I'm wondering if this meant instead that he doesn't have permission, or the paperwork to play? Meaning we haven't completely signed him or something like that

https://vimeo.com/134870690 Not sure if this will pop up right but this was his penalty from my view in the stadium. Class.

That's a very good point actually. He really is more of a box to box, so it could be more of a play beside matic position. But we would lose a good amount of creativity from deep if that was the case. And he doesn't exactly fit the no. 10 either. Now it could feasibly work for him and fabregas in a 4-3-3 style. Our formation is pretty fluid as it is, so it wouldn't be too big of a deal. I think his best asset is his runs from deep, which can cause all sorts of confusion and problems for the defense. In saying that, I think he's best as a box to box, but I think we would lose from creativity.

What did Martinez say earlier? I can't find it anywhere

Actually I would bet there are a ton of people on here that have seen him more than 5 times, myself included. Now I have not seen many of his club games since he's gone to Russia, but have watched him plenty of times for Benfica and the Belgian NT. (by the way, there are a lot of Belgian members on this forum, so I don't understand why you would think anybody would have seen him play) And just to let you know, he's not really a defensive mid. Much more of a box to box of sorts. He can do a job at defensive mid, but he is better when he has a little more freedom.

Very interesting view point. I definitely understand it, but I also can see the other side too. I personally think Zouma should be starting over Cahill anyways. The question that I would like to know is if we do get Stones, what ends up happening with him and Zouma. Would we be willing in a couple of years when Terry really declines to start both Stones and Zouma? Is that too young and inexperienced to start together? I think in those two years that both would be good enough individually to start for us. I don't see either being happy sitting on the bench all the time. I rate them both extremely high.

Who is the guy behind hazard? I can't figure out who it is

Yes, thank you! I posted in another how people are freaking out about transfers when a week ago, nobody in England had made many, if any signings. A whole lot can change in a week or so. Patience.

Half of this has happened in the past few days. Schweini just happened, sterling just happened, Schneiderlin has just recently been all towards Man U. In fact, Sterling and Schneiderlin aren't even official. No need to hit the panic button.

Yea that's how it works...

The quotes from the "source" said that as it stands he won't be leaving. And the quotes from the president of the club said we want 15 mil for him. Then in some random place they wrote mikel is part of mou's plans this season. Looks to me like they just made up the part that "Jose blocks the move". Looks to me that if we put a 15 mil price on him, we are more than willing to sell...

Appreciate it

Can I get mine changed to Miguelito?

Who is above him? I would put Aguero (when he's actually fit), Suarez, lewandowski, and maybe ibra (but not sure about this one)

How does it undermine the 1st amendment? That is separation of church and state. If the reason you believe that gay marriage should be illegal for everyone is because it's against your religion, then that is the opposite of separation of church and state. (That is the reason I've heard most often as to why it shouldn't be legal). I believe gay people should have the same rights as me no matter what. Even if the majority of people in the USA were against its legalization, that doesn't mean that's what the government should do. That's called tyranny of the majority. All people deserve equal rights.

If it's his hamstring again, it probably wasn't mikel's fault. Muscle tears are usually never caused by contact. He had his shoe off in the picture, so guessing it's not his hamstring. Hopefully just some studs to the foot and it'll be bruised and then go away
-
It wasn't just that it was a stupid foul (which I think it clearly was). It was his nonchalant-ness in how he lost the ball too. He shouldn't lose the ball like that. Either let it out for a corner or kick it wide. If you can't clear it easily out or to the side, you concede a corner. Simple defending. Something he has a lot of trouble with at times.
-
No way, he wouldn't analyze anything or devise a plan. He would just use he same style he always does and just attack. No need to analyze since he will do the same thing no matter what.

I care. Some people, me included, don't like MJ that much because of his attitude and the things he did. Also I really really have no respect for tiger because of the exact same reasons. I don't like Alex Rodriguez for his constant lies and cheating. I know tons of other people who feel the same way about these players and more. I'm actually the type of person that actually cares about that attitude and how they treat the game we all love and how they treat their teammates that put everything on the line. I'm not saying don't have any type of ego, but it's time for him to grow up. His ego is on a whole other planet.

I will never forget that crazy touch at about the 50 second mark of this video. Knocked it in to the ground and over the other players head. Class.

I didn't think he was that great yesterday. I thought he got beat around his corner on numerous occasions. I thought azpi on the other was just brilliant. Obviously like you all stated before, he was targeted, but there were atleast 3 or 4 times he should have been punched in more and then the ball went between him and Cahill. Then I also remember one time when drogba was back helping him defend and someone (forget who) just blew by drogba and iva literally just walked at the corner of the 18 and didn't do anything. Should have doubled up on the attacker with the ball with drogba or run to the middle to help defend the incoming cross. So I agree he is bound to make a mistake with being targeted and us playing the way we did, but don't think he was anywhere near motm. He was better than usual, but still not where we need our starting RB to me.

Completely misunderstood then. Thought you meant from the USA. Apologies

Fair enough, even though I don't know any real passionate international fans. The only time they care is in the World Cup and even then, it's not that big of a deal.
