How hard it was? United didnt have any brilliant central midfelders in the last two years, neither do Chelsea and Arsenal post Cesc, so it leaves Yaya Toure and Modric. And still, Spurs midfield with Parker-Modric wasnt that good, it was broken down easily when Parker doing crazy job at the back. Says somthing about Modric's workrate.

They are different players, and im saying exactly how they are different. I can suggest Moutinho is a better fit for us because i saw him alot, like i saw Modric. Moutinho plays for Porto, a team who met strong teams along the years in Europe and in Portugal, and plays for Portugal (National), and he faced very strong teams there as well. So your argument is weak. Modric havent played much in the CL and havent gone far for his Country. Premier League in the last few years is not always the highest level, especially not in the midfield game. Modric played against midfields who arent better than Moutinho played against, you can be sure about that.

If we're smart will go the other way arond and sign Capoue.
-
And for Real he wasnt good enough in this position (I think that, and most Real fans). So, Spurs or Real Madrid? i want to be in the level of Real if im honest. Modric isnt aggressive enough, not talking only about his physics but mainly about his approach off the ball. He is not like Moutinho who offer non stop pressure and firmness. He's just a bit soft. For that reason i think his best role is in a 4-3-3 formation. But even then, i dont think he's a player for the very top top teams (but thats just my feeling).
-
Well Hazard signed for us in the end so... But seriously, you shouldnt read too much into it, Falcao doesnt just say things like that, an interviewer asked him about going to PSG and Falcao have no reason to answer "PSG? no, i dont want to go there".

Yes Torres should never play, but our team has just bad mentality this season. Title afer title they lost this group of youngsters and/or irresponsible players, they are just not up for it. You can had to that the games vs Juve and Shaktar away when we didnt show anything, the game game vs QPR, the one against Liverpool when we should have scored 2 or 3 but instead we gave them the chance to score and they did. Its like the opposite of the end of last season. And this apathetic Benitez doesnt help at all. i cant watch anymore realy.
-
So im the only one who got enough of this season?
-
I got enough of this bucnh of irresponsible losers! just got enough of this! fuck them, simple as that.
-
Have you noticed that in the last few days we "closed deals" with 3 players? i would have been realy nervous and irritated if one of those players were in my "Chelsea Wishlist", but none of them is so i just hope at least 2 of those rumours are false.
-
LDN Blue asked a legit question, no reason to act like that. I would like to know too actually- how many of you see Fellaini as our new CDM, and how many of you think he is the man to play besides the CDM (the CM position)?
-
I would like that to be enough, but the fact is they all very young and havent played in this position. If it could work, great, but it doesnt look like happening soon- Oscar doesnt get chances theier, and KDB is on loan. Josh? please.
-
CM- Benat, Moutinho, Cabaye, Pjanic. CDM- I would go for Capoue who'll cost half the price.
-
Sorry but i dont know how can you say that. for 6 months we lack that Playmaker in the midfield, and you think Fellaini with his drive will make us good as teams who plays with that Playmaker.... you learned nothing from watching our games vs Juve and Shaktar, and you learned nothing about the game we are trying to play. Go aroung any top team right now, and i dont mean City and UTD that we saw they arent better than us when it comes to play the realy strong teams of Europe, they all have this player and thats a big reason we are behind them and we will be behind them if we wont bring one ourselves.
-
Am i the only one who thinks the article in "L'equipe" doesnt seem too certain about what its reporting?
-
And who will pass the ball up the pitch? who will control our game? unbelievable how some fans dont see our biggest problem (after we got a stiker).
-
If he's coming as a CDM, especially for this price, i dont agree with this move but whatever.... but if he comes as our new CM- i would stop watching our games for some time... at least thats what i would want to do.
-
People who see him playing alot defined him for me as a midfielder who is similar to Alonso, in aspect of defensive work and playmaking abilities at the back. Sounds good to me.
-
Its not a fact at all. In fact, there wasnt any good source that suggested we were after Modric in the summer (Btw Guardian and Telegraph are not good sources and made up tons of stories about Chelsea).
-
When you keep talking about Isco and Willian in this theard it shows that you dont realy think about what you're talking about when it comes to transfers and you just want to see the big names coming to the team. I mean people who know Taison are telling you he's a Second Striker/Winger, and there are good sources saying we want him, so how are you coming up with Isco and Willian as "Better options then him" when they arent the same type of players at all? they are both very simillar to Hazard, Mata and Oscar, Taison offers somthing else, so why you cant understand that the club probably think we need THIS kind of player and not another Playmaker? You can say stuff like "i think we need a CAM, not a Second Striker/Winger", but things like "we could get Isco with few more millions" is just stupid!
-
Moses and KDB? they are playing on the same positions as you already wrote.
-
I'll tell you the difference. United/City have 4 strikers when they play 2 in every game. That means they have another 2 on the bench. If one of the starting players is injured that means there is 1 left on the bench. When we have 6 AM's and we play 3, you can rest a player more because there are 3 players who arent playing regulary. Its very simple. I think what you suggested with "Hazard/Isco" is bizzar, you dont need so much quality on one position. You got to have at least some hierarchy in the team. i dont know about overkill, but 5 AM's is enough depth. Bayern have 5, Real have Modric, Kaka and Callejón but they arent playing so much (especially Kaka). All the teams have 3 players who are the regular starters.

