Match Fixing - Did it affect us?
nadavTKL replied to We Hate Scouse's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Right now I belive to that source from Tancredi Palmeri twitter, i belive the fixed games in CL were preliminary games. It makes sense, no reason for those criminals to do that kind of stuff on the big stage, especially not in the semi finals of the biggest clubs tournament. -
Sissoko is great and i could have seen he'll be a big succses in England, but he's not the player we need in midfield, and we have a player with abilities that reminds his (Ramires). We dont need to go after every good player.

Look i like Anelka, and its just a brilliant move for him, but dont say its a smart move for Juve. If Juve were smart in their all "striker situation" they would have a top striker right now, Anelka isnt one for some years and you cant say he's better than what they already have. I know Juve fans and they are all angry about their management. For them Anelka is another try to "weakening" the failing of landing a top stiker, like they did with Bendtner last summer. Only difference is that Anelka is class, lets see if he could show some of it after so much time (last time he played outside China was more than two years ago, and in China he only scored 3 goals in 24 games).

No reason to spend alot of money in this window, this team still can and should get the 3rd spot, rafa is a joke and he should stop crying, the guy did almost nothing in three months, and got the team to look pathetic at times, Roman is 100% agree for not wanting to spend his money for Benitez's wishes. In the summer we'll have a new manager and we'll spend tons of money on players to complete our revolution in the squad. Right, we are lacking a CM right now when Mikel and Romeu aren't playing, but we shouldn't buy someone for 20-30 m when Benitez will probably make the call. If we could get someone good and cheap like Capoue so let's do it, otherwise no.

I dont think getting into the quarter finals will be enough for anyone in Real Madrid... Anyway, why listen to Independent, and when they are talking about a spanish club?
-
The number of times he fails to prevent one-on-one situations for the opposite's striker (especially in counter attacks)... i think its too much. Nobody talks about that but Cahill doesnt read the game so well when it comes to cover strikers, and prevent them from getting a crucial pass.
-
I didnt said you claimed they are all world class, by "nowhere near world class" i meant they are realy arent that good imo, and maybe City can do better then them (when your goal was to show how good City's squad is). Nasri stood out in Arsenal for like 4-5 months, not even a full season, since then he isnt showing he's a world class player. I thought he is myself, but he's continues to disappoints in City and i can see them getting a new AM soon. Sure he can pass and dribble, but thats not enough.
-
Nasri, Barry, Clichy, Balotelli- nowhere near world class imo. City's squad is very good, but they have problems. City not just did "not well" in the CL, they did terrible, especially this season. but i do think its not because of the players, its about Mancini who is an average tactican at best. With a top manager their football could look alot better.
-
Sorry but its pretty ridicilous that you're saying stuff like that based on stats and what some site listed him. I dont know myself if those sites are wrong because i havent seen him enough, but im definitely wont judge him by stats. For now i will listen more to the guy who saw him every game, but anyway i'll watch him more from now and see myself.
-
Im fine with him as a backup, but the question is who's you starting CB's. If Terry can push for another season in top level so i wouldnt hurry to get a new CB, but if he cant i would buy a starting CB instead of Luiz/Cahill, because you wont keep 5 CB's in a team.
-
I heard his tackels arnet bad, from someone who watched every game of him this season. For me he seems like a potential for the pivot, question is if he can get the job right away or we should buy someone.
-
Central midfielders in our system? we obviously need to change our central midfield, i wouldnt be worried about it because right now we are playing Ramires more than anyone in that position, and it doesnt work. The only question for me (i havent seen de Bruyne too many times, this was the 3rd or 2nd time) is if de Bruyne can play simillar to players like Gundogan, Kross when he playes deeper, because he does remind me of them.
-
In the last period of the game he played deep actually. And i dont think started has a false 9, it seemed like he was the number 10.
-
I think thats why he stayed- because he CANT go anywhere. Not many clubs would pay his wages, i think the only option for him was PSG, and they said they arent interested. I kind a predict he'll sign after i read about PSG... very good news anyway, Bertrand doesnt seem ready imo.
-
Shit, i wanted us to sign him as a replacment for JT... a young leader, fast CB, cheap, would be perfect for us even in the summer instead of Cahill.
-
where? if its twitter give me the account please.

