i disagree with this. Oscar- pass first, shoot second, dribble third Hazard- i would say that passing and dribbling are about the same, he is very mature and dribbles when needed. and shooting third. Mata- i would say that he is pass first, then shooting and dribbling is about the same the thing is though, none of them dribble just to dribble. they do it to open up space and create something. i dont see any of them as dribble first or see any pointless dribbling by them but they all have the ability

his touch from oscars ball for our second goal was amazing. the way he took it out of the air and kept in play was tremendous. he has to have one of the best touches in the league

I just want to ignore the referees god awful game and talk about our team. Today was the attitude of champions. This is the most proud ive been all season of our boys and they deserve an applause. The spirit they showed to fight back from 2-0 down was incredible. Even after ivanovic being sent off we were still better than them, until the second red card. We stuck together through the referees decisions and didnt just give up. We fought on and tried to get something out of the game. Especially if the abusive language thing is true then it is even more amazing that they didnt let it affect their mental state. I really feel our squad is close to each other and this will bring them closer. Our performance was amazing and i love this team. :clap:

Players like yaya toure piss me off. he could be one of the best players in the world if it wasnt for his shit mentality. he has one of the worst attitudes and is one of the laziest players that i watch. He is still a great player, don't get me wrong, but if he worked harder (especially defensively) he would easily be one of best players in the world

Really i would just love to have dzeko. hes underrated by so many and i think he is a great forward

im not sure lampard will be playing, but against man u we will need leaders in general. as someone else said im scared that we will go down by one and we will collapse. I just hope someone will take the game by the scruff of its neck and take it to man u (like mata did against tottenham). someone doing this expels confidence through the entire team and that is essential

it's embarrassing he isnt get more gametime, but i do think that he is going to start getting me. i see no problem with him not starting against shaktar seeing as he just came back from injury so i doubt he is completely match fit. but i think he should be coming on earlier during games. hes been a real catalyst the last couple of games and he deserves to showcase what hes got

this is guy is so exciting and you can tell he is progressing very nicely. i agree that his future position is at cm and ive said in the past that his passing abilities do remind me a bit of paul scholes. in preseason you could tell he was eager to impress but he was really nervous and tried a bit too hard at times. for me i do think he is lampard's replacement. even tho he is a different type of player, i think whether it be next season or in a few he will take lampards spot in the roster. one of my favorite players to watch right now.

i agree with everything here. mentality is always key in making it at the top level. you can have all the talent in the world but with no sense of the game, you will get no where

excellent point there. and that's why it's up to our defenders talking and midfielders to be more aware. i thought we were bad in that department against shaktar and one of the main reasons we lost. but i agree if we do mark rooney out of the game he will most like come really deep to get the ball and there be very less effective as i'm sure oscar will be helping (tremendously as usual defensively) and then he will be in front of mikel and ramires

the one thing i am worried about is rooney. i thought that our double pivot left a little too much room last game and that willian went in between our defenders and double pivot all too easily. i saw numerous times that he would just drop in there and do what he wanted with the ball. this is not just the double pivots fault, even though they do need to be more aware, but the defenders need to be more vocal and tell them where they need to mark. simple things such as LEFT! LEFT! or something, cause they can't always see right behind them. im scared rooney is going to exploit this area and it will hurt us. ive been trying to keep my expectations low this season because i do think it is a transition year and the games against arsenal and tottenham ive said i dont think we will win and we have; so i am going to stick to that and hope we again prove me wrong.

im not sure if this has been discussed or mentioned at all, but talking strictly about the transition of our team, di matteo has been beyond vital. i think that he won so much respect from the players last year in his accomplishments and how he went about things, that it earned the right to lead this team through our transition phase. One thing i think that has been overlooked is that if it was a new manager coming in and trying to make all of the changes suddenly that it would have upset the changing room. I'm not sure that the players would have been ok with that and player power would have taken to big of a role in things. I think the respect he earned from the players gave him the ability to rid of bosingwa, kalou, meireles, essien, dropping ferreria and malouda to reserves, etc with minimal fuss from players. i think that it was essential it was rdm because of that fact that it gave the players a sense of continuity and not just some new manager trying to implement his ways. people underestimate the importance of the dressing room, its mood, and how the players feel about the manager; and right now rdm obviously has got it on his side. also, he got us transitioning slowly in to a new, more attacking team. he started off the season with atleast one defensive winger every game. that was his rule of thumb last year also. even tho at points i was mad at us not using our players abilities at our disposal i think it was essential to slowly transition for the team, especially for the defenders. the more attacking way of playing effects defenders way more than people realize. they might have to play higher up, they might be caught on the break more, they may need either stay back more, or join in the attack more. i think the slow transition was important in maintaining our defensive shape and record and that worked; we have barely conceded many goals. so to answer the question on if he is the right man to take Chelsea forward; he was the right and for me, due to this reasoning, the only man to lead Chelsea in to the transition phase. i dont know about long term because it always depends on results, but i hope he continues to perform at his job as he is now; exceptionally

yea he was one of my favorite players last season to watch. his dribbling just comes easy and if he can utilize it to its full potential we have a special player on our hands.

its not hard to change kicking the ball extra far or making a simple short pass. its not like he has a bunch of pressure on him at these times. that being said the defenders have to make themselves available

i no people have a soft spot for him since he came thru here and they think hes the one that got away ( OT:borini is the one that got away). sinclair is not that good... he is just an average winger, with potential to become better but not great. yes he scored like 20 goals in the championship and then like 8 or somen close to that this season but i think over half were from the pk spot. and anyways, he does nothing special on the field, average in almost every respect. downing type signing imo

i wish he was as good as valencia. valencia is the best winger in the premier league. the work he does defensively and offensively is incredible, he would be the perfect player for us but it wont happen ive always been in favor of getting moses tho Positive - he causes so much havoc for defenses - he's someone who will give us a different dimension which will be important to change games - he's direct, and quick - he expressed his desire to come play here to whelan, so he has ambition - relatively cheap - homegrown Negatives - decision making needs to improve but it will come with time - hopefully we dont hamper his development if he comes - does leave us short on experience in the team, but we should be able to cope pros outweigh the cons heavily for me, but i no since i want him that it skewed it that way

I know that this is a stretch, but ive realized something lately and everyone i have talked to about it says it makes sense... is it just me or are the players we have been signing lately not only good players, but good people? -Ramires, oscar, torres, mata, cahill- they all seem like quiet guys that are actually really nice -kdb, marin, courtois, lukaku, romeu- they do talk to the media a good amount but seem extremely mature and know what they want and how chelsea will help -hazard- he is viewed by the media as a egotistical guy, but he really isnt -meireles- im not real sure how to judge him -luiz- the guy is crazy but he is hilarious and having people like him helps the dressing room i know that we have bought players like drogba and essien that give so much to other people, but pretty much all of players recently seem to fit this category it just seems to me like we have been buying players who are not only good, but also likeable. im not sure if the board is trying to get our club a better reputation or make us more likeable, but if thats what they are doing, i think its working. it will help people who arent fans respect the team as mature adults and not hate us just cause the players wont make as many stupid decisions off the field. i hope if this what they are trying to do that they keep this philosophy.
