manpe 10,861
This is as shit as it gets: http://www.telegraph...heir-peers.htmlIt has a point though. We must remember that this is how most of the outside world sees us, Terry's character assassination has been successful and as he is the captain of Chelsea, it is an assassination attempt against the club too... and Cole hasn't exactly helped himself either. It's a common media pattern - they first build up the stars, then they kill them. Character assassinations are the most profitable sources for news outlets, but for those sources to exist, they must first be the "parents" to them. Laylabelle 9,539
''The crassness of Terry and Cole will blind the critics to the £100 million a year the Premier League gives clubs and assorted initiatives outside the elite (with parachute payments on top). They will not see the countless club community schemes, the number of players with their own private foundations, the constant visits to children’s hospitals and regular picture-signing sessions after training so that the myriad requests can be met. English football is a benevolent force yet its image is tainted by the likes of Terry and Cole.''That i s true. But usually its not mentioned much because its rare anything postive is never printed! No one cares about the nice things they do rather head about the crap, gets talked about more, gets people buying to read it etc.Like when they published about one of our players parked in a disabled space. Not a good thing no but hardly a news worthy story yet felt the need to publish it
TacticalBlues 2,817
The article has its moments of BS, but makes some valid points, this in particular:They should be basking in the limelight, enjoying the afterglow of their European success and the warming feel of their joyous football. The focus on Chelsea should be around the twinkling feet of Juan Mata, Oscar and Eden Hazard, but Terry and Cole have dragged the national spotlight on to their multiple character defects
robdog 2,084
anyone here ever watch Fox Football News? Man they are constantly throwing dirt @ CFC. The funny thing the team is so successful, they have the appearance of simple haters. That fact alone makes me not value any of their opinions on the game. They come across as Dirty Red Supporters (choose one of 3 sides). I guess I shouldn't look too much at this station, they are the ones showing being l'puke: a mid-table side about to get bounced out of the Europa Liga xD
BluesChick 1,260
When they are on the pitch, I love Terry and Cole but those two need to have some lessons in how to behave properly. Perhaps CFC needs to hire a life coach to help players deal with the fame and pressures. I really just want to ask JT every time he gets himself in these muddles if he actually thinks before he acts. I have a feeling the answer is no since as soon as one problem is cleared up and starting to die down in the media he does something else to stir the pot again. I just don't understand that!.Sorry, I will get off my soap box now!
Chelseapony 76
NY Times does a story on John Terry.http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/28/sports/soccer/john-terry-chelseas-dark-knight.htmlIn a way, Terry’s image problem is compounded by his symbiotic relationship with the team. To many English soccer fans, Chelsea is like the Yankees, only worse: obnoxious and arrogant, too rich for its own good, full of preening egomaniacs, with fans who are as entitled and pleased with themselves as the players. It does not help that in 2003, Chelsea was bought by Roman Abramovich, a Russian oligarch who, in true oligarch style, tends to throw money at problems.LOL we're the Yankees. dumps 284
Looks like the Media are trying to make our club crumble.... reports that there was a bust up in the dressing room after the WBA game, reports of torres being dropped for tonight which is going to upset torres. torres wants to go back to spain, RDM is up for the sack, We are liars for calling MC a racist....they really hate us at the moment. really hope it has no effect on the team. See no reason why RDM should be up for the sack, so we've had a bad 4 game spell AVB had a bad 3/4 of a season. AVB is having a shit season at the moment, no papers want him sacked. Mancini had a bit of stick, thats died down. its all focus on us. god knows the kind of shit that will be flying around if we happen to lose tonight...hate it when it gets like this

badenblue 21
seems they got most of it right ,someone is feeding them ... but who player or management?????The press rooms are are near changing rooms, at most grounds and pressmen are all over the place so not that difficult to pick up on any disharmony or gossip, remember pizza-gate, they just seem to ask players simple little questions, then turn the answers into the biggest melodrama going, believe only 50% of what you see, nothing of what you read. Magic Lamps 11,692
There fans r as plastic as it gets!As are Bayern fans. No argument for Pep then. Also read that "Webb jokes are not funny" which he meant "literally not funny". Well of course they are not very novel, but one should always keep the world reminding who is the refs favourite, that peoople do not forget which standards of bad refereeing we've reached. Remember the game against Manutd which cost us our entire seaso, would not have happened if an assistant ref would have seen as much as every one in front of a TV. Refs should be fully responsible for their decisions including jokes about them.
