  1. Hopefully it is sufficient where the club doesn’t regret it too much in case he becomes a great player.
  2. Lamptey can play on the left also.
  3. Absolutely not, I watched a few games of Drinkwater before he signed, it was quite clear he was level blow a top tier side. From a physical and technical standpoint. It is amazing he is actually worse than the very little I thought of him. I am honestly surprised reading the early pages where people rated him. I stand by it he is the worst signing ever, because he had so little potential. i hated virtually every Conte signing for the exception of Rudigar.
  4. I really don’t care for the loss of academy players, the chances they become great players are rare. Just hope the club has mitigated their risk; you don’t want cases like Salah,KDB, Lukaku(even thought I don’t rate him), etc. where they become fantastic players elsewhere. Wonder what is causing them to all leave in unison.
  5. Drinkwater is probably the worst Chelsea signing ever, we all knew he was utter crap before we signed him. What followed was even worse, completely useless and didn’t provide anything in his Chelsea career. Amazing that someone thought it was a good idea to pay 40m for this guy.
  6. I thought it already came out the allegations is against Gylfi Sigurðsson.
  7. I do not think we will sign Haaland, mainly because of Mino Raiola.
  8. I agree that Dortmund will accept such offer, but I have doubt that we will make such offer.
  9. I wouldn’t bin Mendy, but Donnuruma is much more proven. I hope Mendy can replicate his first season success.
  10. Not in my opinion, I think England has several better players in attack. He is quite average, struggled against better competition.
  11. England has only themselves to blame for their coward football. Top to bottom England are more talented, but they play like shit. I thought Italy overachieved. Their FBs are mediocre, and outside of Chiesa no one in their attack is worth anything. I honestly can’t fathom any criticism of the way Italian football played. This was a side that two years ago didn’t qualify for the World Cup, and now are Champions of Europe.
  12. It was a great save by Pickford, no one scores every penalty. I think he needs to mix it more, like I said no one scores every penalty. Ronaldo doesn’t, Messi doesn’t, Hazard neither, or Lampard.
  13. Mount is only 22, still has time to improve. I don’t think it is harsh to see him similar to Willian who regularly gave you 7/10 performances at his best seasons. He was in his prime, Mount is much younger got time to get better.
  14. Absolute warrior on the pitch, he is mentally on a another level nowdays.
  15. CHO needs to go on loan, if there is a player I think must go on loan it is him. He needs minutes desperately.
  16. Mount is deservedly Chelsea Player of the year, he was the most consistent under Lampard and Tuchel. For me him winning felt more like how Willian won player of the year twice. Both players were consistent and had the most “solid” performances.
  17. Mount has not been arguably the best player in the tournament, Jorginho has.
  18. That summer we did spend, we just brought shit players. We replaced Costa and Magic with vastly inferior players. Imo Summer of 2015 was a summer we should have spent on quality, instead we made no investment and sign players with low chance playing for Chelsea.
  19. Is Haaland that good? I have not watched much of Bundesliga, given our success with ST signings hard for me to be overjoyed or be interested in if we will sign him or not.
  20. A veteran and proven goal scorer is what we need. Given the amount investment we have made in our young attackers. Haaland was never going to happen. We could do much worse.
  21. I feel like I am on a crazy pill, it’s preseason for god sake. People really have issues with giving a guy a chance in preseason and letting the manager form his opinion. If this a controversial take, this forum has lost all sense. Seem like all the fair minded posters have left this board. Before RLC injury, the Barkley vs RLC debate was dusted. Go argue with a wall.
  22. At their best at Chelsea, Ruben is miles above Barkley. RLC looked like he was on his his way to be a special player. He was a big reason why we finished strong under Sarri, going to Europa final and capturing 3rd place. You know a player is class when others are playing well, and he is able to stand out. Barkley at his best looked like a depth player at Chelsea. Naturally some players are better fit for some managers; Kovacic and Zouma were beneficiaries from Lampard management and tactics, while Rudigar, AC, and Jorginho. You could also make an argument about Kante too, his performances were day and night under Tuchel and Lampard. Maybe RLC benefits the same way under Tuchel. It is worth exploring in pre season.
  23. RLC has shown much more than Barkley. Your position is absolutely ridiculous, no one is suggesting RLC should be guaranteed anything, it is not a waste of time if Tuchel wants to give RLC an opportunity in pre season. It’s pre season, where we have seen many more inferior players play for Chelsea. RLC was very good under Sarri, and big reason why we finished strong toward the end of the season. If he get that RLC back then it is worth the time in freaking pre season.
