We're very lucky that Spuds, Arse, and United are even more shite than we are. It's like we're begging them to catch us up and pass us but they refuse.

Its a double edged sword.....we ourselves encourage these fuckers to catch us cuz we dont take the breaks handed to us. All 4 teams are shite.

There's a reason we are still 4th despite having the month from hell, we earned it by being so much better than the chasing pack before the last international break.

That's what point cushions are there for, safety net incase things go south.

Thank god for the win at Spurs...

Well as it stands Man U are a point behind. Not over yet and we've still gotta play but they win and we lose...oh...they've come from no where!

I'd say hopefully Burnley can get something but tbh..its all in our not so capable hands

Oh goodie as it stands Man U are a point behind.

they need the same 5 players we do (we also need a CF, and I understand why Manure is going after Håland now, but these are the 5 they need for next year to have true shot at title

WC CB

WC LB

WC DMF

WC AMF

WC RW

they, like us (with Kante) but even more so as he is unhappy, have a huge decision to make with their best MF, Pogba

I think they sell him and grab Saul

if they grab Saul, I can so see them activating Thomas Partey's RC

they will also go after same players we are in Sancho, Chilwell, if not Thomas, maybe Declan Rice, and if they miss on Håland, perhaps they bid on Werner

I still say OGS is not good enough, and they surely will be looking at Poch in the summer if they miss out on CL, Allegri and Simeone too, and maybe even Nagelsmann, especially if he wins the Bundesliga

they are in  far better medium to long term situation (as they WILL fill those missing links, they have insane revenues and cash to play with, plus will get huge quid for Pogba) than Arse, Spuds, Wolves, Leicester, and IF we really cock up transfers, us as well, unfortunately

they are soon going to renovate and expand OT as well

These days there seems to be a massive influx of managers at smaller teams who follow up strong and promising first season's with truly diabolical second season's. It's a big theme at Everton especially with Martinez, Koeman and Silva.

I wonder what it is that makes this happen a lot, do they overestimate they're own ability thinking they can take the club to heights no one expects but then loses motivation when they realise they were a little too unrealistic in their ambitions?

With your pettiness.

Elaborate. If the attacker's shoulder is ahead of the defender's knee when the ball is played, is it offsides or not? I'll answer for you. It is. I'm trying to be as unbiased as I can. If we lose a 90th minute winner against Arsenal because Aubameyang's shoulder was ahead of our last defender, I will be livid. Because he's offsides....

Giving leeway for VAR completely destroys its purpose and will only create more inconsistencies in the long run.

I am still confused by VAR because some of the goals this last few round of fixtures, there have been some really really close calls, like a ball hair away. Ones that 10 years ago theyd just say the common cliche "you just give the attacker the advantage" and then times before that it was the defenders who got the advantage.

I think VAR will be limited more to use on the more obvious calls in the upcoming seasons around Europe or I feel it should be although I suppose weve been complaining about officiating for too long. It is good as it gives the referees continual support in the games but I feel it will also breed contempt among certain referees (hopefully not the better ones) who will purely rely on it as opposed to their gut instinct (which can be correct with the very good ones).

Ill be livid at the minute because of the inconsistency about it but in general I've always been very pro give the benefit of any doubt to the attacker. Had Promes's goal been given against us I wouldn't have even noticed the marginal offside unless the commentary team or conspiracy theorists kicked up a fuss. Would anyone of noticed Mount being marginally offside in the build up Vs Liverpool?

In my opinion the definition of offside should be if you can draw a line in between the last defender and attacker, offside was created in the first place to prevent goal hanging, getting all precious about the tiniest thing is just too much.
