  1. i`ll have to think about it but i`ll be looking for quality over quantity. someone who doesn`t come on here to just amuse themselves but wants to add something good to the community. someone who tries to be civil to all members.
  2. seen it all before. nothing to worry about. no injuries after 4 pre-season games during a summer where most of the squad were on/are on international duty in major tournaments at the end of a longer than ever season for us. one step closer to full match fitness. reasons to be cheerful. nothing more to say in this thread for me.
  3. is not like we`ve won anything with that kind of player before..
  4. Valderama and Luiz. there`s a Vosene advert somewhere down the line..
  5. we are the conquerors of europe. they couln`t even conquer their own city. we make up the rules. :blue scalf:
  6. if they want to pay £30m on a Brazilian U23 bench warmer to play a position they are already deep at but thin elsewhere. it`s nothing a Chelsea fan should be worried about. Brazilians bought by Chelsea- Luiz,Ramires,Oscar,Alex,Piazon,Thome Brazilians bought by Man ure-Kleberson,Andersen,Rafael,Fabio..Lucas(?) need i say more?
  7. same with Ashley..the rest of England hate JT,Ashley and Lamps but heaven help them when they have to try and cope without them. they may not be able to win tournaments with them but they would get humiliated without them. that time is coming..
  8. whilst i would have been fine with him staying ..it seems like he`s never really been given a chance. he`s worn the badge with pride in the few games he`s played but a move away seems the best for him. another succesful loan out that came to nothing in regard to a player getting a chance with CFC.
  9. i think that is in part due to them often playing more games in the pro`s at a younger age than most other nations. e.g. say the average length of a professional footballers career is 12 years..English players often don`t get to play until they are 21 so are still going strong till the age of 33. where as brazilians often are playing professional football in senior sides at 17 so often are burnt out at 29. that`s just my thoughts on why it is anyway. it`s a valid point that they often burn out at younger ages than players from other nations, in particular europeans.
  10. i can`t remember the exact words he used but Zola once said something along the lines of "i would have learnt english quicker if it wasn`t for that crazy midget"(Dennis Wise)
  11. it may be something they do with the younger player. takes alot to adjust to a new country, more so if young and not that far removed or previously living at home with parents, siblings etc..the language barrier and cultural changes etc... Chelsea have a good record of their previous non-english speaking players learning the language quickly. Tevez apparently still doesn`t speak english after something like 6 years in the country..although i should imagine get off the bench you ugly snaggle toothed cunt is something he`d understand. but learning english fluently enough to have a good relationship with your team mates is gonna take time. as a secondary reason for signing players it`s not the worst idea. but only in the case of younger players. Branislav didn`t need such luxuries because he is The Terminator! his stare alone says get out of my way or i`ll fook you up.
  12. i don`t know for sure but i would expect so. Petr Cech can speak something like 9 different languages i believe. we could use him or we could just use an interpretor for such things which we probably have on our staff already or we should have. i`d rather us use someone who doesn`t take one of the 17 allowed foreign player spots to be the interpretor.
  13. ah my twin. we picked the same ins and outs.. as a side note. there was a girl from wick in pirbright with me when i done my basic training..her name escapes me but she was blonde and fiesty as fook. i remember it used to take her about 14 hours on the train to get home for weekend leave. two day leave and 28 hours of that spent on a train. i applauded her dedication.
  14. 11 the number worn by some greats in our history , the tragically killed young Peter Houseman and the bonnie prince Charlie Cooke(both at times wore the shirt) , Dennis Wise,Damien Duff,Didier Drogba. it`s a number Oscar is worthy of wearing . if this kid flops at Chelsea i will not only eat my hat i will shit it out and eat it again.
  15. @ younameit we aren`t all doing anything it`s a forum with varied opinions on everything including Hulk.
  16. F.A have become as corrupt as FIFA and UEFA. they should be put on trial. bunch of fuckin media whores. glad i don`t spend thousands every year following England anymore since Chelsea been playing in europe ..i get to see a good english team in europe .European Champions something the current F.A will never be able to say about themselves .
