I don't believe that our record with marquee signings is anything to write home about. Buying names is no substitute for good judgement. Sign good players and no one will care what their name is. Sign a bad player with a big name and no one will forgive the club in a hurry.

Interesting, the only problem is that Epstein is dead so we couldn't question about this connectiong as a Mossad agent. But if Kirk was aware of that I'm sure his wife would know...... People can always question his now widow wife in the future about this. If she did know something, did his husband mentioned anything about this?

When the links first surfaced there was a report that he wasn't interested. Fair enough.

Yeah agree he was given millions of dollars by Israel to found TP. You're right he was very pro Isarel, but he was starting to change. Not in his support for Isarel, but in just calling it how it is. He was mentioning Epstein as Mossad and Oct 7th 2023 how the border troops were ordered to stand down - he was going the way of Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens.

I would like to see more info about this. Because every time I heard Kirk debate he would defend Israel. In one debate I put where he was at Cambridge posted 3 months ago he was defending Israel, here from 52:30 and on:

Haha Youtube have deleted the bit in an interview where Kirk said he had evidence Israel stood down on Oct 7th 2023 Like we were saying with @Fernando - ''we love free speech, as long as you dont disagree with us'' Left and right both guilty So with Youtube deleting anything Kirk said that they dont agree with we have to ask who owns these social media cesspits ?

Chelsea https://thedailybriefing.io/i/173635710/Chelsea Chelsea had a £70m bid for Juventus striker Kenan Yildiz rejected over the summer, with the Italian side hoping to tie the 20-year-old Turkey international down to a long-term contract. (Calciomercato) Enzo Maresca confirms Marc Guiu out was his decision and no injury: “We know Marc from last year. But in this moment, one of them was out from the squad…I wanted to give George a bit confidence. Against Fulham, he did well and he was okay. The season is so long”. Chelsea, Everton and Brighton have all made contact with Barcelona over teenage midfielder Marc Bernal. (Mundo Deportivo)

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cq5jl744pwpo Why will September international break be longer from 2026? ByJonty Colman BBC Sport journalist Published 10 September 2025 September international breaks are getting longer from 2026, in a move that will bring the disappearance of the October international break. The change is being made for a number of reasons. These include the 2026 World Cup final having the latest date for a summer World Cup since 1966, with the match due to be played on 19 July. Player welfare also featured in the discussions that took place with stakeholders and all Fifa's confederations prior to approval. Travel considerations are a factor in the change. The reduction in breaks will reduce the number of journeys where players from one continent have to travel to another for their international fixtures - such as African or South American players who play their domestic football in Europe and have to travel cross-continent to fulfil international fixtures. There are currently five international breaks each year, lasting two weeks each - in March, June, September, October and November. Each break means there is no league football in the top divisions for two weeks as countries play two matches each. There are some exceptions, such as when there is a major tournament like the World Cup, Africa Cup of Nations or European Championship. Starting next year, there will instead be an increased September break, with no October break and a regular November break. There will be a three-week gap for domestic matches in September and countries will play four international matches instead of two. The move to switch to an extended September break was approved by the Fifa Council in March 2023. The council is made up of representatives from all six Fifa confederations and is discussed with football stakeholders prior to making and approving changes. While the September break is getting longer, the removal of the October break means that in total, one week fewer in the domestic season is lost to international fixtures.

John Terry wants to see Chelsea make marquee signings again Terry with some very interesting comments indeed https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/john-terry-wants-to-see-Chelsea-make I find it even more interesting reading comments from John Terry or hearing him speaking about Chelsea these days because he works for the club still. He’s still got a role within the academy so he will always need to be a little bit careful with what he says. So it intrigued me even more to hear him telling the club to start making some marquee signings again, and this is something that I know many of us agree with. I don’t think anyone would want the club to rip up the script fully and change back to the Roman Abramovich days of making marquee signings - because there has proven to be many positives in the way we recruit at the moment as well as negatives. However, and what I hope Terry means by his comments below, we all want to see more balance with our recruitment. This summer would have been the perfect time to do that by adding a big name in goal and at the back, it would have solved one issue that keeps coming up. “We're officially the best team in the world so we're happy with that,” Terry joked on talkSPORT late last week. “I don’t want too much pressure on the boys because we are a young squad. “With this year and with the experience of pushing the other teams close I think we have a chance to be up there and we should be because we’re Chelsea. “I think any top side or any young and experienced player going into the season saying, 'We can’t win it,' shouldn’t be playing at the top level. “So I think every Chelsea player should believe we can go and win it. “Do I think we will? No, I don’t being honest with you but I think we’ll be right amongst it and I think we should be.” Asked how Chelsea can leapfrog Liverpool and win their first Premier League title since 2017, Terry said: “I’d love to see us in the mix for big signings if we want to be back to our very best and at the top winning Premier Leagues year after year. “I think the only thing we’re missing at the moment is those marquee signings.” “[This Season], I think Liverpool are the strongest side,” he added. “I think Manchester City have shown vulnerability again this season. “I’m not sure Chelsea have enough experience within their squad to push them.” So once again, Terry is mentioning a lack of experience and big names within the squad. As you know, I mostly agree with the captain, leader, legend here. What about you? Terry also went on to speak on Enzo Maresca and how he rates him. “I’ve been very impressed with him to be honest. He’s very inviting with me as I’m obviously working in the academy,” Terry revealed. “I get to see him work and he’s very personal with the players. “I think the biggest thing for any manager this year is being close to the players and he seems to have a really good connection with the younger players. “He’s very young himself. He understands the players, he understands what they want and he’s certainly getting the best out of them at the moment.”

Don't know what to expect in all honesty, as I have no clue what random line up Maresca will choose
-
Bayern is attacking team which suits us. So I expect us to score, maybe even a few. How we'll perform defensively is different question. I think Gusto will start, in fact maybe same lineup as final against PSG minus Colwill.

I remember only Brentford away also was heavy rotation last season? Exaggerating as usual. Palmer was never going to start after the injury and Estevao was not available. Delap as well which would put Pedro behind striker. So Buonanotte was logical choice. This is not rotation but circumstances. Only rotation was Hato and Fofana for Cucurella and James/Gusto. Made both changes at HT. We scored 2 goals which should be more than enough to win a game. First goal we conceded has nothing to do with Hato and Fofana but more our starting CBs anyway. Second was probably irregular goal with players you wanted to start. So conclusion is that small rotation has nothing to do with 2 lost points.

he wanted to rotate the line up after a IT because of phisical issues

You don't upgrade GK and CB in the summer and now this will cost you important points .We predicted it what will happen when you not take top gk and cb even without Colwill who was vital last season .

Exactly this. Im still annoyed at the way Maresca prioritized PL and conference league games in the 2nd half last season. He always saved his best lineups for conference league fodder. And while he rescued top 4 at the end, it was his fault (and Jackson's sending off) that we fell into a scrap with other teams for securing CL.
