Chelsea said in a statement: "Chelsea can confirm that yesterday it made a written offer to Manchester United for the transfer of Wayne Rooney. Although the terms of the offer are confidential, for the avoidance of doubt and contrary to what is apparently being briefed to press in Sydney, the proposed purchase price does not include the transfer or loan of any player from Chelsea to Manchester United."

Shows how important it was having SaF as manager. Just this week they've lost out on 3 top targets: Strootman, Thiago, and I guess you could say Fibreglass.

Now with this 'stunt' they've completely embarrassed themselves.

Rooney will leave, Moyes will be sacked within 2 seasons. The United ship is sinking.

Fun.

Now rooney knows that we really want him.

Make it happen.

Push for the transfer request.

It's isn't needed anymore to push now that Rooney knows we moved for him.

Let him make some internal pressure over there. If we bid again, they will wait for the higher fee. But if we stay calm, may be will we get him for the present one

"Although the terms of the offer are confidential, for avoidance of doubt and contrary to what is currently being briefed to the press in Sydney, the proposed purchase price does not include the transfer or loan of any players from Chelsea to Manchester United."
