You can tell that he is incredibly talented with the ball at his feet for a CB. Some of that great ball carrying was on display yesterday. But as you would expect for a teenager his positional discipline and reading of the game is still super raw. I agree with others that I’d 100% prefer to see him getting these minutes than Tosin or Badiashile but I think Josh would benefit massively from a season’s loan at a really solid midtable PL team. He could absolutely follow the Colwill path and come back here a top class CB. He’s not really going to get the consistency and reps if he’s in and out of the team constantly here. Something to consider in the summer.

Yes, for the 2nd goal. Tell me that Gusto wasn't supposed to track the no.19 player who eventually scored. IMO., he lost his man and could have done better. He could've gone for the ball or gone for the man. He did neither and just stood there watching the action like our defenders usually do.

Isn’t two of the moments before the goal him not trying to/failing to just clear the ball though? Thats the point I’m trying to make, all the big opportunities to get rid of it, Trev & him, are the most culpable & obvious chances, no?
-
Wouldn't that all have been avoided if any of the defenders tried to clear the ball inside the box? And what was Trev doing at the back with his arm up claiming for offside or handball? This is no different to experienced Tosin getting subbed on against Sunderland and then proceeding to let their striker back him all the way into the box and lay off a pass for them to score the goal and win the game at the Bridge. What happened to good old fashioned defending in the box, clear your lines or push it out for a corner, don't let them walk the ball over the line.
-
Yes he really struggled. But I would rather give him the minutes than Tosin, Badiashile etc. They are established players and not near the required level, Josh is still young & moments like that second goal will make him learn. For the second goal? Are we watching different goals 🤣? Disagree completely. Being incredibly harsh on Gusto who is in a bad situation regardless because of the other defenders actions. Trevor & Josh do poorly, poor communication between them initially. Then Josh doesn’t deal with it not once but twice. Then the GK is stitched up rather hopelessly. Not really sure what Gusto’s meant to do differently really because he’s gone in to try help, if he's not there the player who makes contact & puts him over gets the shot unopposed & you’d probably be asking why he’s covering the other man then 😵💫 I mean, lets be honest, what else is he meant to do? What would James have done differently? Jesus what would anyone have done differently? The damage is done directly from Trev & Josh’s initial mix up then Josh’s actions twice. Then the GK is reacting trying to deal with something that shouldn’t happen. Then Galo is reacting to the aftermath of that. I get Josh is a kid and still learning but he had 3 bad moments in that goal. No point passing the buck.
-
Still think Gusto should have helped Josh out there, by covering the goal scorer. Gusto, when on form is great, but like I said before- low footballing IQ. He stood there ball watching the entire time and ignored his man ghosting past and scoring. Doubt this would've happened if James was playing.

Do you mentioned reselience as a strength when asked in interviews?
- Last week

Everyone knows that. Nico is 50+ million player replaced by Pedro. Delap is just a backup.

Cucurella will probably have a long injury layoff Our season is over. We'll fall short of the top 5 Truth be told, we didn't deserve it, and it's fair, when Colwill got injured and the board didn't want any defenders. The fate of our season was decided there
-
Villa and Liverpool won..we really needed this win urghh... Onto the next..
-
Would rather throw in Josh and give him experience than go back to Tosin or Badiashile.
-
Problem in this side now, if your not injured your average. Tosin, Badshit and Trev are all middle of the road, Josh is raw, Fofana plays two and misses three and fuck knows with Sarr he has had splinters on his arse since coming back CB is an area we need sort with quality signings, but it won't happen
-
Was a major fault for yesterday. Maybe thats why Maresca did not give him much chances? He needs to get a loan ASAP.
-
In Palace he scored more goals in 33 minutes than in 22 games for Wolves this season. Maybe service was the problem?
-
Hopefully he is still injured
-
Rosenior more or less confirmed he will. Have a bad feeling it’ll be next to Tosin, though. 😬
-
Only real chance to win a trophy unless something bonkers happens in the CL so hopefully we dont make a mess of this..
-
If he doesn't play Sarr here we may as well just throw him in the bomb squad
-
I hate it that Josh had a blunder yesterday.
-
Judging by Rosenior’s presser he’s going to play a strong but likely still quite changed team. So I’m hoping that at least Moi and João Pedro are rested. Ideally Enzo would too but we don’t have many options in midfield to change everyone since Lavia and Essugo are perma injured. Hopefully 90 minutes for Estevão and Sarr.
-
Rosenior back to his old club -161 appearances, and then manager, his contract was until December 2026. ''Rosenior was dismissed in 2024. Hull City owner, Acun Ilicali said that Rosenior had been sacked over a difference on football philosophy between the two with Ilicali wanting attacking football and Rosenior unable to offer that as a manager.'' Score to settle then...

Hull are doing well in the Championship, this won't be easy Can't see us keeping a clean sheet 1-3

It seems we need to be 3 or 4 up as at 2-0 we are still highly vulnerable. These defensive issues need addressing and quickly, we are wide open game after game
