  1. it`s just not done because it`s stupid to think 3 games is long enough for the club loaning a player to show the season long intentions for a player.there could be multiple reasons for them not yet picking him to have a big part in yet again, the first 3 games of a season. but I can pretend to agree with you if you like as I do have better things to do on a Saturday night.
  2. thanks for the guidance..i only discovered football this afternoon. seriously tho..the reasons you give for Chelsea not cancelling the loan are not correct, nobody cancels a loan after 3 games of a new season.maybe in 3 months but never after 3 games. Chelsea are not even considering it atall at this point.nothing to do with good business practice.
  3. the club chose to loan him out..3 games into the season I doubt if they are considering cancelling the loan because as inpatient as they can sometimes be,they are as patient as chess players in comparison to some of our fans.
  4. hopefully he will get more game time over the course of the season. it`s way too early to say either way just yet.but I`m not surprised by any severe lack of patience when logging into TC anymore..
  5. I`m not gonna say "fuck John Stones" because he`s acting like a classy young pro by not demanding a transfer. it doesn`t mean he`s refusing to join us,it doesn`t mean we can`t get him. just because he hasn`t as yet or may not hand in an official transfer request. such a thing is not legally binding to force a move to another club.the club can still refuse a move when a player is under contract. Everton are dragging their feet as they sign other CB`s. if we continue our interest I think we will eventually get him..probably next week but if not then, then in the winter window.
  6. Couldn't we make it 75m if they agree to take Cuadrado..
  7. sell or part exchange Moses but nothing to be gained from loaning him.
  8. No "Eiffel tower" type comment this time is interesting.. he also apparently said earlier in the season that we had no room for Pedro..opinions are changing. I see Cuadrado as a loan deal being mentioned as their only interest in him.but I see the previous desire of Juve like most clubs in Italy these days wanting to loan players with even a moderate fee as just being that they don`t want to part with the money that a transfer fee would command. which in a part exchange deal it wouldn`t. I`d like to have Pogba..in particular if we want to play a 4-3-3..but it`s not at the cost of players like Oscar or Willian.we need them for balance of our team for that formation and others.and by strengthening our squad by buying Pogba would then be weakened again if we let any of those 2 go...I could live with Ramires being part of the deal and absolutely love Cuadrado being shipped out. but I would prefer us to either go high on the transfer fee with Cuadrado thrown in or leave the chase and either look elsewhere or promote from within. RW and RB has been our problem positions above CM. I`d like to have Pogba but not at any cost in way of losing other needed players.
  9. I don`t think Jose sees CB as being a position we have to get someone in at. it`s more about him seeing Stones as a player who will be a key member of the team in the future with the added bonus of being able to compete now rather than what position he plays. like they say during the NFL draft..good teams don`t draft the position they draft the player.
  10. i just typed a really post then all about Merkel, damn. i didn`t sleep very well last night..i go a lil dyslexic at such times..
  11. we got a nice addition for all our upfield positions..mostly at RW but also i think Hazard doesn`t have to be worked into the ground like before because we had no real other option at LW even against the weaker teams. i like the combo option of Pedro or Willian at RW but also the fact we can at times play both..(and or Hazard/Oscar) can`t wait to see him in full flow for us in a few weeks. smart player who reads the game well and will be a boost for Cesc to have somebody who has good chemistry with him to see where Cesc wants to play the ball before he plays it. Pedro is a true pro too and that`s always a good quality. no unwanted drama with him. can`t believe we got him for less than Cuadrado..
  12. according to SKY sports via Bild..Willian`s agent been offering him out to Bayern and PSG..probably bullshit. and I hope so. Cuadrado and Moses gotta be gone not Willian. correction edit: it was TZ Online..not Bild.
  13. @ Oscar. (i can`t quote on here) they chose not to keep Makalele...those who make the decisions..whoever it was it means the same result..i`m sure there were players who didn`t want to see Mata,De Bruyne,Ballack,Cech etc... leave us but they did because it`s not their decision. sometimes managers, sometimes presidents, owners etc.. my point was good to great players leave great clubs all the time. and it`s not always because they are no longer good enough like was stated above by others.
  14. to go back to the original question..quality..maybe elsewhere. but quality viewing England and Germany are above Spain,Italy etc..
  15. i`ve been to many NFL games including the supposedly most vocal like Arrowhead and the Linc in Philly. and been to about 250 football grounds throughout Europe, about 80 in England (and Wales). in the NFL grounds it`s just noise really..their chants if you can call them such or like the fucking brady bunch wrote them..."here we steelers, here we go.." etc..when a TD is scored there`s loud cheering.but they just don`t do the singing, chanting, comedy like we do in Football college football, fans in America are closer to atmosphere of European football crowds.
  16. Makalele was seen as surplus to requirements at Real Madrid. and became a key member in our back to back titles whilst they floundered. great teams discard good and sometimes great players all the time. we have done it ourselves. reading too much into it whichever way you look at it...there`s no pattern to be found that dictates if this is a good signing or not until he`s played a season or two for us.
  17. I`d normaly say,sit him and let him get a week or two under his belt getting to know his team mates ,building an onfield chemistry but if the other option is Cuadrado or Moses I`d rather role with Pedro before he`s had chance to settle. ideally we have Willian on the RW if Bran is still in the team for West Brom.
  18. maybe he has been seen at a London airport again....I must be joining most the clubs in Europe and America if my flying activities were so closely watched..
  19. I don`t believe there is a law that states all transfer requests from players must be shared with the media. behind closed doors he may have already said he would like to join Chelsea. it may just not be his style to use the media to get what he wants, which when we are talking about a player we wish to sign as a longterm player,is a good quality to have. rather than a case of him having no ambition. Martinez has alluded to the fact that Stones is interested in us if you read between the lines. we handled this transfer badly from the start and have been playing catch up ever since.we pissed off Everton and they are therefore playing harder ball that they would have..but I think we will get him eventually.
  20. he`s gonna be bringing his A-game when we play Man U after that.
  21. he will at the very least be a good option off the bench even tho I expect him to start plenty of games..with Cuadrado I have the same feelings I had when Torress came off the bench. like we have just had a player sent off and down to 10 men. I don`t think I or we will get that feeling with Pedro.
  22. Jose isn`t going to give up or admit he was wrong about Falcao so soon. which would mean it`s Loic who gets the boot. unless we aim to use him as cover for Wing aswell as CF a sort of replacement for what Schurrle offered us and let both Cuadrado and Moses leave with the imminent arrival of Pedro. then decide between Remy and Bamford who will be the 3rd striker next season.when Falcao is off the books.
  23. to get back onto the topic of Pedro. I`m not entirely sure if he`ll be a good fit (every transfer is a risk and I have doubts even Messi would be a success with us) I certainly would rather see him on the field than Cuadrado..who we may even be able to sell for around the same fee we are paying for Pedro with the way he`s still seemingly rated by some of the clubs in Italy. he is atleast pleasing on the eye and has some skills to play more than one position.
