Definitely, I agree. But I think 4 games in 12 days is a lot either way

I think I remember MVG saying something about talking to mou and them saying that he probably wouldn't start and play alot right at the beginning. He would be eased in to the team. Kind of reminds of what happens with Varane. So, I'm not too worried that he hasn't got any PT. Mou has also said that he will have to pick and choose when to play lamps so I am confused at why he's played so much at the beginning, but at some point I think MVG will slowly get more games and give lamps breaks Hopefully he'll be able to make a significant impact. I really want to see him at the WC too

I think that in the actual DM spot mikel would be behind de rossi and nobody else. He's alot better than essien in his role, is better than chalobah (who i think would benefit from guarenteed consistent games somewhere else) and is a whole lot better than lamps defensively who tends to leave us exposed sometimes. and ramires more attacking and making him hold would take away his best aspect with his speed. I am one who thinks that we need one midfielder holding so mikel and de rossi would easily be the best two for that position for us. That's why it would be reducing the quality of our midfield. Yes, it has improved this summer so far, but selling mikel would reduce it.

At about 0:18, he says "alot of nice bitches". Must have seen Eva :eyebrows:

Yes for me he did show promise in preseason, i was excited about him being a bargain for his low price. But he didn't really get down the line and cross, he seemed to always cut in and shoot and cut in pass. I only remember a couple of times he actually crossed the ball. It's a shame he turned out to show zero reason to even think about keeping him. I see him doing decent in spain, hopefully he takes navas' spot and gets regular time. Best of luck to him

I don't think that is a very good attitude about this to be honest. I'm not trying to berate you with this, but Just because he plays for napoli doesn't mean he isn't worth that much. Now in all honesty, he isn't worth near that amount, but in comparing him to the players being sold and bought now and recently, he is worth almost that much comparatively. Not sure why him having playing for arsenal and scoring goals for fun makes him worth so much more. He had two very good seasons with Palermo and now three, not two great seasons with napoli. Giggs and scholes still cut it in the premier at a very old age, so its not like only in italy are players still able to play at an old age. He might not be young but he also isn't old either. He is still has his best years ahead of him i think. You say that he doesn't have the potential to be special but for me, he is already special. He is agruably the best striker in world right now, if that's not special, i don't know what is. Now I'm not saying he worth that much, cause he isn't.

does anyone know or heard how the new away kit fits? I have this past years home jersey in a small but it's a little tight. i have the 2011-2012 home kit in a small and it fits well

not sure if this quote is real, but he said this according to ESPN: Mourinho coached the World XI team that Schurrle played in, and afterwards the player told MDR: "Of course I talked to him. He is my coach after all." http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/210642.html?CMP=chrome its at the bottom of the article. i would be really surprised if this didnt go through Edit: It is misleading, atleast for me it was. I believe he was talking about how mourinho was his coach on the night

Yea it absolutely takes awhile for the academy to really start producing talents. It's well known, for it to get built up. We started investing heavily five years or a little more ago and now is about the time that it should take for kids to start coming through. It's no coincidence that we have so many greats talents now compared to then. The quality of our players is on the rise and we have some the best talents in their age group at almost every level. Patience is key for kids and that holds true for building the academy also. I'm excited most about RLC Ake and chalobah right now. They all play in the midfield too. Not sure how it will pan out but I really do think 2 will make it. I do hope Ake makes it as a CB but his size is a little problem. If he can find a way to hide his size disadvantage to alot of forwards then I think he could be great there

This kid for me has the potential to be a Paul scholes type of player. He has the amazing vision, the ability to play perfectly placed long balls, and the intelligence. He also isn't the best at tackling, even tho it's prolly better than scholes. I want him to play cm because I see too much potential for him in there and could be the best in the world there if molded right. With that being said, it does take away his amazing crossing ability if he played there though. I believe instead of tackling he can fill in the passing lanes and be in the right spot defensively and cover his tackling abilities up. For me that is more important than tackling actually is

Andreas Christensen is in the squad according to Chelsea tv!! What a great moment for him, especially if he gets a few minutes

