  1. I am intrigued by Moriba, no way Barca can get 25m. Looks like an upgrade over Lewis Bate. People make the argument for Lukaku there are no other option beside Haaland and he is not available. Why not try for a 36 year old Ronaldo, he outperformed Lukaku who is In his prime.
  2. Enough, this is not my first rodeo. I have never been a fan of Lukaku at any point.
  3. Literally no logical person gives a shit about how good Lukaku was against grandpa league. When you have scrubs like Immobile, Muriel, and Birardi scoring for fun it is hard to take anything he did seriously at Inter. I watched him at the Euros he is literally the same player when he left United. Anyway we have signed a lot of bust strikers over the years, my body can take another one.
  4. He won’t be playing regularly for long, I can’t imagine a manager like Tuchel keeps playing Lukaku if he struggles to score. Look how he excluded Tammy. He cares a lot about how a player’s general play. Lukaku is a terrible fit, i honestly don’t believe these reports. I guess I will be in denial even when the club announces him.
  5. That is some serious revisionism shit. If he wasn’t linked to Chelsea you wouldn’t be saying this nonsense. He flopped, United were overjoyed they were able to recoup most of it. Just like we were when we sold Morata to Athletico Madrid.
  6. you on the other hand, extremely overrating Lukaku. Like Tomo said Werner scored 28 league goals in Bundesliga, that is better than Lukaku record at Inter. What makes you think 15-20 goals is guaranteed? Also consider Ciro immobile who scored 36 league goals, could only score 3 goals at Dortmund.
  7. Yes Haaland can flop, I am not completely convinced he is a safe bet. That is why you make the best decision at the time. Lukaku already flopped his big money move to United, the obstacles will be even greater in our team. Even if Haaland flops he will still have the resale value to be okay.
  8. Honestly I don’t believe the Lukaku reports, from my understanding of this club behavior this is not consistent with past behaviors.
  9. Signing Lukaku would literally be Torres 2.0. I remember desperately not wanting Chelsea to sign him, you knew it was train wreck from the beginning. This is what it feels like with Lukaku. He is simply not good enough for a possession heavy team and a top PL side, and most opposition will stack the box and give us little counter opportunities and the space for him to run into. The worst part of the Torres signing, was that we were also linked with Sergio Aguero at the time. Not only was our signing a bust, but the player that escaped us went on to become one of the best strikers in the PL. Hope history doesn’t repeat itself.
  10. Jorginho has a 85% penalty success rate counting his record at club and country. Higher than Ronaldo, Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Muller, Salah, etc. Only notable guys higher Ibra and maybe Hazard. Not sure on Hazard but he had higher percentage going back a few years. Jorginho is statistically one of the best pen takers in the world.
  11. So who is the most promising youth player at Chelsea now?
  12. What happened with Bernardo Silva?
  13. Hope Ziyech comes good this season, only player with creativity and Vision on this squad. Going to need him.
  14. Wish we prioritized signing a creative player.
  15. The Haaland situation is very straight forward, there is a clear value they have to sell Haaland next summer. So for them to sell this summer they have to have the financial incentive to sell. Without Haaland there is a possibility they lose CL football money and other revenues will be lost. They will sell if the money offered compensate them fairly.
  16. Rudigar has only had few very good months of football in 4 seasons at Chelsea, he is certainly not worth it.
  17. I have seen very little of Tchouameni, he does reminds me of Obi Mikel. His physical stature, how he shields the ball, and sprays passes is very Obi Mikel like.
  18. It amazes me people actually rated Drinkwater, he is a championship level player lol. Which in fact in reality what he is, since he has spent most of his career at that level.
  19. I don’t think it is when you consider CL football money and other revenue lost opportunities. I would say 150-160m should do it.
  20. I think it is not even a question, Dortmund will sell Haaland if they receive a fee that is substantialy more than they could next summer.
  21. Thinking Kounde is very much Azpi successor. Given Silva, Azpi, Rudigar, and Christensen all with uncertainty beyond next season. I think it makes sense.
  22. Out of that group I like RLC, I think at the very least he could be a viable super sub. His physicality and pace can give tired opposition a lot of trouble. I think there is a role for him.
  23. Similar to Conte, Tuchel needs to evolve in his second season if he is going to be successful. Conte couldn’t, after teams found a way to play against his system and it became very clear of it’s weakness by the end of first season. Similarly I think Tuchel faces similar challenge.
  24. Comparing Tuchel few months of football at Chelsea to Conte two seasons doesn’t seem fair. Very impressive start by Tuchel, but Conte first year was incredible too. We will see if Tuchel can sustain it.
  25. No there is evidence to back that up. I can’t imagine watching Chelsea on a regular basis thinking we create a lot of chances. And if you look at the personal out there, where are they coming from. The 5 defenders? 2 defensive midfielders?our non creative attackers? https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/features/2021/5/14/22435783/why-arent-Chelsea-scoring-more-goals-and-how-can-we-fix-that
