  1. messi is the best of his generation. what i dont understand is how everyone talks about ronaldo, ronaldinho, pele, maradona, messi, scholes, and other all time greats without putting zinedine zidane in to the conversation. i saw one person in the thread put him in to the talk but to me he is the greatest ever. give respect to this guy
  2. This has probably already been asked and answered but why were benayoun and kale not even on the bench?
  3. anyone else think that we wont announce him officially on our website until the benayoun situation is worked out because of this number 10? i want to keep him but i have a feeling he is going to leave if we bring anyone else in
  4. Don't know if this has been posted but thought its worth posting His reaction was hilarious. Seems like he'd be fun to be around
  5. He's looked really sharp on the ball. Good passes, worked defensively well and isn't afraid to get stuck in on a challenge. He did get a yellow but ive really liked what Ive seen so far
  6. so are you only going by your friends opinion? i didnt watch the game, but from what i heard the whole team was bad..
  7. he is the best player in a long time that has come out of our acedemy. he has the composure of someone so much older than him and the way he can keep possesion of the ball is tremendous.
  8. ok, thats good that he can do that to a team. thank you
  9. Welcome! i do have one...what kind of football did porto play pre-AVB? did he change the way they played?
  10. Beyond excited about him just like everyone else, but i dont follow porto at all...so does anyone know what kind of football they played pre-AVB? i just want to know if he transformed porto to attacking football and if he can do the same type of thing for us
  11. btw exaggerating is also unlawful. im a ref and even tho i dont ref massive games, its still in the rule book
  12. they could be great. im scared for clifford's future tho. idk just how much the club rates him, but i hopes its high because he could be immense the club obviously has high hopes for mceachran and chalobah tho. it seems they have made chalobah's development a high priority.
  13. and now it says "Then stripped naked and placed in the Big Brother house before completing a 10000000000000000000 million pound move to Hull City." haha
  14. not reliable. it also says we sold him to real madrid for 75 million euros....so its not true
  15. had hopes for him a while back but he has gone downhill. its good to get some money for him
  16. i was talking to a few guys on my brothers soccer team and they have actually played against mceachran. they were all man u fans...but they said that he was amazing and made all of them look like theyve never played before. they kept going on and on about how gifted he was and how they have never seen anyone who could pass like him. they also said he was a nice guy and they couldnt understand how level-headed and calm he was about his ability.
  17. i know that there probably have been other topics about player of the season, but i want to do the top three for defense, midfield, and forward in a format kind of like this... Defense: 1) John Terry- played like a true chelsea captain should even through injury 2) Ivanovic- Solid no matter if he played center or right back 3) Ashley Cole- wasnt himself for some of the season, especially going forward but was always solid at the back. thought for the most part we played pretty good defense, but cech saved us on alot of occasions. Midfield: 1) Ramires- A lot of people didnt have faith in him at the beginning but in my opinion was our best midfielder this season. 2) Lampard- Wasnt the same lampard after his injury but still managed to score a good amount for the number of games he played 3) Essien- He was bad this season but i cant think of someone who did better... our midfield was poor this season Forward: 1) Kalou- this might raise some eyebrows, but i thought he was good this season. he did well when he came on as a sub and on a few occasions proved he could do well from the start. for me the most improved player from last season. 2) Drogba- it was between him and kalou for first, but i chose kalou. i know he had malaria, but he was poor for a large part of the season, he showed up too late and still was really inconsistent then. 3) Was anyone else any good at all?????????? forwards were also not good enough. the midfield didnt do well enough to get them the ball sometimes, but the forwards were also at fault.
  18. i think that neymar was playing in behind aguero and torres. so with that we would be playing with 2 forwards
  19. pato has averaged about a goal every 2 games the past 2 seasons... but i do agree with you. i want a long term coach also and carlo doesnt seem like that guy
  20. the difference in our two teams is teamwork. we dont work as a team well enough. we need to gel. thats why we havent been the same as last year. last year we put it together and everyone played for the team and not for themselves, this year is different
  21. cech - 9 - proved why he is the best goalie in the world. he saved us cole - 6 - he got forward when he could, but nothing too special. terry - 5 - his lack of speed is showing some but he knows how to make up for it. decent, not terrible but had trouble with kenwyne luiz - 4 - definitely his worst game with us. got beat far too easily a few times. had one good pass to ivanovic near the end. boss - 6.5 - thought he was very good going forward, but did get caught out a couple times. i dont why everyone thought he was so bad, i though he was alright ivanovic - 6 - he came on for defensive stability and to help with aerial balls. kind of seemed like carlo was hoping to get out of there without a loss malouda - 1 - doesnt deserve to see the field. why is he still playing? he did absolutely nothing. and there were so many times in the second half that there a man behind ashley cole wide open...and thats where he needs to be. they almost scored a few times because of that. lampard - 4 - bad day for him essien - 5 - didnt do too much for me. got stuck in on a few tackles ramires - 8 - i thought he was our best player besides cech. im not sure why he got taken off, maybe for man u on wednesday. as soon as we took him out, we couldnt seem to keep possesion of the ball. kalou - 4 - he tried to push too far forward so there was no outlet to pass the ball to on the right anelka - 5 - he is just too lazy for me Drogba - 7 - it was the tale of two halves. he was outstanding in the first but the second he didnt do much at all torres - 6 - i thought he looked really lively when he came on. he was full of energy and ran down balls and players to force mistakes. he also did some good stuff with the ball. one thing tho....be a little bit more selfish haha
  22. if torres and Drogba cant work together i dont see how jones and torrres could. i do really like kenwyne tho. very good at what he does
  23. absolutely love this guy! so amazing, just scared he dives in a little too much but he'll mature thru that hopefully
