The only place to be 11,313
Let's assume Cavani sings, let's assume he does produce, you make it sound like Lukaku would be getting no playing time at all. From that point onwards it's his job to prove his worth not wait for favours. Football is a very competetive place, it's not a charityLukaku is a young man who clearly loves this club. He has a fantastic attitude and went away and scored 17 goals in the Premier League with limited game time at a club who aren't nearly as consistent as us.This young man has done more than anyone expected. I simply don't understand how people can not be willing to give him a chance. Football isn't simply about winning - maybe that's an old-fashioned view because I supported Chelsea before we were contending for titles, but sport has always been more than just the glory. It's about the personal relationships you build with fellow supporters and the people who put that shirt on and give their all for the team.Lukaku is one of us. He deserves our support. Cavani is at this moment just one more tart wiggling his arse in the direction of anyone willing to pay him. He might sell shirts, he might become a legend for us but some people really have to ask themselves what exactly they're supporting this club for. The only place to be 11,313
Just because he wants to be no1 doesn't MEAN HE WILL BE. If he want to be no1, he has to be the best we got and if he want to be the best, he need to prove it. And how exactly does he prove it? By scoring 17 goals in his first season? By showing dedication to his craft? I don't think he will ever be as good as CavaniI don't know. Maybe in 3 or 4 years he could be. I don't know how you can be that certain.well not for 3-4 years anyway. Oh right....so you agree, because earlier (like literally a split-second ago) you were saying he wouldn't ever be as good. Are there two of you writing these posts? Maybe one of you should take over and then it would be less confusing. Rambo

The Mak 4,459
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8781427/Transfer news: Edinson Cavani has described Real Madrid as a 'beautiful team'"I am very calm. Real Madrid are a beautiful team, every player dreams of playing there when he is a child."What is it with South American/Continental players and Madrid? Yeah, they used to pretty good. They also won the European trophy about 5 times in 10 years, or some crap, at the beginning of the competition when it was practically rigged. As far as I can see, Barca will have the league the majority of the time as long as Messi is there, so they're not moving for trophies really. Their fantastic fans who abuse their manager's wife? Perhaps it's the player power? Maybe they fancy themselves running a club? I just don't get the fascination... By fighting for his place like anyone else, Cavani will have bad games, that is when his chance will come. How much will EA be paying to stick any of those on the front of FIFA?I mean is it really even worth cheering for a player who cost less than £20 million? LOL WTF, why is shirts or EA got anything to do with this?Like I said, if he is really that good, then he would be able to compete with a better player no problem. What do you define by giving him his chance? Let him play at least 30 BPL games? Well he will be if he is good enough like I said and IF Cavani flops which hopefully he won't. This is one of those signings that is a statement signing - it's put out there to attract fickle fans and television ratings, which is sadly what football is becoming.Rather than saying to a young man (who cares about this club deeply) that we're ready to take a chance with you, we're going for the 'proven article' and we'll stick with him for longer than we should because he cost a fuckload of money. All those people who think we should bend over and let Napoli name their price better at least have the fucking good grace to order EVERY kit we bring out with Cavani's name on it....get a fucking bobblehead doll too. Special Juan 28,139
Edinson Cavani continues to send messages to Real Madrid, but until now no concrete returns. And tomorrow, as we explained yesterday, will consume an important meeting in London. Chelsea will push to close, has already proposed more than 50 million, will try to get closer to clause 62.8 million. A Mourinho serves a great striker, he identified Cavani, the market of Naples could be a turning point. For the moment there are no counterparts, but it is a situation to be carefully monitored. Tomorrow likely a crucial point iceboy