It seems you still dont realy want to explain your original post (i mean the part about Moyes, and why Laudrup and Benitez are better options than Simeone). But anyway- no, AVB tried to play his style from Porto, not what "Roman wanted", Roman probably brought him because he knew about his football philosophy and he thought thats what he wanted in Chelsea. Simeone plays tottaly different football in Atletico, kind a reminds Mourinho's philosophy. RDM proved (imo) in his days that he doesnt have a real good plan, he started by playing Ramires/Bertrand on the wing- which is pretty defensive, probably not what "Roman Wants"... and than saw it doesnt work and played the three of Hazard, Mata and Oscar. Our game most of the time looked very improvised, with no real plan. So, i dont think RDM did what Roman wanted, he just didnt know what to do to lift the team and get it together. I havent thought he needed to get sacked, but it seemd he wasnt a great tactican (but maybe he would have done better later if he stayed, idk).
-
ok, so not every manager who won EL would have sucsses here, i got this point i think, what more? you've explained nothing in this post.
-
Because thats what the media told you?
-
Moyes, a manager who plays this Pro-English game with Everton (playes Fellaini as a CAM... my god) is the best option and Simeone who makes Atletico play with such great pressure at opponents, and he's a proven tactican who also won EL+Super cup, and got them to 2nd place in La Liga so far, is the worst? thats science fiction for me. Have you realy seen Atletico in the last year? And its coming from a Brazilian which is even weirder... i would love to know what you like in Moyes and dont like in Simeone. Edit: oh right Simeone is Argentine

Why should i care about sport pages? the reasons for not wanting to come to manage Chelsea are clear to everyone, but until it will happen and Roman will not be able to find a new, promising/proved and desired manager like he did so far, i dont see a reason to panic. Its only January, did you expect we'll reveal a new manager by now? When a manager comes to Chelsea he also knows he's gonna get load of money and have a chance to prove himself in one of the best clubs in the world, those are two things that are hard to resist. Im sure that there are top managers that will never agree to come to Chelsea, but im sure there are some who will. what 2 slogans? you dont think those are our goals for now? To lose the CL spot theres got to be two teams that are better than us, i dont see how Spurs+ Arsenal/Everton are better. What im saying is that for now, we are in the best position, but i didnt say it will be easy.
-
Seb havent said that, right, but he did said: "If I have to pick between Mikel's passing range and Hazard (improving) poor positional sense, I know what facet I'll aim first", when he also said in the same post "Mikel has barely good options ahead of him", so it sounds like he thinks that the problem is more about the AM's positioning. I think its about the two behind them. Now like i said the solution need to come from the CM next to Mikel, but my point is that Mikel's passing skills are not something to defend in this particular subject (like Seb did), because he doesnt offer any kind of solution.
-
What do you mean by "not attracting too many players" and "Managers are not knocking on Roman´s door", it sounds like some nice slogans and not much more. The only thing that realy happend lately is that Pep chose Bayern. "Players"? dont know anything about that, maybe your talking about Taison and Aspas? I also dont think something got to happen soon, the club's goals for the next months are: 1. Get a CL spot. Something we're still favourits to get, with this squad too. 2. Sign a new-very good manager (Mourinho, Klopp, Simeone), probably need to happen until June. If we wont be able to get those two goals, than we're probably in deep troubles for me.
-
You realy think that the problem is with our AM's? what do you expect from Hazard? to come back and get the ball from MIkel? he's a winger. Its a fact that we dont have a CM/DM who can pick passes as good as other top teams have (teams who plays simillar type of football), a Playmaker, and Mikel realy isnt close to be good enough in that. its not only about passing range, its about timing, its about his speed of thought in picking passes, its funny to even think its good enough to "Lead" our central midfield. But the biggest problem for me is with the midfielder besides Mikel, the ball should be played through this player, and we dont have one who can do that.
