pHaRaOn 2,131
I'm not surprised O'Neil dismissal. My mate (player for Sunderland youth's) told me a days ago, that Martin will be fired if they lose to Man Utd. And, what interesting, he say that there's rumours at training ground, that Sunderland is going to invite for job... David Moyes!
Bosnian Blue 2,471
Would be something if Robbie goes to Sunderland and his first game in charge is at the Bridge.
Ollie 4,400
Sunderland sacking O'Neil is not really a shock but it's their useless players just not doing anything. I don't really think it's O'Neil's fault because he's a good manager but there is defo something wrong there. He'll be good at Everton next season. OneMoSalah 8,886
That goal Bale scored, wow. It seems hes really improved technically, I said on twitter that a year ago I wouldn't have said hes that good technically but hes doing all sorts of things very impressively. I wonder if that's down to Villas-Boas' coaching or just Bale wanting to improve in that aspect. How many people in the PL could score a goal similar to that? 5? Suarez, Bale, RVP, Hazard, Rooney and even possibly Mata or Silva? In fact in Europe there are only a few other players I believe who could score a similar goal including Messi, Ronaldo, Inieista and Zlatan possibly. Incredible really. English Freak 456
So Arsenal win, Spurs win..and we screw up against Southampton...I just don't see Chelsea finishing in the top 4 anymore. Our backup players are pathetic (Bertrand, Benayoun, Marin)..

Strike 7,494
Hardly surprising when our corners have hardly beat the 1st man. Sometimes you gotta wonder what the players are doing during training. It's clear that our corner takings and even the crossing needs to be improved but yet they don't seem to be working on it in training when we keep on producing rubbish corners and crosses!Compare the amount of consistent quality crosses(especially!) delivered during the 09/10 season and now, you will see a massive stark contrast. It's quite ridiculous really!Yeah, Anelka/Malouda were zipping them in back then. Yesterday Moses was awful. just awful. Should go and practice his crossing. And also, he needs to use his left foot instead of trying to turn every time when stuck on the left foot

Ollie 4,400
Tottenham's next 3 games are Everton (H), Chelsea (A), Man City (H). Obviously 3 very tough games.

That's 3 days after Spurs' little vacation in Switzerland and our trip to Russia.think it'd be good to play yesterday's team in the EL game. Maybe even throw in Ake and Blackman in there
Ollie 4,400
Actually, looking at the table and the fixtures, Sunderland WILL go down this season.
Jase 43,479
Tottenham's next 3 games are Everton (H), Chelsea (A), Man City (H). Obviously 3 very tough games. Wouldn't put it past them to take 9 points from there. Everton would be without Fellaini and Pienaar. We are well...we, consistently inconsistenty. And Man City have hardly anything to play for already. Not sure they would bother too much apart from making sure Spurs & the rest don't catch up to them in 2nd.Should also note that our game against Spurs would be postponed if we get to the FA Cup Semi Final. Jase 43,479
Yeah, Anelka/Malouda were zipping them in back then.Wasn't just them though. Was basically the whole back then. Even Cole and Ivanovic during that season knows how to deliver consistent quality crosses. Now, one doesn't even cross anymore and the other, takes yonks to put a ball into the box! OR even when they do cross the ball, the quality of it is desperately lacking.
Mundaka 243
Tottenham are also flying atm, Bale/Vertonghen have been in very good form lately, our game against him at home will be crucial i think.
Ollie 4,400
That's the thing now, these teams that have nothing to play for. It might also work in our favour. Liverpool probably have nothing to play for when we go there, Man Utd will already be champions, Swansea's season is over which is more annoying since they've laid down again both north london dirt, Everton last game could be meaningless for them. But then it also makes teams play with more freedom. I do think Tottenham may win all 3 too worryingly but the game we have with them is huge. Before yesterday's game they lost 3 in a row conceding 8 goals. We need to just make sure we beat them. It will probably be the key game of the season.
