magicrico 175
Just cause this guy is flavour of the month doesn't mean we should go for him. Another silly move for Chelsea....15 Million to get this guy out of Porto? Seriously? for what, a 3 year deal, he does shit for 6 months, booted out by xmas, we pay him off another 10 million. Easy money for him. Our club never ceases to amaze me. Don't get me wrong could be good, but Jesus 1 good season and lets get him in for that amount of money? ridiculous. He's a very promising young manager & we should take such risks if we do really want to build a long term future. Yes it could go wrong like you're saying but it could go the other way.Arsene Wenger only spent 1 year at the club he was at before Arsenal when they hired him and look what he's done for them (minus the last 7-8years). Henrique 9,133
Are you happy? You tell me. Should I be happy. All I know about him is his good job with Porto, but its not that difficult to win Portuguese League with Porto, and he also won EL, but many lesser managers also won it.I don't if he is a master of the game, or if he play defensive or offensive football. What can you tell me about him ?If he is really a "mini-mourinho" then I'm far from happy.
Shane 2,275
Mou once mentioned AVB to be his eyes and ears.We got mourinhos eyes and ears now. WoohooWould be fascinating to see master vs the apprentice if we get pitted against Real Madrid in Champions LeagueThey fell out aswell, They don't talk anymore.I don't think Boas is our manager officially yet, therefore the club can't announce it. When it's official they'll announce it. Everyone knows that our official website is very slow to report news.I was joking.

We must thank the "Mister" all work and trophies won us this season. We lost our coach but we will continue very strong. U.S. PORTO!
Guest justin_3d
The Special One Mark IIhttp://news.bbc.co.u...ll/13846140.stmI like this little read from that article:So what can Chelsea fans expect if Villas-Boas does take up Chelsea's offer? "Probably a continuation of the 4-3-3 favoured under Mourinho and broadly Carlo Ancelotti, but a much more attack-minded approach than Mourinho," editor of Zonal Marking Michael Cox told BBC Sport. "In the press conference after the Europa League final in Dublin, Villas-Boas paid tribute to Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola, saying how much he admires the style of football at Barca and also almost apologised for winning that final in a scrappy game, saying he wanted to put on a show." There is a brutal efficiency about Porto - the defensive organisation, the tempo of play, the speed of transition to attack. It is as if the players are almost remotely controlled by Villas-Boas. But with the exception of the gifted Colombian striker Falcao, there is not much beauty on offer as Porto have ruthlessly demolished the opposition at home and abroad. Villas-Boas' coaching pedigree suggests he will be successful wherever he goes. The question is whether he can replicate Barca's style, which he says he so admires, with the next club he manages. Swoopz 183
Villas-Boas is incredible, he is breaking Mourinho's records at Porto and is behind a lot of Mourinho's success, his scouting reports are like nothing I've ever seen before; the detail is unbelievable. He has said he only wants to work for maybe another ten years and I don't blame him, because the amount of effort and time he must spend on his work would burn most men out after less than a year.If AVB does sign for Chelsea then I will put money us doing the treble. This is a scouting report AVB did for Mourinho in 2005 about Newcastle. http://www.bragafut.com/artigos/art18.pdf

Looking back is not our way. Now that we fired Carlo we have to take risk! Can't no longer rely on the world class manager because of his past achievement.AVB is the risk, as he wants to practice good football, and has the talent to implement good tactics like Mourinho.