I'm in agreement with you that our fullbacks should be sound defensively and they certainly are. But united won the league with for me, two not good defenders at outside back. I thought evra was just really bad this year defensively, seemed only to care about getting forward. And Rafael for me was great the first half of the year but after that wasn't near as good. So I do think you can win the league with fullbacks who aren't great defensively but I'm happy we have defenders who are

man everytime anyone mentions one little bad thing about lampard, you are always there to try to prove them wrong. everyone has their downfalls and lampard certainly does too. i just feel like you go over the top with lampard all the time and it discredits your agruments. the stats for scholes and lampard are just pointless to compare because of how differently that they played. scholes was never the one to always score or always assist but dictated play incredibly. he ran the show for united on soooo many occasions even when he didnt get on the stat sheet. now lampard is one of my favorite chelsea players of all time, but im in agreement with LDN Blue that scholes is the greatest England midfielder of all time. As a midfielder scholes wass miles ahead of lampard, but as a scorer lampard is obviously far ahead.

http://youtu.be/hIrFck2sc10 This is just lovely and why football is greatest sport in the world. Zola at the end is soo funny too

I'm in agreement with @Leif here, he is somebody that seems a little forgotten but one reason is that he has been injured for so long. also, i agree that he can be great one day. he is one of the most comfortable players on the ball i have seen at his age for his position. he is so two-footed and some of his long balls are just delicious. His positioning i actually think is very good and one of his main attributes is his covering of the centerbacks when they are out of position. cant wait to see him improve and play more next season
-
Man i really hope so. Not sure if he does, but i guess the logic in my other post could go both ways with roman too. why re-hire a past manager if you dont think and want him to stay for awhile. My hope is that roman wants his heavy investment in youth teams to finally prosper and a consistent manager will help that. One can wish for this to happen and stay long term atleast
-
i know that its a stretch because we are chelsea and he is mourinho but to me, mourinho has changed. he's basicaly won everything, everywhere and it's about time to settle down. I dont see why he would join in a former club if he wasnt planning on it being for awhile. I see him really wanting to build a team not only for immediate success, but also for the future. if he wanted short term he would choose psg or a new challenge. like people have said, he's coming home. He loves us and everyone here, with a few exceptions, love him and thats what he wants. He does seem to have changed, and now i see the new challenge he wants as something that will last longer. the way he keeps talking about us, you can really tell he loves us
-
That's fine that you don't read the rest, I just stated the fact that he has been an important member of the team in the time we won a lot a trophies disproves that you said if he is an important player in the future we won't win anything. That logic is what doesn't make sense to me
-
That's a joke of a comment, he's been a key player through our most successful time in our history, with the most trophies. So that comment makes no sense. Now I'm not a real pro mikel or against mikel, I'm in the middle. I think he is just amazing at some things he does, and at others he needs to step up. He's been great at times this season and other games no where near good enough. I don't think our system fits him at all right now, a 4-3-3 would be better and if mourinho comes in the summer I can see him turning in to the player that Jose always wanted him to be. It's weird tho because he was THE best young attacking midfielder but Jose saw something that made him want to be dm and that affect has stuck to him. IF Jose comes I see him fulfilling his potential as a dm. He lacks some concentration at some points in ridiculous situations and he is sooo slow but one thing I think he does really well is not stop attacks from happening, but preventing them to. I think he does put himself in spots that clogs/blocks passing lanes or spaces where people would run in to. In the end I see him as someone that needs to improve as he could be oh so good, but I don't see him being replaced
-
His face when he missed the chance at the end, actually more like when de gea made the save of his life, was filled with sadness. He looked as if he was going to cry. This is probably my favorite thing about him, he has passion that you can't teach. He loves the club and he shows it every game. Such a great guy.

hes a great talent indeed and an amazing person also. truly hes the type of player everyone wants at their club

i am watching the west brom v swansea game now and i just got to the second half, but his first half performance was incredible. absolutely incredible hes proving everyone that doubted him wrong. his first touch was great in the first half, and so many times with a man on his back pushing him, he still kept it. he took his goal with class. made great contact off a tough ball in and buried it. he worked extremely hard too. he made so many good runs and didnt stop. i think he lost the ball maybe one time the entire half. he could have had a couple of assists off some balls that you would expect from mata. its scary how good he is getting and shows what some playing time and confidence can do for you. i noticed his teammates attitude has changed a little towards him. in the beginning, its not like they tried to get him the ball in the box more often but now they give it to him at basically every opportunity as he always keeps it and always gets it back to a teammate, it doesnt matter if hes under pressure. its a shame he missed his pen but it honestly doesnt change anything for me. it's not his goal that caught my eye, but everything else he did. it was an amazing performance. if he plays like he did in the first half all the time, he would honestly get in to any team in the world. and from the first while in the second half, it is no different.

i'm pretty sure the article just said that bayern will have 86 to spend in the summer and might use some of it to buy neymar. its all bs anyways, all stupid media speculation
-
well i meant how many times he fouled the other team, but yes he does get fouled quite alot
