  1. I'd actually say that Meireles had a good start to his Chelsea career and got worse as the season progressed. Anyway, he was one of the first players I wanted to see gone this summer, but nonetheless, it was a shocking decision to let him go this late without any proper replacement. I guess what led the club to do that was that Meireles, a mediocre 29-year-old midfielder, had 4 years left on his contract, but still. Will we miss him? I hope not. It all depends on how our remaining players do. I don't think Meireles had a whole lot to offer, but he still gave us a decent option in the midfield, and judging by his performance against Newcastle, I think he deserved a chance to prove that he could solve our midfield problems.
  2. Fenerbahce fans are excited enough they're making a song for him? He isn't that good, though. Anyway, I don't think there's any substance to that rumour.
  3. Off-topic, but that's a nice jersey. Molecule, lol.
  4. I wholeheartedly agree. Even though I think Duppy Conqueror's been one of the better posters, because there is ABSOLUTELY nothing worse than merely suggesting the possibility of the return of Drogba I think he should be banned. FOREVER. Yes, that would be very appropriate.
  5. How much did Spurs spend on Lloris? Seems like a wasteful bit of business considering they have Friedel and Gomes although I've heard Gomes is shit now.
  6. Surely, he can't sign for another club if he's currently in Monaco...? Unless, he's destined for AS Monaco that is.
  7. Me, too. I was expecting a shitstorm, and I suppose I was right to a certain extent, but it hasn't been as bad as I expected.
  8. I don't understand why Mikel's getting so much criticism. He was fine in my opinion. He did very well to wriggle his way out of trouble and push up when needed to. The downside of that, of course, was that it left our defense vulnerable, but not much else he could do since we were down two since very early in the match.
  9. That was the worst performance I've seen since Sunderland (I deliberately didn't watch the Newcastle and Liverpool games last season because they were pointless). Thankfully, despite what some other members make it out to be, that wasn't an important match at all, and I'll gladly take today's loss if it means we learned something valuable against a strong side that will benefit us in other more important competitions. Anyway, credit where it's due; Falcao and Atletico were immense today, and Simeone's tactic was spot on. It's a bit ironic, though, that we tried to dominate the possession while they did what we did against Barcelona. Taste of our own medicine, I guess. Yuck.
  10. Mikel wasn't that bad today. He had a lot to do, so he struggled, but so did the rest of the team, and there were a few players who did far worse than he did.
  11. Slowly filling Bosingwa's shoe, is he? He shouldn't be crossing the ball if he knows he can't.
  12. Or you could just get rid of those rules. Do you guys ever delete posts because they quote the listed unreliable sources, or are you planning to? It seems like an awful lot of work.
  13. Didn't like 180,000 of his followers follow him just for teh lulz?
  14. Sinclair is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo overrated it's not even funny. He's a completely average player in my opinion. The only thing he's got going is pace. Man City would be far better off if they signed Nathan Dyer instead, and Swansea should just take those five million pounds and rip City off. EDIT: Also, Sinclair needs to get his brain checked if he seriously thinks he can make it at City.
  15. I disagree. Passing is an important part of his game because one of his primary duties is to help the team control the possession, and even though he doesn't attempt many difficult passes, it still takes a lot of experience and skills to achieve such admirable passing statistics.
  16. I think TacticalPanic is spot on. Mata now has a different role. Last season, he was asked to stay forward where he could feed other players, and we did that because we couldn't afford to have him drop to deep and receive the ball with Kalou and Malouda on the wing. In our system, that wasn't such a good thing because the transition from the DM's to the forwards was slow and ineffective. Now, he's given the freedom to drop as deep as he needs to get on the ball and then look for Hazard. Then, he usually runs around to give himself and Hazard room, which has worked out fine so far. It's a bit disappointing that Mata's influence has decreased, but our attack looks a lot better and quicker now, and to be honest, we were never going to have each of those players make 2-3 assists a game.
  17. You don't fully understand what Gourlay does for the club.
  18. Calm down, guys. I'm pretty sure Sturridge is still part of di Matteo's plan and he won't leave the club this summer. Robbie hasn't really had a chance to fully test his best team yet, and he's doing that now. Sturridge will get his playing time once di Matteo sorts out a few things and starts rotating the squad. Same goes for some of the other players in the team.
  19. He's bitter because he can no longer call us shit because we don't have history (whatever the fuck that means). SUCK IT ARSENAL HAHAHAHA But seriously, this is an embarrassing piece of shit. How old is this guy?
  20. Holy hell, did he really do that well? Must watch that game now.
  21. Chelsea, Swansea, and umm... I think that's it.
