🚨 Any new signing must be carefully balanced to avoid blocking the pathways of highly regarded, young centre‑backs such as Acheampong, Strasbourg loanee Mamadou Sarr and Dortmund loanee Aaron Anselmino. (@NizaarKinsella)

Delap on his Yellow Cards “I think I’ll always be the same. I was a nightmare when I was a kid. I still have my moments where I probably go over the edge, but if I took that away from me, I wouldn’t be the same player,” Delap said. “Obviously, there are times where I can control it and be sensible and smart about it, but I would never ever lose that because I’ll lose my edge, lose my fire a little bit.” Nobody wants him to lose his fire, but it’s a little concerning to hear him be so defiant about potentially changing his ways to become more sensible. Let’s focus on scoring goals first, then we can worry about the rest.

Romano is nothing but a Fichajes fake news shill now: Chelsea are interested in Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior amid growing doubts over his long-term future at the Bernabeu. (Fichajes) Chelsea have discussed a shock €125m move to sign João Neves, one of the best young midfielders in the world. (Fichajes) Remember, after hyping the fake Vini Jr to Chels Fichajes bullshit for weeks, Romano came out and claimed it was all baseless, but NOW, in true gaslighting style, he is back pushing the same dross AGAIN.

💥Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Levi Colwill all understood to be seeking discussions over improved contracts. Chelsea, however, want to delay any renewal talks until the summer. (@NizaarKinsella)

Please play Estevao

David Luiz on-pitch reunion against Chelsea could be in danger with reports in Cypriot press suggesting he'll have to face a late fitness test due to injury worries.
-
But the way they think and operate you can purely see it happening like that cant you?
-
If Jacquet is signed and loaned to Rennes till the summer, what's the signing going to be at CB? Senesi? Have a hard time believing they'll reintegrate Disasi and leave the squad at that - especially with Colwill only coming back late in the season if at all

Petr Cech: Not One Manager Was Fired Because They Weren’t Good Enough | Chelsea's Winning Mentality Elite athletes who have achieved everything in their sport while building a career alongside; it’s the ambition many sports stars have today. But how do you do it effectively? Petr Cech is a footballing legend, and I don’t use that term lightly. Four Premier League titles, a Champions Leagues, record for the most Premier League clean sheets, and hugely respected as one of the most dedicated and attentive professionals the game has seen. He also has an MBA, is studying for a PhD, runs multiple businesses, and I need two hands to count the number of languages he speaks. The philosophy that has driven this? Win, that’s what it’s all about. If not then what’s the point. As you’ve just heard this is a theme that runs throughout. It also poses the question we wrestle most with on the show which is how to do that consistently and run a great business. I’ll get the apology in early, yes this was very exciting for me (and Harry too). Sitting across the table from someone who has given you some of your greatest memories as a fan is pretty cool, not many other ways I can say it. Just breeze through it. But what I can say is we’ve met few people are impressive or generous with their time who leave you genuinely in awe of but their successes and the processes they’ve adopted to achieve it. I promise you don’t just need to be a Chelea fan to enjoy this. We’re delighted to welcome Petr to the Business of Sport. ---------------------------------------------------- Timestamps: 00:00 Intro 01:48 Life In And After Football 04:39 Football First Or Life Balance? Elite Mentality, Preparation & Winning: Why preparation beats talent under pressure and how Petr approached the biggest moments of his career. What truly separates elite performers when everything is on the line. Why winning is a mindset before it’s a tactic. 2. Leadership, Standards & Team Culture: How winning environments are built and sustained over time. The role of managers, players and dressing-room standards in elite teams. Why culture collapses when accountability disappears. 3. Setbacks, Injury & Perspective: How a life-threatening head injury changed the way Petr approached football and life. Why fear never disappeared, but how he learned to perform alongside it. The difference between confidence and control at the highest level. 4. From Pitch to Boardroom: Transitioning from player to executive and seeing football from the inside. Why football performance must always come before commercial priorities. How decision-making, incentives and governance shape success off the pitch.

Villa are obsessed with former Chelsea players, huh. Linked with Gallagher, Tammy, and now RLC this window.
-
🔵Chelsea remain locked in talks with Rennes over the signing of defender Jeremy Jacquet this month, though there has been no significant movement in the last couple of days. Chelsea are considering numerous options in negotiations for Jacquet. (@BobbyVincentFL)

Villa want Tammy Abraham and have now asked about the exit deal for Ruben Loftus Cheek after Kamara's injury

Romano could be right and still we don't add CB to our playing squad for rest of season.(e.g. Jacquet signed but loaned back immediately) I think if we doing that then Sarr or Anselmino needs to return to us.not only to help out the rest of the season but to save having too many CB's needing to be integrated/re-integrated in the summer. Ideally it would be Sarr because he'll have the WC in the summer to disrupt his prep time.
-
The only hope I am hanging on too is Romano saying we are defo buying a CB in this window

This has nothing to do with a shop window. He's only being "recalled" because we don't have fit CB's. Fofana is a walking injury every other game, Badi can't stay fit and Tosin is injured. We are down to Chalobah and Josh.

Imagine if he did come back into the team and put in a decent shift, would just prove that our defense is actually nowhere near top 6 quality other than Cucurella, Colwill (excluding Reece as he played more midfield than defense).

Tbf Kazakhstan team is in Champions League as well.

It would be funny if Disasi returns, puts in a good shift in 1 or 2 games, and people start thinking he's the 2nd coming of Rudiger. Knowing how flip-flop some Chelsea fans are these days, it wouldnt surprise me.

Introducing someone now who has been completely frozen out to put him in the shop window is not even thinkable. His shop window was the bomb squad, bringing him into the group is the biggest sign he is in the plans know to man. We have to accept that back line is as weak as baby and we ain't addressing it anytime soon
-
Best case scenario, Disasi rejoining training (and maybe being given minutes) is just a desperate attempt to sell him asap and shop windowing him. Who's gonna buy a guy that's not even training properly?
