  1. Past hour
  2. Going back to this comment, so how much has Josh played after the initial Palace game? Knowing Fofana he'll play 2 more games and then go missing for another 10, he's like the defender version of Lavia
  3. How can you say that, we signed the mighty DISASI as a key position CB, then he played as a RB, then he got loaned out to Villa to share the brilliance. Also, what about the great LAVIA who can barely stay fit for 5 games. I said at the time that outbidding Liverpool for Lavia was a waste of money. Add in Fofana, Badiashile and Mudryk (who wants to become a runner now).....and the wasted money is hilarious. 40 + 50 + 70 + whatever we spent on Badi and Mudryk 😆

  5. Don’t worry… come January/next summer, folk will be creaming themselves over how we signed 5 or 6 players (that 90% doesn’t include a top GK or CB) with a ridiculously low net spend. Without thinking about how bad the recruitment is/has been due to a severe lack of key signings in key positions. Again. People can’t help but fall for it each window. This club is now merely being run more as a very efficient business as opposed to a competitive football team. That’s what BlueCo want.
  6. Not really. It’s a game of inches and they could very well have 4 to 6 less points if things didn’t go their way.
  7. Strange, but bookies have us as slight favourites to beat Liverpool at this current moment of time...
  8. Sadly I'm starting to think he'll end up playing more games for England than he will for us. Maresca wants to keep him but don't want to give him any reason to want to stay.it's warped.
  9. Yeah people on here shitting their pants and acting like the world is over after a few games. It’s honestly boring at this point. Can we improve on things? Sure. The seasons just started though ffs.
  10. I do miss the days when we would actually take on the opposition with speed on the counter. Feel like a lot of PL teams will be able to score 2-3 goals on us as our defensive line is non existent.
  11. It most certainly isn’t the major coup it is made out to be either. It’s a trophy yes and bought him some more credit in the bank with the decision makers but doesn’t necessarily mean he is the end all or be all of us winning that. The PL & CL results is a better barometer to use to praise or beat him with. Seen enough last season to know how it will end… he will be gone by the summer 100%.
  12. Yesterday
  13. thats a fact but its not necessary to underestimate our victory in cwc
  14. If we played Bayern and Real instead of those Brazilian teams we wouldn't be in the final to begin with.
  15. lol psg was not in pre season CWC victory was a great archievment Dont forget that that psg team won easily against real and bayern
  16. That Maresca doesn't have a clue about prioritizing matches, and how to setup a team for multiple fixtures. It was a dumb move to mess up the lineup against Brentford. IMO, Maresca should have easily won the game against Brentford, maybe played on the counter and soak up pressure against Bayern with a more defensive setup, to at least get a draw against the best team in the group, in an away game. Instead he threw away both games. Against Man Utd, he threw away the game with his substitutions.
  17. 3 games, and the group of Tosin, Chalobah and Fofana have been awful., with each of them making mistake. If Maresca wants to reduce that points gap, he better try something different with his backline. Bring back Josh Acheampong or Hato to play in the CB role. The other 3 are squad level. Tosin keeps backing off from the attacker in every 1 on 1, Chalobah can get caught napping on occasion, and Fofana is always knackered, unable to keep up with pacy attackers.
  18. Don't worry, by next month, that gap will open up We also had luck vs Palace, then against Fulham with that disallowed goal.
  19. Seems like everyone's ego got a little bigger after winning the CWC. Just because we got past PSG in pre-season doesn't make us a contender 😆
  20. Lets be real, Barca weren't going to sell Fermin unless it was some ridiculous transfer fee Not sure why we splashed on Gittens and then missed out on Simons cause we didn't have enough sales to meet UEFA criteria. I miss the good old days of Cech - JT - Essien - Lamps - Drogba.
  21. As if Maresca staying is any help for us either, both camps are fucking shite.
  22. Brighton and Liverpool next, doubt the math will remain the same.
  23. And what does it say when you have 3 RBs available and you play Fofana instead.
  24. It's clear that both the club and Maresca are in disagreement. He wanted a CB this summer after the Colwill injury. The club tells him that he can use the fantastic Badiashile and Fofana after they repair their legs at the shop.
  25. Just 2 points behind 2nd place after 3 bad results in 5 games is not horrible. Liverpool would also be around if not lucky late wins.
  26. “That is insane” – Frank Leboeuf slams Enzo Maresca decision in Man United defeat https://Chelsea.news/2025/09/frank-leboeuf-enzo-maresca-criticism/ Frank Leboeuf has labelled one decision Enzo Maresca made during Chelsea’s game against Manchester United as “insane.” Chelsea slumped to a 2-1 defeat against United at Old Trafford on Saturday evening, as their wait for a first win at the famous ground since 2013 continues. It was Chelsea’s first defeat of the Premier League season and it leaves them on eight points from five games, and already seven points behind leaders Liverpool at this early stage. Frank Leboeuf not impressed with Enzo Maresca Maresca made two changes from the side which lost to Bayern on Wednesday, with Estevao Willian and Wesley Fofana coming in. In terrible conditions in Manchester, the Blues made an awful start to the game and were all over the place in the opening minutes. The poor start culminated in Robert Sanchez being sent off after just four minutes for taking out United forward Bryan Mbeumo. Maresca reacted by taking off Estevao, and then also took off Pedro Neto and went to a back five, a system Chelsea don’t play. Thing got even worse as Cole Palmer was taken off injured after just 20 minutes, and Maresca confirmed after the game the 23-year-old wasn’t 100% fit. Palmer was given a late fitness test ahead of the game, and Leboeuf has labelled the decision not to take him off instead of Neto as insane. “If you have to sacrifice another forward player, you take off Cole Palmer first [who wasn’t at 100% anyway], not Pedro Neto,” he said as quoted on X.com. “That is insane from Enzo Maresca.” Rough afternoon for Chelsea It was a miserable afternoon for the Blues and Maresca, who left many baffled with his choice of substitutions throughout the game. In the second half with the Blues chasing the game, he opted to bring on Tyrique George and Malo Gusto, with summer signings Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho left on the bench. It was yet another game in which Marc Guiu was unused, and Chelsea will need a response and a return to winning ways against Lincoln in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
