Marco Silva seems like he'd be the absolute last resort appointment if everyone we would truly want rejects us. The owners would spin it as a big positive thing because he has been fairly successful in the PL already for many years. Even if Alonso rejects us and Iraola chooses Palace, I doubt we'd actually hire Marco Silva even though he's the other name on the shortlist. The last resort might be Filipe Luis since the board likes him.

Cesc is definitely interested. A big round of interviews with Matt Law, Rory Jennings in the week the Chelsea job becomes available talking about his work at Como, future. Como President saying they wouldn't stand in his way. All this is adding up to me as Cesc is interested. Of course, he is looking to get a fair amount of control if he's gonna join.
