  1. You are failing to grasp that these managers have a type of preference, these were Conte signings. Conte is obsessed with covering spaces and these players were to meet these ends. If you look through out Conte signings and payers he valued at Chelsea and Juventus, it is quite clear they were his preferences. Our squad is filled with these type of players for a reason, it is really not hard to grasp. Secondly top players with technical players do not want to play for these managers. simply put they are moved by a more exciting football they enjoy. Man you are really living in the past if you think early Roman years could be recreated with the style and signings. Football has changed, our financial powers is not the same, our competition is greater, players preferences has moved, etc. Without being the financial heavyweight in football, Chelsea has to offer a better product.
  2. The midfield of Veratti, Jorginho and Barella looks really promising for Italy. Even Mancini is more proactive nowdays.
  3. If you want those managers than better accept more Bakayoko and Drinkwater type signing, those are the players ready to line up for these guys.
  4. Definitely, the heavy amount of games in the second half of the season really stunted his football, the team needed more time on the training ground the busy schedule made that impossible.
  5. Yet you want Simeone and Alllegri, the football world is moving away from these dinosaurs. Sarri is not Chelsea quality yet Allegri is being let go in favor of Sarri.
  6. Imagine playing this type of football with actual quality players, shame it ends so early.
  7. Depth is enormously important for league play, they have elite players like Sane who is fighting for playing time. While at others club he would be no question guaranteed starter. They had KDB who was out for good part of the season, and they did not miss a beat. In a long season City are champions because of their depth not necessary their quality against the best.
  8. I agree the whole extending the ban smells like BS, it just doesn't follow logical sense at all.
  9. Of course not, Cech will only serve as a figurehead. Marina right now is the face of the board, they need someone to mask the criticism she gets.
  10. Sure let’s a hire a manager who took a 6th placed Championship side to another 6th finish. He really improved them there.
  11. Allegri would be a terrible hire, he is the coach you would want if you have a constructed team in place. Like Juventus or at the start of his tenure at Milan. Hiring him for a rebuild, a transfer ban, dependence on playing youths would be incredibly unwise. Allegri almost got Milan relegated in his final year, and that squad was much better than the current Milan team. I simply cannot emphasize enough how bad his hiring would be.
  12. If it is Lampard, any worry about Derby hiring Jody Morris? Hiring Lampard would be very iffy, without Morris i would be even more concerned.
  13. Laurent Blanc is a good manager. Won with Boureaux as an underdog and dominated with PSG. He plays an attractive football, flexible, plays youth and enough experience to not allow the board to push him around. He is on par with Sarri, in fact with attributes i appreciate more.
  14. Reports are Atletico are after Alonso, and he wants a return to Madrid.
  15. The market for strikers is scarce, you have no choice you have to take a punt on a Jovic or Piatek. If you wait you will lose him out to another team, if he stays you will face increased competition for his service later on. Werner or Jovic would be excellent signings.
  16. Not a fan of seeing Cech and Lampard coming back at this stage, it reeks of a PR move to hire popular figureheads to hid away general incompetency by the board.
  17. I agree, coming to Chelsea right now would set him up for failure. This is not the situation for an inexperienced manager to walk into. We definitely need the ban frozen, RLC and CHO injury unfortunately made this decision an easy one. The squad needs a rebuild, and i would trust Sarri in this situation.
  18. LOL, i am not Sarri biggest fan, but honestly i want him to stay on badly now.
  19. I think they might do something like they did with James Rodriguez, loan+option to buy.
  20. I don't see why Chelsea would sack Sarri, i have concerns but he met his goals. I think it is more likely Sarri leaves Chelsea than he get sacked.
  21. Honestly is it a bad idea to sell him, if offered the right money? Lets be honest we are not competing for PL and CL in the next two years, we are quite bit off of City and Pool, and even more so with the loss of our best player Hazard. There is also the the transfer ban, which will limit us closing the gap. regardless if we freeze it now or serve it in 2020. One way or another this is problematic in the future, we will need significant investment to catch up with them. Kante is at the prime of his career, and the style we are pursuing right now he is not much of a different maker. Personally would take the Hazard and Kante money and aggressively rebuild around young players.
  22. Sell Kante, and buy Ndombele and Aouar. We better off?
  23. Personally rate Allegri higher than Conte, mainly due to the fact he is a bit more proactive and not the coward Conte is. Conte is the better team builder though. I think Allegri would be good fit at PSG, and i would take Tuchel at Chelsea. That would be a good scenario.
  24. Buy someone obviously, i am quite bearish on Mason Mount honestly. Not impressed by his overall skillset. Kovacic and Barkley are not going to cut it, they were not good enough this season, and more will be expected of them without Hazard next season.