You're wrong, i want Jose because i think he can make this squad play realy good football. This "what we are trying to do" thing that you mention quiet alot is not as simple as you might think, and it could mean alot of different things. Yes we brought Hazard, Mata and Oscar, but does it say we just have to go in this direction of "tiki taka" football and bring Pep? it is a possibility, a good one which i wouldnt mind at all and i would love us to play like that or anything that reminds that style, but its not the only possibility. And im not even talking about how wrong it is to bring the right manager for our current players and not the other way around like it needs to be. But, what im saying is that it isnt late- our squad as it is right now could go to different places- it only depends on the future manager and his philosophy, and the signings he will make. Our squad could turn into a Pep Guardiola's team, our squad could turn into a Jose Mourinho's team, and a Jurgen Klopp's team. Right now we are Rafa Benitez's team, and its closer to Jose's style than Pep's, just as an example. There isnt a real reason to think we are going directly towards Pep's style, expect the fact (1) we got some creative AM's lately ("we" means Michael Emenalo and whoever is in charge beside him), and (2) the big rumour in the media that Roman loves Pep and want us to play like Barcelona. Again, im not against it and i will be very excieted if he'll come, i just think it could go to different ways easily, just if we want to or if Pep dont want to come here (which is also possible imo). If you ask me why i preffer Jose than Pep? first i think Jose is a definite sucsses, and its something we need right now. I think we done alot of guessing lately (AVB, RDM), and bringing Pep is another one, with all the respect to him for what he did for Barcelona. Another thing is that i love Jose Mourinho's teams- the attitude, the commitment, the tactics, and i think that with the talent we have it could turn into something special. It wont be the same football that we played with him in the past, if thats what you scared of.
-
I just want us to be Jose Mourinho's team again, with everything it represents. Imo if he's coming here we'll control the league like we did in his first two seasons. He'll improve what we need to improve in the squad, he'll make the team look organized (finaly), we will immediately be the team with the "smartest", most solid tactics in the league (there isnt realy any competition with anybody else). Jose is a different level and he's a definite sucsses. Big plus: he will give some of our young players something they realy lack of... BALLS. His teams just have that attitude and motivation that i want in Chelsea again.

Real have Arbeloa (as an RB). Edit: nah Arbeloa is a descent defender. As for Isco, i guess i shouldnt care so much if he'll replace Marin in the summer and Marin will be sold, but still- if we are looking for someone to play at RW, i dont think he's what we need. in fact im ok with Moses and i think he could be the right player for this position next season too, but IF we are looking for someone, from what i've seen Isco is too similar to Mata and Oscar. I dont see the point behind it except the fact he's one of the best talents right not.
