Agree with the notion that the English media is reactive in general but on the other hand, that piece does have a point. Mangala has been underwhelming so far. Only had that 1 good game against us and that was it really.

It's annoying because we essentially acclimatised Eto'o for Everton..

The club didn't want to keep him so it's hard to be annoyed about that.

That being said, in their current state Eto'o is better than Drogba and having him fully settled would have been better than having 36-year-old DD who's been away for a couple of years so I'm not exactly sure why Jose didn't want him to stay. Either way I have absolutely no complaints about having Costa, Remy and Drogba as our three strikers.