  17. you start that post with terrible logic. i guess that must have been the headline to your post after what followed. Branislav is the starter RB who covers CB. CB is a position where atleast 2 players take the field. the starting 2 of Luiz and Terry often get injured and miss games. so we have Cahill of course i haven`t forgotten him. have you forgotten that despite having Cahill, Bran had to go back to playing CB at times last season as he had to in previous years when we had Alex.. 1viable option in a defensive position is not enough. again when he also covers the CB. we have multiple options who can fill in at RW. it`s not as important to have a dependable player at RW than it is RB nor CB. we won the European Cup and F.A.cup. without what you would class as a true RW. you really haven`t seen Oscar very often i understand that so don`t go around bippin`about what he can and can`t do. you are mistaken. De Bruyne can either stay or be recalled from loan. a right footed winger being unable to play the right wing. of course they can. it`s not all about cutbacks and shooting on your inside foot. whilst LW may be their better position of the two that`s not to say they can`t be relied upon to do a job on the RW. RB is the more pressin` need.
  18. well somewhere amongst Chelsea, blow jobs and marmite. erm where was we..oh yes Azpi.. top drawer RB. saved the thread..hooray for me.
  19. @ CFC Lucas no worries mate,as you didn`t get it i do understand why you`d take it like that. as a side note that happened on the "ides of march" the 15th March. the same date as the first ever Test match in cricket was played and my birthday. tho not in the same year..
  20. if he didn`t say those things then all is good.atleast not the stuff that sounded like the words of a player that had got ahead of himself. i haven`t liked when senior players have behaved in that way,so it was nothing personal against the young man himself.. Werder Bremen i think would be a great place to loan him to. i would prefer him to stay around as a squad member but if he has to go on loan somewhere it`s hard to find anywhere better for him.
  21. Dzeko is a good alternative. not sure if Man City would be willing to sell to us..they are probably already nervous about facing us with whom we have already signed but might think aslong as we don`t have a reliable striker they can fend us off for the title. he is a player i still rate highly tho.
  22. we have a Rb who is cover for the CB position too. who happens to be just one player so if he went down we`d be in trouble at both the RB and CB position. JT and Luiz have shown that they can rarely go on a stretch without missing time through injuries. we have options for RW/RM Oscar is probably gonna start there atleast until Lampard retires or goes "missionary" to the states. then there`s other options like Ramires,De Bruyne,Hazard if needs be.and Marin ..they both may prefer the left flank but they have played out wide and are right footed so shouldn`t be a problem. .
  23. we miht get away with Oscar and Oriol for now because they aren`t 21 yet. but Oscar is 21 in september so i don`t know. it`s certainly tight if not already over.
  24. @ Cap. chronic insomniac. that`s an early night for me..i did have my second longest stretch without sleep about 3 weeks ago..it lasted 6 days. after a day or two i go high so it tends to make it even harder to sleep. a tell tale sign of when i`m high is when you see me type out really long posts. alas i couldn`t sleep when i tried so will leave it till tonight now. @bluesmaster i`m not one of those who think we can give up on experience but i think even with those departures we would have enough as i`m not just thinking of the few you mentioned. altogether i count Cech,Hilario,Ivanovic,JT,Cole,Meireles,Essien,Lampard,Torres, that`s 9players who have plenty of experience. then there`s the young veterans with ample experience to not need a veteran around to guide them on how to be pro`s. the likes of Cahill,Luiz,Mata,Ramires,Mikel.Marin. add Oscar,Hazard, and two others. if they are foreign players we are looking at 15 foreign players plus Oriol who will count as foreign before too long.16. if we keep Malouda,Ferriera &Yossi. unless my calculations are wrong we are 2 over the allowed 17 foreign players in our 25. so atleast 2 foreign players have to leave.or just watch from the stands whilst collecting a large salary. if we have to let go of players who are foreign, which ones go ahead of Ferreira,Malouda and/or Yossi.?
