposible to play with in any team imo, dont know about iniesta and Xabi. but again i dont realy understand how its relate to our topic. But you havent said anything about the other teams i've mentioned, i dont see them as one-dimensional at all. And about your last sentence- "pragmatic" could mean alot of things, first i need to understand what you mean about pragmatic. for example i dont think Chelsea's Morinhou was that "old fashion" because Morinhou shared with the football world some great and new ideas back than that been use in todays top teams, and i think that team, in its prime, would still be succsusful today with this kind of football because it was a fantastic team. "old football" for me is what Man U is playing this season- labs from the wingers every other attack. You can see alot of it in England. So i dont think it will ever go back to that. Thats against evolution of football. its like going backwords in terms of pure football skills for a player. You need to understand im not talking about "Play like Barcelona", thats not the point, the point is about attacking faster with more creativity and skills for a player, other crucial point is pressure game. Dont forget Real Madrid's coach is Morinhou, and they are not playing possession game, so its not about it, not what im talking about. My point is we need to go to one direction, if we want to play the more modern football we need to play with different central midfielders.
-
Thing is we CANT keep possession against the realy good teams in the world, we saw it in the CL. Those teams do have a all team that could pass the ball well. what you need is a change in midfield to change our philosophy. a player like Fallaini wont help for that. You call Dortmund, Bayren, Real and Barca one-dimensional?
-
Moutinho is a hard worker, so as Oscar, you just need to give them the right orders. This season our managers havent got as to play with good tactics like Dortmund plays for example, and what would you say about Dortmund players? they have Gotze, Reus,Kuba, and Gundogan as a DM/CM, can you say they have alot of power and stamina? same goes to Bayren, Real and Shaktar, they all play with better tactics than ours, and have better and smarter midfield. And again. they dont have such strong players. If there were players with creativity in deep midfield that are maybe bigger and offer more in defense-i would have wrote them next to Moutinho and Cabaye, but there arent, and i dont think Fellaini is one. I dont think Fellaini is a smart footballer for the top levels, i think too many times he makes wrong decisions, too many times for someone who should carry a team, as you thinking he can do that. because thats what we need- we need quality in central midfield, quality that Moutinho have, and saying he only play for fancy moves is just BS, and says you realy dont know how to look at the work he is doing. we need someone to control our game, pass the right passes, and he also need to work defensevly. im 100% sure Moutinho and Cabaye working hard defensevly, dont know what you saw with them, but they are. you need hard work from the ALL team, thats what the top teams are doing this days, and the top teams right now are the two top Spaniard and two top Germans, the 4 of them doesnt have that much power in midfield, they have a midfield that could control a game and make right decesions, and have better tactics than we do- better managers. They do alot of pressure job, all the players in the team work as a unit. "We have Mazacar and you saw they couldnt get us through CL group cuz they hava no plan b, no stamina, power and that is FACT." No, Mazascar arent the ones to blame, if thats what you think it says much about how hard you're wrong when you're judging today's football. We failed in the CL becuase Juventus and Shaktar plays better football than ours as a team. Their tactics are better, their central midfield plays better football, smarter football. You just looked at our new players- Mata, Oscar and Hazard- saw that with them we are not as strong as others- and say "it doesnt work, lets go back to play with stamina and power players"- that is wrong! the real FACT is that apart from those three, we do not have players who are good passers, with creativity, Juventus and Shaktar do have that and thats why they are better. Central midfield is such an important thing in football, yes we have Mazascar, but they can only play with themselves, we do not have a real team that playes as ONE team when Ramires and Mikel are playing behind the 3 (and Torres infront of them, but thats a differnet story). It looks like we are relying on those three because they are our all team offensivly- Mikel and Ramires are so different players that it hurts our game. we need to finish our transition, and we need to do that in changing our central midfield. what "power players" will give you now? why would it work? with Mikel and Ramires it doesnt work, and they are both players of power (Mikel) and stamina (Ramires). when you said "energy and heart in both ends of pitch, giving us hard worker" its like you're talking about Ramires... so why Fellaini? yes im getting that you think he's like Alonso, but thats so far from the truth. Its not about become Barca, its about become a team that playes modern football and plays it well like the teams i mentioned and better, for that you need new midfield and new manager. And i do think thats what Roman and the club is going for. Maybe you like too see more of our "old" football, but i dont think its the way to go right now in todays football. We already began our transition, we need to complete it, and with our current players and with the money we can spend- it should look just fantastic when we'll get that right manager and the right players in midfield and off course the right striker.

still not answering my simple question... frustrating.
-
soooo, you saw it somewhere or you just think?
-
"apparently", "Oh you have"... please stop trying whatever you're trying to do.
-
i actually have, yes. I dont think he's good enough defensevly, and he doesnt have the responsibility to do this hard job in Chelsea.
