Not exactly holding but deep-lying playmaking midfielder, and you know whose trademark such players are ..

The club is just easing McEachran into adult football. The DM position allows him to see much of the ball and rarely does the opposition target DM for rough treatment, that is usually reserved for the atacking players.

McEachran is clearly an advanced midfield player, probably a LCM like Lampard that will link the midfield and attack together.

There is no problem with him playing some minutes as a DM, I'd rather that then throw him in at the deep end and rely on him for goals and assists. He doesn't need that pressure now.

Yuri for me is too much in limbo, neither a settled left back or a winger. If we are taking a good look at our squad then i would like to see us fill the spot with someone more settled. I would rather he was used as a winger anyway but it doesn't happen.

Mikel though is a important player for us. Our best player at the start of the season and no more to blame for any problems than anyone else...

Also, why do people want Malouda out?

He's easily been the most consistent player in this period, he's trying. He's also our biggest goal threat from the front 3.

I'm surprised there's a few that want Sturridge out. I'm in 2 minds about Mikel, Drogba and Anelka but i feel Drogs n Anelka have a season left at least and Mikel is strong and has improved this season a bit so see what happens next season
