Understand your concerns.

However such risks could pay massive dividends for us instead of him. He's a very promising young manager & we should take such risks if we do really want to build a long term future. Yes it could go wrong like you're saying but it could go the other way.

Arsene Wenger only spent 1 year at the club he was at before Arsenal when they hired him and look what he's done for them (minus the last 7-8years).

All I know about him is his good job with Porto, but its not that difficult to win Portuguese League with Porto, and he also won EL, but many lesser managers also won it.

I don't if he is a master of the game, or if he play defensive or offensive football. What can you tell me about him ?

Villas-Boas is incredible, he is breaking Mourinho's records at Porto and is behind a lot of Mourinho's success, his scouting reports are like nothing I've ever seen before; the detail is unbelievable. He has said he only wants to work for maybe another ten years and I don't blame him, because the amount of effort and time he must spend on his work would burn most men out after less than a year.

If AVB does sign for Chelsea then I will put money us doing the treble.
