Rmpr 8,977
So City have released their revenue figures.Scratching my head at how they could possibly have edged us in revenue. Chelsea is a MUCH bigger club with MUCH bigger global support.PSG as well.Because their owners use their own companies to overpay in sponsorship... communicate 2,703
Liverpool games showed biggest problem for team like everton, they just don't have enough squad depth. They lose Distin and Coleman and their back line looked really awful
Jype 6,398
Much better sponsorship ?Well, they did sell the naming rights to their stadium and are getting around £40m extra a year for it.Etihad money comes from Sheikh Mansour's brother and some of their other sponsorship deals are also funded by Abu Dhabi money belonging to either Mansour himself or his friends / family. Some could even describe all that as unfair because the source of the money is still pretty much the owner's pockets but it's only done that way to make their books look more flattering in hopes that UEFA believe it and cut them some slack with the FFP rules.Also:@RobHarris: "Man City made £47m selling "intellectual property" to "third parties" or "related parties". Without that would have lost more than 2011-12"So, can someone tell me what exactly is this intellectual property they've sold to some mysterious Abu Dhabi investment group? City's coaching team goes to teach some local amateurs how to manage a football team and the club gets paid almost £50m for it?
Pizy 18,896
So in other words, they're selling things to themselves? Wtf!? lolCity are shady as hell. They don't give a toss about FFP and were one of, if not the only club to object to it. They had a ridiculously expensive squad last season and went and spent another 100m like it was nothing. All due to these super shady sponsorship deals and loopholes. Supporters of other clubs like United and Arse still make fun of us and say we aren't a truly big club, but like it or not we are. We're an absolutely massive, globally supported club. City aren't. Just have a fuck ton of cash.
Rmpr 8,977
So in other words, they're selling things to themselves? Wtf!? lolPretty much!!!However, this is extremely common in the business world. When a company doesnt want to show that a certain department is doing THAT bad, they move money from another department so they can disguise the losses. And about the FFP, no ones really cares about it. The difference is some clubs (Chelsea, Manure, Barcelona, etc) are in position to PRETEND to follow it, since it gives us political advantadge. Whereas clubs with low income like ManCity and PSG cant afford that luxury... Pizy
BleedsBlue 1,549
Manchester City report a loss of £52m for the 12/13 season. Add that to the £98m loss they had the year before and even after writing off any 'exceptional costs' they're still down over a £100m for FFP's first monitoring period which means they're pretty much fucked. Will be the first real opportunity for UEFA to show if they mean business with the FFP or if it's all just fancy talk. maybe they'll sell us Aguero for 37m

Whereas clubs with low income like ManCity and PSG cant afford that luxury...I mentioned this before, but it appears no one seems to really care. I really think the FFP is just a made up bullshit, cause if they where for real they would have negated that sponsorship deal that they have. It doesn't' seem legit to me, but FFP couldn't give two cents about that, so the whole FFP as of now seems like a big illusion. So if this is the case, then my question is why Roman hasn't done a deal similar to that of what City has just done? Or PSG did as well. Club sell Mata for "financial" reason as well. So why the hell are we following this FFP? And clubs like City, PSG, and maybe Monaco in the not too distant future find loopholes around it? FFP is a joke, nothing else! Does it really matter how Citeh gets the money ? Not to me. Roman is not kosher either or is he ?

Does anyone really believe Mata was sold for financial reasons? He didn't fit the team anymore and wasn't getting enough playing time so best for all parties he moved on, getting a club record fee was only a bonus. And why Chelsea aren't doing dodgy sponsorship deals like City and PSG are? Well, for one they aren't needed because no matter how loopholed the FFP might be we are still going to comply with the rules. And maybe, just maybe the club have a long term plan to one day be a self sufficient top club respected by everyone around the world, a club whose success is not at all dependent on the owner and whose titles aren't so easily written off for having more money than the other teams? We seem to be doing just fine as it is and the future is very bright for the club so there's no need to change things now. Abramovich has invested massively in the club and it's now time for him to start enjoying the fruit of those investments. Fernando
bushman 2,043
Roman invested money because he enjoys watching the team. Since his worth is close to 12 billions he does not care about a 50 million loss.

Magic Lamps 11,692
We can just already congratulate City to the title. They are far too good to fuck it up now. We were always the ones to fuck it up because of our lack of goalthreats, I just did not expect us to do so that early. xPetrCechx
