I'm not saying it did or didn't happen but is it very possible he said Manc cunt and black cunt confused Sterling.

If it's the incident I'm thinking of then there's also a black guy right in earshot of everything. who doesn't react....

Thing don't get is aside from the fact if did say he's a complete moron anyway... Surely he'd know actions will rightly fully have consequences!

There's footage that can be seen and requested by the club and sound footage looked into. So don't get what they thought it would achieve. Guess wait and see... Hopefully it is innocent and not a case of here we go again

what a match, it was like a Mourinho job but delivered better. City had possession, more so in the 1st 20 minutes but without bite. I was in Wembley against Spurs and can say Luiz had one of his best games since his return. In fairness, the midfielders shielded the back so well and the team was compact. Hazard won more aerial balls than Morata and held his own without having his best match. Morata started poorly with about 6 poor passes and bad decisions but rose up to the occasion in the second half. enjoy some moments:

It does n't make sense.
Half our squad our black guys.
If it concerns an opponent or one of our players who underperforms, it just does n't make sense even if some in the crowd are racists.
I don't believe it.
In Paris it was different. It was off the pitch and a company of hooligans were horse playing on the train platform.

Lip readers will be able to determine one way or another whether it was ''Manc cunt''- hard to fathom that someone whose all time hero is probably Drogba said black cunt - but there are morons out there...

Media just concentrating on Sterling 'incident'. Completely overshadowed what was a fantastic performance.

Whether there was racial abuse or not   -the mud will stick now

Just what we dont need right now, anything the media can use to bring us down they will use it and blow it way out of proportion painting Chelsea as a horrible club in the process, we just have to be the center of attention, yet another racial abuse scandal, it reminds me of the whole Terry Ferdinand shitstorm, dont be surprised if fans start handing out petitions for us to be punished severely. Typical that this incident is overshadowing our great win over City.

A fantastic half I would say but the Sterling issue is far, far more important and so, quite rightly, makes news in both sports and non-sports media.

There will always be racists. It's certain that more than one of them attended that game on Saturday and that they wore blue scarves of both shades. Football can't rid the world of racist thinking, and nor can it hope to control how fans see people of different ethnicities. What football can, and must, do however is make clear that letting your racism show is utterly unacceptable in and around football occasions. Find heavy book. Raise high. Throw hard.

Think 99.9% of people condemn racist abuse. But with this the media have become  judge. jury and executioner before anything has been proven at all.

The mud will stick even if it's clear he shouted ''You Manc cunt''.

The black guy in the crowd on TV this morning said he heard nothing racist. What hasn't been mentioned is that Sterling was getting general abuse because he'd taken out Luiz five minutes before, and this happens at every corner at every ground.

And the players we have on our team as well. See what becomes of that. But like you say there are unfortunately some utter morons.

After the whole Paris incident a few years back as well... Not needed. Just stirs it all up again

The media will do what they do. Implying deep criticism of a club while being careful to use language which allows them to avoid any charge of pre judging an incident themselves. Media is not in the business of publishing news. They are in the business of getting you to pay, one way or another, for what they publish. Sensationalism sells and, as much as individual journalists may hate it, they are forced to accept that they need to sell to survive. From that point of view they must cover the story before it is judged. After the Chelsea fan is found innocent, or at least not guilty, they'd have missed their chance. For now the story works for them no matter what the eventual outcome. They don't like to miss their chance so dish it out to any target they can.

Fans of all clubs believe that the media hates them and loves their rivals. This is clear from the opinions on any fan forum. We here are free to complain as we see fit but the club has to understand how the media game is played. They will sensationalise and if they have a hook like Paris to hang that sensationalism on, they will gleefully plop it there. The club must stick to its policies, establish the facts, and act accordingly. If they find wrong doing then, because of our history whether deserved or not, they must act decisively and I'm afraid harshly. If they do not find wrong doing then they need to get that out as quickly as possible.

What Stirling did to infuriate anybody ?
If thery were ahead and he was walking slowly towards the touch line it could be, but they were never ahead.
He is not one of those players entrusted to kick Hazard either.
It's a strange affair as much as it is unlikely to be racist abuse.
I 've seen racist abuse in football grounds. In the 80s the Greek teams were all white and the first coloured player was one named Inluga, a midfielder and a very good one too.
The man heard all sorts of abuse from the hooligans.
Later we had Daniel Batista (the poor mens Gullit as he was nicknamed) and others. Daniel became Greek eventually and played for the national team also.
But who could say a thing against him ?
Non-football supporter hooligans is different. Sometimes they mix with the crowds and create ugly scenes. Greece v. Romania world cup qualifier of 2014 was one such when the racists created ugly scenes.

It's in the hands of the Met, and there were a lot of their finest waiting at the bottom of gate 14.

The media at the moment qualify all their coverage with 'alleged'. Their lawyers have obviously advised such. This doesn't stop the John Barnes's. Rios;, and Kick it Out (who have well paid jobs dependent on it not being 'kicked out') from being jury. judge. and executioners already.

I hope they do, if there is no proven racist abuse, and conversely the bloke is banned if proven otherwise. You'd think the lip reading services that they use for Mourinho, Pep etc would have been able to be employed on this to reach a swift conclusion.
